Right now, he is hitting .276 with 55 RBIs and an OPS of .866. Oh, and his 17 home runs this season are suitable for the top 10 in the MLB, tied in eighth place with the New York Mets' Pete Alonso.
Coincidentally, the budding superstar was drafted by the Mets five years ago and was traded to Chicago back in 2021 in a deal that sent Javier Baez to New York.
According to MLB.com's Bren MaGuire, Crow-Armstrong is now expected to be one of the league's first-time All-Stars this season.

"With his 20th steal on June 3, Crow-Armstrong became the fourth-fastest player in the Modern Era (since 1900) to record 15 home runs and 20 stolen bases, reaching the mark in just 60 games," Maguire wrote.

Maguire also noted that as of Friday, June 6, Crow-Armstrong placed third in WAR at 3.8. That sits just behind the Seattle Mariners' Cal Raleigh (4.0) and the New York Yankees' Aaron Judge (5.6).
The Chicago outfielder joins Francisco Lindor and Raleigh on the list among players who are yet to start an All-Star game, while his Cubs' teammate Kyle Tucker was named an honorable mention.
Crow-Armstrong has become a favorite amongst the Chicago fanbase and MLB fans alike, which positions him well as a potential All-Star starter in the National League's outfield.

A pair of Petes forcing their way into NL MVP consideration
Shohei Ohtani, who could be back pitching in July, is the clear NL MVP favorite. But based on current exploits, it might be between a couple of guys named Pete drafted by the Mets: Pete Crow-Armstrong and Pete Alonso. The Alonso signing may not be the best of the winter (that might be Max Fried), but it isn't far behind, even with $33 million in tax added to the $30M salary. Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong (4) celebrates after hitting a home run against the Washington Nationals. Rafael Suanes-Imagn Images He won't be getting $500M, or close. But this is the third year out of four Alonso is outhitting Vlad Guerrero Jr. The Mets had the other Pete, but as Jed Hoyer said on 'The Show,' the New York Post podcast, the Mets didn't want to part with the higher ranked (at the time) Francisco Alvarez, Brett Baty, Ronny Mauricio or Matt Allan, so the Cubs settled for acquiring PCA in a 2021 trade.

Blazing hot Fire offense out for revenge on Nashville SC
Fresh off a dominant offensive performance, the Chicago Fire bid to exact revenge from an early-season shellacking when they host Nashville SC on Saturday night. The Fire (7-5-4, 25 points) benefited from Tom Barlow's first career hat trick to post a 7-1 romp over host D.C. United last Saturday. Making his first start of the season, in place of Belgian striker Hugo Cuypers (lower-body injury), Barlow scored in the 30th, 44th and 65th minutes. The offensive explosion helped Chicago match a club record for goals in a match, set on July 4, 2001, during a 7-0 rout of the then-Kansas City Wizards. The Fire improved to 6-1-1 across all competitions since the start of May after being on the business end of a 7-2 setback at the hands of Nashville SC on April 26. "We went to their place and it wasn't a good result for us, and that's something we want to prepare for, especially at home," Barlow said. "I'm focused on getting back to training, getting back to work." Nashville SC (8-4-5, 29 points) began their eight-match unbeaten streak in MLS play (4-0-4) with the lopsided victory over Chicago. The Music City representatives last competed on May 31, failing to take advantage of Sam Surridge's second brace in three matches and fifth goal in that stretch in a 2-2 draw versus New York City FC. "The rest will be good," Nashville coach B.J. Callaghan said. "... There's a lot of season left, and we're going to use the time in June to really focus on ourselves and improve ourselves. We have things that need to get cleaned up." Surridge 's 11 goals lead Nashville SC and are second in MLS only to Philadelphia Union forward Tai Baribo (13). Surridge's 14 goal contributions are tied with Baribo for second best in the league, trailing only Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi (16). Nashville's Hany Mukhtar has seven goals and six assists. Cuypers leads the Fire with 10 goals on the season. --Field Level Media Field Level Media 2025 - All Rights Reserved

USMNT standout Michael Bradley named Red Bulls II coach
Longtime U.S. midfielder Michael Bradley was named the head coach of MLS NEXT Pro side New York Red Bulls II on Thursday. It is the first head coaching position for Bradley, 37, who worked on his father Bob Bradley's coaching staff with the Norwegian club Stabaek from 2023-24. Bradley will replace Ibrahim Sekagya, who was promoted Wednesday to a spot as an assistant coach for the Red Bulls' first team in MLS. It is a homecoming of sorts for Michael Bradley, who began his professional career in 2004 with the MetroStars, a forerunner of the current New York Red Bulls of MLS. "I couldn't be more excited to come back to where my professional playing career began," Bradley said. "This is a dream opportunity as a young coach. I'm looking forward to working every day with this talented group of players, and I'll give everything to help them take the next step in their careers. "I'm thankful to the club for the opportunity and can't wait to get started." Bradley played with Toronto FC in MLS from 2014-23, recording 16 goals in 258 matches and earning three All-Star nods. He earned 151 caps with the U.S. men's national team from 2006-19, scoring 17 goals and participating in the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups. He was the U.S. Soccer Player of the Year in 2015. Bradley's first match as head coach of Red Bulls II will be on June 21 against Carolina Core FC in High Point, N.C. "We are excited to welcome Michael to the club," said New York Red Bulls sporting director Julian de Guzman. "He had an incredible playing career and is one of the greatest American soccer players ever. "We see him as a promising coaching talent and look forward to supporting his development as he transitions to a career behind the touchline." --Field Level Media Field Level Media 2025 - All Rights Reserved
