HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar described the recent Pahalgam incident as the pinnacle of terrorist brutality.
Speaking at the 'Rozgar Mela' event held on Saturday at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute in Hyderabad, he warned that those who wield guns will ultimately perish by them.
Bandi Sanjay emphasised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is fully committed to eradicating terrorism. He asserted that India would soon initiate measures that would 'shake Pakistan to its core,' adding that the Centre is prepared to make stringent decisions in this regard. He called upon the nation to stand united in support of the government's efforts.
The Rozgar Mela event was attended by GST Chief Commissioners Sandeep Prakash, V Sampoorna, and others.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Bandi Sanjay said the 'Rozgar Mela' is one of PM Modi's cherished programmes aimed at fulfilling the promise of creating 1 million jobs.

Vikramarka, who heads a cabinet sub-committee on issues of employees, said a trust would be formed on the issue of health cards of employees. Every employee would contribute Rs 500 per month and the government would contribute an equal amount in a year. The amount would be assigned to the proposed trust which would be headed by the Chief Secretary. It will have the representatives of employees, he said. New Delhi: With bolder decisions, futuristic reforms, and transformative governance, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has in the last 11 years redefined India's development narrative and restored public faith in the system, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, said on Thursday. Singh stated that initiatives like the rollout of GST to the push for Digital India, or the opening up of strategic sectors like space and atomic energy to private players, the past decade has seen the government under PM Modi prioritising long-term national interest and setting new benchmarks in decision-making. 'Each initiative has been driven by the vision of a self-reliant and globally competitive India,' he said, in a media interview. Further, by enabling the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) to foster innovation, particularly in vaccine development, genetic research, and bio-entrepreneurship, the Modi government positioned India as a rising global tech hub. The seamless integration of traditional governance goals with modern technology has been another key feature of the Modi era, the Minister noted. 'Under PM Modi's leadership, sectors like space, atomic energy, and biotechnology received unprecedented push. The global recognition India enjoys today in these fields is a direct result of consistent support and visionary policies,' he said. Citing the example of space tech -- once confined to building rockets – which powers telemedicine, farming, and classrooms, Singh highlighted that 'science is no longer confined to labs'. Space tech is also improving daily life through applications like agricultural weather updates, and online education. Cabinet nod to new bill for welfare of gig workers
1 2 Ranchi: The state cabinet on Wednesday approved The Jharkhand Platform Based Gig Workers (Registration and Welfare) Bill of 2025 for tabling it during the next session of the state assembly. Briefing the media after the meeting, state finance secretary Prashant Kumar said the proposal was moved by labour employment and training department. "The bill is to streamline and work towards welfare of gig workers in the state who are engaged with various online based platforms," he said. After the enhancement of the law, a Jharkhand Platform Based Gig Workers' Board will be formed in the state. "The board will ensure their registration, data keeping and work towards their welfare. A separate welfare fund for gig workers will also be set up," Kumar added. The cabinet approved 11 other proposals during Wednesday's meeting. The cabinet gave it's nod for the creation of teaching and non-teaching staff positions in the newly established government engineering colleges in Bokaro and Godda as per AICTE norms and regulations. "For each college, 85 teaching and 125 non-teaching positions have been created. It will incur an expense of Rs 41.87 crore annually to the state exchequer," Kumar said. The cabinet also approved formation of the Jharkhand Municipal Contractor Registration (Amendment) Rules, 2025, which will make GST registration in state mandatory for entity seeking to take work orders or contracts from the state urban development department. Administrative approval was also given for the transfer, widening, strengthening, and reconstruction of the Pakur-Barharwa main road with an estimated budget of around Rs 40,39 crore. The cabinet also sanctioned transferring of all posts of doctors and medical staff at jails across the state to the health department from home department for better management of resources. It also approved a proposal to reinstate 25 teachers, whose appointed were declared illegal in a in CBI investigation but was later allowed by the Supreme Court and Jharkhand High Court, allowing them to receive their due benefits and pensions.
