The actress grew up in an educationally inclined household in Jammu and Kashmir, with her mother being a government schoolteacher and her father a businessman dealing in school supplies. She and her younger 14-year-old brother, Rajveer, were raised with the same values. But her interest in cinema pulled her towards showbiz and led her to audition for the Miss India pageant in 2018.
'I did participate in Miss India 2018, but I was way too young at the time. I gave the audition just for fun and got selected for my state. I qualified for the first round, but then I had to join college, and I did not know if I wanted to pursue it or not. I was happy, but I was too young to fully commit,"said Samreen.
Eventually, she took up modeling offers while studying at Symbiosis College in Pune, where she was completing her B.Com (Hons) degree.

Samreen started her career with music videos, and she insists they gave her a unique perspective on her work and prepared her to face the camera as an actor. 'Every time I've shared the screen with anyone, whether it's a singer or a co-actor, it has been a different experience altogether.
It's been a learning experience for me, and I've had an absolute blast on set, be it with Badshah, Jubin Nautiyal, Maninder Bhuttar, Jass Manak, or anyone I've worked with. I've learned a lot from them, including how to do guerrilla shoots as well as slow-paced shoots. So, it's been a great experience,' she says, adding that she has some amazing projects lined up and can't wait for them to be announced for the world to see.
