Science Applications International (NASDAQ:SAIC), a technology and engineering firm that mainly provides services to the U.S. government, is set to announce its earnings on Monday, June 2, 2025. For traders driven by events, historical data indicates a tendency for a favorable one-day return in the stock after its earnings release. In the past five years, SAIC's stock has seen a positive one-day return in 63% of cases following earnings announcements. The median positive one-day return was 3.7%, with a maximum ability to yield a one-day return of 13.4%.
While actual results compared to consensus estimates and overall expectations will be critical, being aware of these historical trends may provide an advantage for traders. There are two main strategies to utilize this information:
Analysts estimate SAIC will report earnings of $2.12 per share on revenue of $1.87 billion. This is compared to the earnings of $1.92 per share on sales of $1.85 billion from the same quarter last year. From a fundamental standpoint, SAIC currently holds a market capitalization of $5.6 billion. In the past twelve months, the firm generated $7.5 billion in revenue, with operating profits of $561 million and net income of $362 million. That said, if you're looking for potential gains with reduced volatility compared to individual stocks, the Trefis High Quality portfolio offers an alternative, having outperformed the S&P 500 and achieving returns of over 91% since its launch.

A relatively lower-risk strategy (though it may not be useful if the correlation is minimal) is to comprehend the correlation between short-term and medium-term returns post earnings, pinpoint a pair that shows the strongest correlation, and execute the correct trade. For instance, if 1D and 5D demonstrate the highest correlation, a trader can position themselves "long" for the following 5 days if the 1D post-earnings return is favorable. Here is some correlation information based on the 5-year and more recent 3-year history. Note that the 1D_5D correlation refers to the relationship between 1D post-earnings returns and the subsequent 5D returns.

Sounders protest MLS's Club World Cup player payout cap, backed by MLSPA
Seattle Sounders players took the field ahead of their match against Minnesota United Sunday night wearing protest T-shirts, expressing their disapproval of their potential prize money allocation for the upcoming Club World Cup. The Sounders, along with Inter Miami and – after Saturday night's play-in win over Club América – LAFC, will participate in the tournament, which kicks off on June 14. Advertisement Seattle players warmed up for the match wearing shirts emblazoned with a pair of slogans: 'Club World Ca$h Grab' and 'Fair Share Now.' The Emerald City Supporters, the primary supporters' group of the Sounders, joined the protest as well, chanting the slogans along with a more pointed message: 'you dirty greedy bastards.' All three MLS clubs taking part in the tournament will receive $9.55 million simply for qualifying, the standard allocation set aside by FIFA for any club from Concacaf. That sum grows as teams advance through the tournament, with teams earning $2 million for every win and $1 million for a draw. Simply advancing out of the tournament's group stage would garner another $7.5 million. It is a potentially massive windfall for any MLS team, many of whom lose money every year. Players, though, are only guaranteed a fraction of that prize pool. The collective bargaining agreement between MLS and its players stipulates specific bonus payouts for tournaments that MLS players typically compete in, like the U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup and Leagues Cup. Their share of the prize pool from tournaments which aren't specifically addressed is capped at $1 million. The Club World Cup was still years from being announced when the CBA was ratified in 2021. Player payouts in other leagues vary, and Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei addressed the disparity with The Seattle Times in March. 'If you're going to be on the field and playing against an opponent that's making $700,000 for the same appearance, then you're asking yourself, 'Did we earn the right to play in this game?' If so, I'm not asking for $700,000, but it's a big, big, big difference,' Frei said. The MLSPA, the labor union that represents MLS players, released its own statement on Sunday, expressing support for Seattle's cause and touching on long-standing concerns with the physical workload placed on MLS players by the sport's ever-expanding schedule. Advertisement 'FIFA's new tournament piles on to players' ever-increasing workload without regard to their physical well-being. In order to seize this additional calendar territory, FIFA had to commit historic amounts of prize money to secure club and player participation. As a result, MLS will receive an unprecedented windfall. Despite this windfall, the league has refused to allocate a fair percentage of those funds to the players themselves.' The MLSPA and all MLS players stand united with the Seattle Sounders players who tonight demanded a fair share of the FIFA Club World Cup prize money. #FairShareNow #FIFACWC Full statement: — MLSPA (@MLSPA) June 1, 2025 The statement also says that the MLSPA's members have 'privately and respectfully' invited the league to discuss a potential renegotiation of bonus terms for the Club World Cup but says the league has simply referred them to the terms of the CBA. 'It is the players who make the game possible,' read the statement. 'It is the players who are lifting MLS up on the global stage. They expect to be treated fairly and with respect.' The Sounders will play all three of their group games in the Club World Cup at home, against Botafogo, Atlético Madrid and newly crowned UEFA Champions League winner PSG.

ASP Isotopes and Isotopia Announce Supply Agreement for Gadolinium-160 to Accelerate Terbium-161 Production for Advanced Cancer Therapies
PETACH TIKVA, Israel, June 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- ASP Isotopes Inc. (NASDAQ: ASPI) and Isotopia Molecular Imaging Ltd. have entered into a strategic agreement to secure the supply of Gadolinium-160 (Gd-160), a critical precursor isotope for producing Terbium-161 (Tb-161), an emerging medical isotope with significant potential in targeted radiotherapeutics. This partnership addresses longstanding supply challenges for Gd-160, enabling Isotopia to advance Tb-161-based therapies for prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and other malignancies. Under the agreement, ASP Isotopes will leverage its proprietary Quantum Enrichment technology to provide Isotopia with enriched Gd-160, a stable isotope essential for manufacturing Tb-161. The collaboration combines ASP Isotopes' expertise in large-scale isotope enrichment—previously demonstrated through its production of Ytterbium-176 (Yb-176)—with Isotopia's proven capabilities in commercial-scale medical isotope production. Isotopia has consistently manufactured Lutetium-177 (Lu-177) and maintained weekly Tb-161 production for its clinical trials over the past two years. Paul Mann, CEO of ASP Isotopes, emphasized the agreement's significance: "By supplying Gd-160, we are eliminating a major bottleneck in the development of Tb-161 therapies. Our investment in enrichment technology positions us to support the radiopharmaceutical industry's growing demand for stable isotopes. This partnership accelerates the path to clinical adoption of Tb-161, which could redefine cancer treatment paradigms." Dr. Eli Shalom, CEO of Isotopia, highlighted Tb-161's therapeutic advantages: "Tb-161's dual mechanism of action, including Auger electron emissions, enables precise targeting of micro-metastases while minimizing damage to healthy tissues. This partnership ensures a reliable Gd-160 supply chain, allowing us to scale production and advance our Tb-161-labeled drug candidates toward commercialization. We produce in our site in Israel and shortly the production will start in our second site in Indianapolis in the US." Tb-161's Auger electrons induce double-strand DNA breaks in cancer cells, offering potential advantages over Lu-177 and alpha-emitting isotopes. This precision aligns with the oncology field's shift toward targeted radiotherapeutics, which improve efficacy and reduce side effects. The agreement comes as global interest in radiopharmaceuticals surges, driven by their ability to deliver localized radiation therapy via tumor-seeking molecules. About ASP Isotopes Inc.
