EXCLUSIVE 80s TV heartthrob who could save the day with a Swiss Army knife and duct tape gets a haircut in Malibu...who is it?

Daily Mail28-04-2025
He found fame as the quick-thinking heartthrob who could save the day with a Swiss Army knife and some duct tape on a hit 80s television series.
The popular character became a true pop culture icon, with his name now a slang term to describe a clever, makeshift solution to any problem.
The Hollywood veteran would later make a splash in the sci-fi world, starring as Jack O'Neill in 1997 series Stargate SG-1.
These days, the reclusive actor tends to keep a very low profile, choosing to live a quiet life away from the spotlight.
But he was recently spotted in a rare public outing in Malibu, where he has been based since pulling back from Hollywood.
Can you guess who it is?
It's Richard Dean Anderson!
The 75-year-old was snapped treating himself to a stylish new haircut at a trendy salon earlier this month.
Despite becoming a pop culture phenomenon for his role as problem solver Angus MacGyver on the ABC series that ran from 1985 to 1992, Anderson has long been known as somewhat of a reluctant celebrity.
Yet exclusive DailyMail.com photos show his warm and easygoing charm remains intact with fans and members of the public, decades after his heyday.
Anderson appeared sprightly and in good spirits during his hair appointment at CIE salon.
The silver-haired legend has sported long locks in recent years as well as a full beard, but opted to trim off his rugged look for a cleaner, neater style.
He chose to keep his signature longhaired style but opted for a cleaner, fresh look
He was all smiles while chatting to the hairdresser about the length of his trim and at one point gave her a thumbs up.
On his way out, Anderson – who had arrived with a much shaggier appearance – appeared elated over his new look.
He took time out to chat about his tidy haircut.
The actor was dressed for comfort, sporting a black sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and sneakers.
The outing marks Anderson's first public sighting in about two years.
Before retreating from acting roles in the last decade, he had spent much of his career traveling among his home state of Minnesota, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.
When he first moved to Hollywood he found work as a whale handler at a marine show, a musician in medieval dinner theater and as a street mime and juggler among other jobs.
He had five years on General Hospital, appeared on the long-forgotten Navy soap Emerald Point N.A.S. and starred in the acclaimed Vietnam TV movie Ordinary Heroes opposite Valerie Bertinelli.
He is now settled in Malibu, where he helped design and build his Midwest-style home – which was once featured in Architectural Digest.
Anderson's big break came in the mid 80s while playing the leading role on the ABC adventure show MacGyver.
Secret agent MacGyver – for whom the term 'MacGyverism' was coined – was known for jerry-rigging objects by quickly recreating them in an innovative way in order to solve a problem or accomplish a task.
Some of his skills included diffusing a bomb with a paper clip and building a weapon using the springs of a mattress.
In fact when it came to defending himself, MacGyver famously refused to use a gun, always relying on his quick thinking and savvy tools.
Anderson reprised his role as the sleuth in 2012 for a three episode run called MacGyver and The New Citan.
A reboot of the iconic show starring Lucas Till as the titular role premiered in 2016.
After MacGyver ended in 1992, Anderson earned himself a new fan base among the intergalactic fan community with the Stargate TV series.
Taking a shot at things behind the camera, he served as executive producer of Stargate as well as two MacGyver movies – maintaining his leading roles.

Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson's homeless ex-wife Loni Willison, 42, seen wearing Rolex watch in Beverly Hills

Homeless former model Loni Willison was pictured walking through Beverly Hills alone on Sunday. Willson, 42, who is the ex-wife of Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson, 44, carried two bags of her belongings as she made her way down an alley. The California native — who once posed for fitness magazines and walked the red carpet at glamorous events alongside her then-husband, Jeremy, before becoming homeless — appeared to be wearing a silver Rolex watch during the outing. Willson sported a beige tank top with brown leggings and black converse sneakers. She had a denim long-sleeve shirt tied around her waist, and wore a backwards red snapback hat. Aside from the watch, she also wore two necklaces as well as a number of bracelets. Loni's tragic downfall comes after she blamed her ex-husband, Jeremy, for causing all of the problems in her life. Loni, born on May 21, 1983, in Hemet, California, was once a booming fitness model who posed for magazines like Glam Fit, Flavour Magazine, and Iron Man Magazine. But her life fell apart in the 2010s. She went through a divorce, lost her job, and ultimately her home after suffering from mental health issues and an addiction to crystal meth - which ultimately left her living on the streets. In an interview published in May 2023 by X17 Online, she was asked where her life went wrong. She simply replied: 'My ex-husband. Getting married. At least I got divorced... it set everything up.' The couple had an acrimonious split in 2014 after they had been married for less than two years. Loni has alleged Jeremy attempted to strangle her in a physical altercation when they were drunk. In 2018 she was first pictured homeless on the streets after years out of the public eye. At the time, she spoke to about her downfall, revealing that she suffered from a mental breakdown in 2016 and started to believe that someone was sending electrical currents into her body that could only be fixed by taking crystal meth. In the interview with X17 Online, the former bodybuilder said she was 'in a lot of pain' as her stomach hurt 'really bad.' She claimed she 'can't live inside anywhere' because someone 'electrocuted' her every day for nearly a year and she now can't be exposed to electricity. 'I think because [I pick] up on the electricity, I also pick up on other things, like certain chemicals or batteries, or fuses, like wire, different types of metals. So I think my body even filters that kind of stuff,' Loni said. She first spoke out against him in 2015 after the former Baywatch star was booted from Celebrity Big Brother in the UK for exposing fellow housemate Chloe Goodman's breast. The Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire division confirmed to that a domestic disturbance call was placed from Willison and Jackson's LA home in August 2014. The incident reportedly left her with two broken ribs, an injured neck and scratches on her face and body. However, the case was dropped after Willison opted not to press charges. She told The Sun in 2021: 'I didn't report him when he attacked me because I was scared. I was in a bad place emotionally and I didn't want Jeremy to go to jail. 'But after all this I think I should have. Maybe then I could have stopped Chloe having to go through that. 'I'm not surprised this happened. I know what Jeremy is like. At least now everyone can see what I had to put up with.' Opening up for the first time about the events that led to the end of his marriage in an exclusive interview with Jeremy said in October: 'Losing her was like the death of somebody, and I tried to bring her back and I couldn't.' 'The woman I was in love with is gone, and whoever she is mentally now is not who I knew.' Jackson said it took him two years to get over his grief at the loss of 'the love of my life' who he had desperately tried to help as she spiraled into mental illness and addiction.

