Larsa Pippen Blames Relationship With Malik Beasley On COVID Brain, Social Media Calls Her Out
Larsa Pippen is back in the spotlight to discuss a relationship she regrets, and it's not the one with her ex-husband's former teammate's son, better known as Marcus Jordan.
Instead, it's another basketball-related former fling with current Detroit Pistons player Malik Beasley, which she talked about on a recent episode of The Jason Lee Show .
28-year-old Beasley was married at the time, and 50-year-old Pippen admits that she should have listened when Lee told her not to start seeing him during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two were spotted holding hands at a mall, and The Real Housewives of Miami star says things between them were still very fresh at that point, blaming the quickness on COVID brain.
'I just met him that day. That was a mistake, but I had COVID brain,' she said. 'I feel like guys like me, is that weird?'
The isolation of the pandemic got to her, and she insists he initiated it.
'I was stuck in my house, I hadn't gone anywhere, and he was there,' she added. 'He was like, 'Let me come see you, let me come see you.' And I thought, 'Okay, come see me.''
With her being a reality star and him an NBA player, the publicity got a bit messy because Beasley was still legally married to his estranged wife, Montana Yao, with whom he shares two kids. The two later divorced in March 2025, long after Pippen and Beasley's four-month relationship ended in 2021, which sources tell People was because of distance.
Their degrees of separation dwindled again in 2023 when the Utah Jazz traded Beasley to the Lakers, where her son Scottie Pippen Jr. was playing at the time. Larsa, though, says there was no beef between the players.
'They had a conversation when they were on the same team, and it was fine,' Pippen said. 'It wasn't like we had a really bad breakup or anything. But at the same time, who am I supposed to date? The landscaper?'
Since breaking up with Jordan in early 2024, Pippen has moved on to dating former professional basketball player Jeff Coby, and they're reportedly planning to get married in November.

The 47-year-old actor appeared on the June 4 episode of the Well with Arielle Lorre podcast and opened up about the height of his drug and alcohol addiction. Following the success of American Pie early in his career, Biggs said that with fame, he 'learned very quickly' how rare it was for people to say no to him while he was living in Los Angeles, which escalated his substance abuse. 'Being 22 with money in the bank and coke in my pocket and no one saying no to me,' he said. Biggs told Lorre that when he met and married his wife Jenny Mollen, he was using drugs and drinking alcohol much more than she knew. He was 'blocking everything out with drugs and alcohol… and it just got worse and worse.' The Orange Is the New Black actor then recalled one of the lowest points of his addiction. 'I lived in the gray area, but I have 'snorting dust off the floor' stories or similar to that,' he began. 'One of my craziest stories was, I was doing cocaine by myself in my house, and I did what I said was the last line.' In an attempt to stop himself and go back to bed, he threw the drugs into the trash can. 'Within 15 minutes, as soon as my last bump is wearing off, I'm like, what am I doing? I go into my trash, and I take it out and I do a line,' he said. In another attempt to stop, Biggs said he went outside and put the rest of the cocaine into the trash can in front of their house. 'OK, I'm done,' he told himself before going back inside and grabbing an Ambien to help him sleep. 'Before I took the Ambien, I was like, 'One more,'' he said. 'I went outside and I climbed into the trash bin and got the bag of coke and went upstairs and did another line. I was like, 'What the f— am I doing? Biggs said that he constantly struggled with sobriety while living in Los Angeles. 'I would find myself alone and isolating and I would find myself breaking whatever sobriety I had. It was incredibly fragile, obviously, in those early days,' he said. Biggs explained that despite having met some great people in L.A., living there wasn't good for his health, and the environment made his drinking worse. He said moving to New York was life-changing and a 'healthier place' for him to get his life on track. 'There's something about the energy of New York that gives me something, that fills me in a way that Los Angeles couldn't. But I do believe coming to New York helped me. So, I did fall off the wagon here, but that was seven and a half years ago and it's been going well." Biggs has been sober since 2017 and shared his first anniversary of sobriety on Instagram in October 2018. 'I first tried to get sober over 5 years ago, when the weight of my obsession with booze and drugs became too heavy for me to handle,' he wrote alongside a photo of a silver coin that read, 'To thine own self be true' and has the engraved words 'unity, service, recovery.' 'Turns out this s--- is hard,' he said at the time. 'After some fits and starts, I've managed to put together one year of sobriety. I'm as proud of it as anything in my life.' Barber, who is mom to Felicity, 16, and Tate, 19, said her kids also "didn't really care," "They're just normal teenagers. They don't care what their parents do," Barber tells PEOPLE. "They were like, 'It's mom. You yell at us to go clean our room.' Whenever Sweetin's kids saw it, it was because, "It was probably on Nick at Nite or something. I'm sure my mom or dad, when the kids were little, was like, 'Oh, you want to watch mom on the show?' And even at two, they were probably like, 'No.'" When it came time for the cast to reunite for Fuller House, Barber said her kids "loved coming to the live tapings on Friday nights." It gave the costars' kids a chance to connect, with Barber noting how close in age Felicity and Zoie are. "Oh my god, they loved hanging out," Sweetin agrees. "They just wanted to hang out with Michael and Soni and Elias. They didn't come to see what we did." "They were hardly ever in the audience. They were down in the schoolroom. Remember the time we were doing the scene, and I literally heard Zoie yelling in the school room in the back? And I was like, 'That's my kid,' on a tape night," she laughs. During the live show, which also featured an appearance from costars John Stamos and Lori Loughlin, the group opened up about whether they had any regrets with the original series, during which they referenced the end of the series. "I wish we had gotten a proper goodbye," Barber shared. "We didn't know we weren't coming back. We did it out of order," Stamos recalled. "The episodes where Michelle gets amnesia, which was how we ended the show, that was last to air. But we shot those first, and then the last one we shot was the one with Andrew Keegan," Loughlin explained. Stamos agreed, adding, "We didn't know...
