Daily Mail27-05-2025

Amy Dowden looked nothing short of sensational on Tuesday as she posed up a storm on her Instagram Stories during her Dubai getaway.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 34, shared a clip of her first wowing in a tiny white bikini with green, yellow, and pink floral detailing.
The stunning two-piece featured tie-up straps and showed off her toned and tanned figure.
Beaming in the clip, she pulled her golden locks into an up do and shielded her eyes with a pair of stylish sunglasses.
The star then clicked her fingers and the clip jumped to her in a stunning beach dress of the same print.
'Love this set I found the other day in Primark,' She penned on top of the post.

It comes a week after Amy shared a photo from hospital in her latest health update after announcing she was cancer-free last year.
The dancer was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023 and underwent chemotherapy and a mastectomy.
After receiving the amazing news she was cancer-free in February 2024, Amy made her return to the 'best show on TV' last September after putting much 'pressure' on herself during her battle with the disease.
In an Instagram story, the 'breast cancer warrior' shared a photo from her latest scan weeks after announcing she is 'feeling stronger than ever'.
Dressed in a hospital gown, Amy took mirror selfie while posing with her fingers crossed.
She captioned the post: 'Scan 1 done, now my MRI,' along with nine 'fingers-crossed' emojis.
Since receiving the all-clear, Amy has regularly used her Instagram, where she has more than 700,000 followers, to raise awareness about cancer and her check-ups.
The Welsh dancer revealed on Sunday she had raised a whopping £53,000 for breast cancer charities Cop a Feel and Breast Cancer Now after a campaign in late 2024.
While Amy cracked a a smile in the sunshine for the Instagram post, she held the T-shirts which she sold as part of the campaign.
She captioned the heartwarming post: 'THANK YOU, from the tickled pink campaign last Sept/Oct we raised an INCREDIBLE 53k TOWARDS @coppafeel and @breastcancernow.
'Thank you so much to everyone who bought a t-shirt and supported the campaign and of course to @asda @georgeatasda. #thankyou'
After making her return to Strictly in September 2024 with JLS star JB Gill, Amy was forced to withdraw on week six due to a foot injury.
The dancer recently opened up about the 'pressure' she put on herself to return before admitting she hadn't properly 'accepted' everything after her cancer treatment.
She told The Mirror: 'Last year it was a lot of emotions, excitement but I think also pressure that I had put on myself.
'I wasn't confident in myself really deep down, I think I was still trying to accept everything. I didn't look the same, with my hair growing back, you could see a difference in me.'
At the time Amy had been eagerly waiting to hear whether or not she would be featured on the 2025 series of Strictly, which will begin in the autumn.
It was confirmed early in April that Amy will indeed be returning once again, with the dancer stating on Instagram that she is 'grateful' for the opportunity.
'So grateful to be back on the best show on TV for my 9th year with my strictly family,' she wrote.
'This show means everything to me, through the highs and my all time lows, it truly got me through my toughest of times.
'The show is pure magic and good for the soul. I'm feeling stronger than ever. The countdown begins to be back in the rehearsal room with my strictly family. Who else is counting down the days? Keep dancing!'

Israeli gunfire kills at least 17 Palestinians near aid site, say health authorities

Israeli gunfire has killed at least 17 Palestinians, with dozens more injured, near a US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid distribution site in central Gaza, reports from local health authorities indicate. Medical personnel reported that the injured were transported to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat camp, central Gaza, and Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City, located in the north. The Israeli military has said that it is investigating the incident. Last week, it had cautioned Palestinians against approaching routes to GHF sites between the hours of 6pm and 6am local time, designating these areas as closed military zones. The GHF has not released an immediate statement regarding Tuesday's events. The group initiated its food package distribution in Gaza in late May, implementing a new aid distribution method that the United Nations has described as lacking impartiality and neutrality. Many Gazans say they have to walk for hours to reach the sites, meaning they have to start travelling well before dawn if they are to stand any chance of receiving food. While the GHF has said there have been no incidents at its so-called secure distribution sites, Palestinians seeking aid have described disorder, and access routes to the sites have been beset by chaos and deadly violence. "I went there at 2am hoping to get some food, on my way there, I saw people returning empty-handed, they said aid packages have run out in five minutes, this is insane and isn't enough," said Mohammad Abu Amr, 40, a father of two. "Dozens of thousands arrive from the central areas and from the northern areas too, some of them walked for over 20 km (12 miles), only to come back home with disappointment," he said via a chat app. He said he heard the firing but didn't see what happened. Israel allowed limited UN-led operations to resume on 19 May after an 11-week blockade in the enclave of 2.3 million people, where experts have warned a famine looms. The UN has described the aid allowed into Gaza as "drop in the ocean". Witnesses said at least 40 trucks carrying flour for UN warehouses were looted by desperate displaced Palestinians as well as thieves near Nabulsi roundabout along the coastal road in Gaza City. The war erupted after Hamas-led militants took 251 hostages and killed 1,200 people, most of them civilians, in the 7 October 2023, attack, Israel's single deadliest day. Israel's military campaign has since killed more than 54,000 Palestinians, most of them civilians, according to health authorities in Gaza, and flattened much of the coastal enclave.