Jade Thirlwall has 'daily battle against Ozempic' after cruel pregnancy comments

Jade Thirlwall has made the heartbreaking confession that she struggles daily to not use weight-loss drugs after trolling. The Little Mix star has been dominating the music scene this year in preparation for her debut solo album, That's Showbiz, Baby! However, being under the spotlight has not come without its battles, particularly pressures to look a certain way and lose weight. 'I have a daily battle with myself not to go on Ozempic,' Jade, 32, confessed to The Guardian in a new interview. 'I don't judge people that do, but because I have a history of eating disorders, I don't know where taking something like that would end for me.' Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs suppress your appetite while controlling glucose levels and other hunger signals, resulting in dramatic weight loss. She continued: 'Little Mix fans were all about empowerment and celebrating your body however you look. Now I'm in my 30s and the healthiest I've ever been, but every time I post a picture, there are comments saying, 'She must be pregnant.'' Jade's bandmates, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, have all welcomed children since the group went on hiatus. While the Angel of My Dreams hitmaker is settled with Rizzle Kicks icon Jordan Stephens, the pair have not publicly discussed plans to have children. 'The sad thing is that it's usually women,' she added. 'But people are used to seeing me in a group environment five or 10 years ago when I was stick-thin because I was in my early 20s with an eating disorder.' Little Mix were put together on The X Factor in 2011, becoming the first group and only girl group to ever win the long-running competition show. The Black Magic hitmakers sold over 75milion records, landing five UK number ones, 16 Top 10s, and three Brit Awards. Jade admitted that she shouldn't have been allowed to compete as she was incredibly fragile at the time, having just been discharged from hospital. Looking back at old photos, she now sees how 'very very thin' she was despite not believing she had relapsed under the industry pressure. 'Historically, if I've ever felt that something is out of my control, then restricting food has been a means of controlling my life in a very toxic way,' Jade explained. Now, away from the pressures of being in the biggest girl group in the world, Jade is thriving as a solo artist. All four former Little Mix stars have released their own music to varying success, with Leigh-Anne admitting she didn't enjoy going her own way as much as she expected to. 'The pressure is what stopped me enjoying it as much,' she said on Capital XTRA Breakfast last month. 'Obviously, coming from such a massive group and having the pressure to do just as well as that massive group did is kind of impossible to do overnight. 'That took 10 years. It takes work. And also, I'm not doing music like the group did. Like, I've gone down a different route, and I just think those expectations kind of like weighed on me and it was like, 'This is just not fun!' 'I'm doing this solo because one, I want to have fun. You know, I deserve to have that without feeling like this horrible pressure on me.' The band was shattered when, in 2020, Jesy decided to leave the band midway through their Confetti album promotion. Jesy has also spoken about issues with mental health, revealing that trolling on social media — including a tweet from Katy Hopkins about her weight — pushed her to attempt suicide. All the Little Mix stars have said they wished Jesy the best, but the announcement took them by surprise, with no private discussion. On the Louis Theroux podcast, Jade revealed she broke down crying in her car after hearing the news, prompting partner Jordan to spring into action. She said: 'We were driving up North to see my family. I just wailed and wailed for an hour or something. 'We parked up at services and he was like, 'do you want some peace?'. And I was like, 'yes'.' 'That's when I knew he was a keeper because he was like, 'are you alright on your own for a little bit?'. I mean, I couldn't actually speak. So I was screaming. 'And then he went out into the shops and he came back with a pasty from Greggs and I thought, 'that's the one'.' Got a story?
