Shane Gillis' Longtime Girlfriend Turns Heads At The ESPYs
Stand-up comedian Shane Gillis hosted the 2025 ESPY Awards on Wednesday night, while his girlfriend Grace Brassel turned heads in a stunning dress.
Gillis, a former "Saturday Night Live" member, didn't hold back during his opening monologue. He cracked jokes about Caitlin Clark, Megan Rapinoe, President Donald Trump, Juan Soto and plenty of others. The most ruthless joke was about Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson.
"Shohei is a once-in-a-generation talent. No one has been able to do what he does at so many positions: pitcher, hitter and bookie," Gillis said. "A bookie is what Bill Belichick reads to his girlfriend before bedtime. They do. They read 'The Very Horny Caterpillar,' 'The Little Engine That Could But Needed a Pill First,' and, of course, the classic 'Goodnight Boobs.' First off, he's 73 years old and he's dating a hot 24-year-old and people are criticizing him. What happened to this country?"
Prior to unleashing this monologue, Gillis walked the red carpet with his girlfriend.
Brassel, who graduated from the University of Delaware, was first linked to Gillis in July 2024. They were spotted at Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo's wedding.
Considering they attended the ESPYS together, it's fair to say Brassel and Gillis are still going strong.
On Wednesday night, Brassel wore a leopard-print dress that left plenty of people speechless.
Back in December, Brassel praised Gillis and called him the "best comedian in the whole wide world." Judging by some of the reactions to his ESPYS monologue, there are a lot of people who would agree with that statement.

Bob Odenkirk thinks he was 'too hard' on 'SNL' as young writer: 'This show could be better'
The "Nobody 2" star also tells EW he "would love that opportunity" when asked if there's a chance he'll host the season 51 premiere. Bob Odenkirk has found new respect for Saturday Night Live after leaving the show. While discussing Nobody 2 at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the actor tells Entertainment Weekly that he has gained a better perspective on SNL in the years since he finished his tenure as a writer, which lasted from 1987 to 1991. Although he's previously said that he had a less-than-stellar view of SNL while he worked there, he now realizes that he judged the show too harshly. "I was too hard on the show," he says. "I had a lot of attitude when I got hired there, like, 'This show could be better, this show could be Monty Python, this should be more cutting edge, this should be more dangerous.' And I was frustrated by it not representing purely my point of view. I wanted it to be me, my show." Odenkirk now understands that his desire to personally transform the entire voice of SNL was foolhardy. "It's not my show! It's a show that is shared by everyone who's in that cast, and everyone who's in that writing staff, and it's shared by generations, and not one generation," he says. He continues, "Everybody in America watches it, and it's a reference point for everyone. I think the 50th just made me more aware [than] ever of the amazing work that's been done there." The Better Call Saul star also thinks that he got to write boundary-pushing comedy on a later project. "I think Mr. Show, the show I did with David Cross, I consider my effort to do something edgy and new and try to blast through some barriers and go to another level," he says. Odenkirk also admits that he didn't fully appreciate how SNL's lightning-fast weekly schedule makes its production so difficult. "It's a bigger challenge than I thought it was when I worked there," he explains. "When I worked there I was 25, I was like, 'C'mon, dammit! We can do better! This is easy!' And it literally was the years since I've left that I went, 'Wait a second, that show is almost impossible to do at all.'" Additionally, when asked if he'd consider hosting the show during its upcoming 51st season, Odenkirk responds strongly in the affirmative. "I would love that opportunity," he says. "I have mad respect for the effort of that show, and I would dream of being able to host."Though he's never hosted the show before, Odenkirk says that it remains within the realm of possibility. "There's been conversation about it," he explains. "They don't have me locked out. I'm friends with everybody there, and I know so many of the writers, and I know so many of the actors. Orlovsky bowed his head and prayed - close to a full minute - for the Buffalo Bills defensive back, who suffered cardiac arrest on the field. 'I started to have this feeling in my heart, OK, Dan, God's telling you, go pray for Damar,' he said. Orlovsky said that he spoke to his coworkers, Marcus Spears and Laura Rutledge, before the show. "Marcus looked me dead in the eye and he was like, 'All good, [but] don't do it for TV, though. If you're going to do it, do it because you want to pray for him,'' Orlovsky recalled. Orlovsky added that for the most part, he received a lot of good feedback from fans. He was not disciplined by ESPN for the move, either. 'Did I get an email here and there or a text message here and there from people who said it wasn't for them, not their cup of tea? Of course I did,' Orlovsky continued. Hogan, the iconic wrestling star, died on Thursday. He was 71 years old. The legendary wrestler, perhaps the most important in the history of the sport, had a controversial life. The legendary wrestler was caught on video using the N-word 18 years ago. He ultimately apologized and was allowed back into the WWE. But to many fans, that was the final straw. ESPN posted an Andscape article on its homepage with the headline: "Professional wrestling star's career is no match for his racism." ESPN writer David Dennis Jr. wrote that Hogan's legacy was being a racist. "When you are a racist that is your legacy above all else," Dennis says. "Hulk Hogan died being known a racist who also became famous as a professional wrestler." Dennis Jr. didn't hold back. "Hulk Hogan admitted that he is a racist. He once told his son he was scared Karma would bring them back as Black men. When you are a racist that is your legacy above all else. It's not complicated. This is what I wrote," he wrote. Not everyone agrees, though. Some fans are now "boycotting" the story. "Hey jerkoff, a question for you… When Kobe Bryant died, did you post an article saying he should only be remembered as an adulterer, or for the homophobic slurs he used? Exactly.👍🏼," one fan wrote. "His good and positive impact on culture and society far outweighs the bad," one fan added. "EVERYONE'S legacy is complicated, including yours. What if we were all judged by the single worst thing we had ever done or said? The world would certainly look like a much different place. Be a little more introspective in your life and less judgmental," one fan added. "Posting this while HH's body was still warm tells us everything we need to know about you," one fan added.
