Local organization continues to raise money for Sioux City Honor Flight

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A local non-profit organization is getting closer to having enough money to take veterans from Sioux City to Washington, D.C.
Midwest Honor Flight said on their Facebook page that they have almost 85% of the funds for the Mission 26 flight raised.
VFW and American Legion looking to recruit new members
The organization said on Monday that $21,571 was raised from the Brunsville Legion Pork Chop Supper Fundraiser on April 5.
Honor flight officials said the funds will go toward the June 3 trip scheduled to leave the Sioux Gateway Airport for the first time since 2010.
The non-profit said they need to raise a total of $200,000 for this honor flight trip.
