Infinix Hot 60i 5G: Colour Options and Price (Expected)
The company has announced that the device will come in four colour options: Shadow Blue, Monsoon Green, Sleek Black, and Plum Red. This launch follows the release of the 4G version of the Infinix Hot 60i in Bangladesh in June, which featured a MediaTek Helio chipset and was priced at BDT 13,999 (around Rs. 10,000) for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 5G variant in India is expected to be priced similarly or slightly higher.

Infinix Hot 60i 5G: Specifications and Features (Confirmed)
Infinix Hot 60i 5G will feature a 6.75-inch display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will house a 6,000mAh battery, which, according to the company, is a first in its category. The battery is claimed to provide up to 128 hours of music playback.

Under the hood, the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. It will run on XOS 15, based on Android 15. For photography, the Infinix Hot 60i 5G will include a 50MP primary camera with dual-LED flash support. Camera features will include HDR and panorama modes. The rear panel will carry a rectangular camera housing with a matte finish.

In terms of durability, the Hot 60i 5G will have an IP64 rating for dust and water splash resistance. The company has also revealed that the device will support Bluetooth-based walkie-talkie connectivity. Another feature, named One-Tap Infinix AI, will allow users to carry out certain tasks using artificial intelligence tools.
The 4G variant launched earlier this year positioned the Hot 60i series as an affordable device with competitive specifications. With the addition of 5G connectivity and a larger battery, the upcoming model aims to offer a broader set of features for buyers in India's mid-range smartphone market.

Dixon Tech, Chinas HKC Overseas form Rs 370-cr JV to make display modules
New Delhi, Aug 16 (PTI) Domestic electronics contract manufacturer Dixon Technologies has formed a Rs 370 crore joint venture for display modules manufacturing with Chinese company HKC Overseas. The Dixon Technologies-HKC Overseas joint venture is for manufacturing and selling of LCD and TFT-LCD modules that are used in electronic devices like TV, mobile phones etc for display, a regulatory filing said on Saturday. 'Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd has entered into a Term Sheet with HKC Corporation Ltd to form a joint venture for manufacturing of Liquid Crystal Modules, thin film transistor liquid crystal display modules, assembly of end products such as smartphones, TVs, monitors and auto displays and selling HKC branded end products in India," the filing said. HKC Overseas Ltd will acquire 26 per cent stake in Dixon Display Technologies Pvt Ltd (DDTPL) for USD 10.998 million, about Rs 95.5 crore and Dixon will acquire 74 per cent stake in the JV for USD 31.3 million, about Rs 274 crore in two tranches. 'The company, HKC and DDTPL have executed the SSHA (share subscription and shareholders' agreement) on August 16, 2025," the filing said. Dixon has been on a spree of forming joint ventures with Chinese technology companies. Last month, the company had announced a JV with Chinese electronic component firms — Chongqing Yuhai Precision Manufacturing Co Ltd and the Indian arm of Kunshan Q Technology — for manufacturing and sales of electronic components used in electronic devices like mobile phones and laptops, among others. ‘Make in India' milestone: Electronics exports jump 47% in Q1; 99% of mobiles now made domestically
India's electronics exports have hit a major milestone, recording a sharp jump in the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26. Union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal announced on social media platform X that exports touched $12.4 billion, marking a surge of more than 47% compared with the same period in 2024-25. "Our electronics exports have seen a surge of over 47% in Q1 of 2025-26 over the same quarter in 2024-25. It is a sweet success story for 'Make In India', which has led to an exponential growth in our electronics production from $31 Bn to $133 Bn in a decade beginning 2014-15," the minister wrote. Highlighting the government's efforts to boost self-reliance or making India Aatmanirbhar in manufacturing, Goyal said India has grown from just two mobile manufacturing units in 2014 to more than 300 today. "One of the greatest journeys has been our transformation from a mobile importer to becoming the world's second-largest mobile phone manufacturer. The electronics sector has also generated large-scale employment opportunities with solar modules, networking devices, charger adapters, and electronic parts, also playing a key role in strengthening our exports," his post read.