Israeli gunfire kills 17 people near Gaza aid site, health officials say

CAIRO, June 10 (Reuters) - Israeli gunfire killed at least 17 Palestinians and wounded dozens of others as thousands of displaced people approached an aid distribution site of the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in central Gaza on Tuesday, local health authorities said. Medics said the casualties were rushed at two hospitals, the Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, and the Al-Quds in Gaza City, in the north. The Israeli military said they are looking into the incident. Last week it warned Palestinians not to approach routes leading to GHF sites between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. local time, describing these roads as closed military zones. There was no immediate GHF comment on Tuesday's incident. The GHF began distributing food packages in Gaza at the end of May, overseeing a new model of aid distribution which the United Nations says is neither impartial nor neutral. However, many Gazans say they have to walk for hours to reach the sites, meaning they have to start travelling well before dawn if they are to stand any chance of receiving food. While the GHF has said there have been no incidents at its so-called secure distribution sites, Palestinians seeking aid have described disorder and access routes to the sites have been beset by chaos and deadly violence. Ali Bastian shares candid health update following breast cancer journey

Ali Bastian, who has been in soaps Hollyoaks and Doctors, had a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy following her stage II breast cancer diagnosis last year Former Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian said her body is "under construction" as she opened up about her cancer journey. After Ali was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer last year, the 42-year-old actress underwent gruelling chemotherapy and had a mastectomy. However, she delighted fans in March this year by revealing she had overcome the disease, statistically the most common cancer in the UK. ‌ Speaking in a podcast this week, Ali said: "I couldn't have a reconstruction at the time because we always knew I'd have to have radiotherapy. At some point there'll be some kind of something. ‌ "Initially I was like 100 per cent it's happening. But now, I want to have the conversations and talk through what the options are, but I'm not actually married to any of them at the moment." The actress, who portrayed Becca Dean in Hollyoaks from 2001 to 2007, gave the update on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, presented by Giovanna Fletcher. Giovanna, 40, asked Ali how she handled her recovery so far, to which Ali said: "In some ways better than I would have imagined actually, even the sort of gearing up for a mastectomy. I've got a really good prosthetic that makes a big difference. It means in clothes I feel normal. It's bright pink. It makes me happy. "It's just very different to the lump of silicone that you get handed in the hospital, which is a hell of a moment. This is a lot lighter and easy to wear. I quite like that it doesn't look like a chicken fillet, like a pretend boob. It's something that I could show the kids as well because it's so visually appealing." Ali had a regular role in BBC soap Doctors in 2019 but left to have her first of two children, both of whom are girls. Since starting a family, she hasn't had a majpr acting credit but she told Giovanna she is looking to the future. The star, from Windsor, Berkshire, added: "I just keep saying to myself really 'I'm still under construction, I've been through a lot, I'm healing at the moment.'" The soap star, who came third in the 2009 series of Strictly Come Dancing, lost her mum in 2023, one year before the cancer journey started. Earlier this year, Ali, who has also been in The Bill, told fans her mum had a short illness. "Grief, I attempted to put on hold whilst I managed a grueling treatment regime now comes in waves, sometimes crashing, sometimes tidal, rarely gentle… but I try to go gently with myself as I navigate life after cancer and life without you," Ali penned on social media in April.
