Pinnacle of terrorist brutality: Union Minister Bandi
HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar described the recent Pahalgam incident as the pinnacle of terrorist brutality. Speaking at the 'Rozgar Mela' event held on Saturday at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute in Hyderabad, he warned that those who wield guns will ultimately perish by them. Bandi Sanjay emphasised that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is fully committed to eradicating terrorism. He asserted that India would soon initiate measures that would 'shake Pakistan to its core,' adding that the Centre is prepared to make stringent decisions in this regard. He called upon the nation to stand united in support of the government's efforts. The Rozgar Mela event was attended by GST Chief Commissioners Sandeep Prakash, V Sampoorna, and others. Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Bandi Sanjay said the 'Rozgar Mela' is one of PM Modi's cherished programmes aimed at fulfilling the promise of creating 1 million jobs.

He added that it's time for unprecedented opportunities for youngsters while mentioning that the International Monetary Fund has said India will remain the fastest-growing major economy. The PM said in recent times, the production and exports have achieved new milestones, particularly in the automobile and footwear industries, sectors that provide substantial employment to young people. Highlighting the achievement in transportation of cargo through inland waterways, Modi said goods transport through inland water transport has surged to 145 million tonnes (MTs) from 18 MTs before 2014. On women taking the lead in every field, Modi cited the recent UPSC results where the top two positions were secured by female candidates, and three out of the top five toppers were women. 'Women are reaching new heights in fields ranging from bureaucracy to space and science. Our govt is focused on empowering rural women through initiatives like self-help groups, Bima Sakhis, Bank Sakhis, and Krishi Sakhis, which have created new opportunities,' he said. Earlier, personnel minister Jitendra Singh said that nearly 28% of the new recruits (14,796) are women.

'No previous government has regularly filled vacant positions like this—this distinction belongs to Modi. Currently, the Rozgar Mela is taking place at 47 centers across the country, with appointment letters being issued to 51,000 candidates.' Approximately 700 candidates are receiving appointment letters from the MCHRD center, and 'I am pleased to personally hand over letters to 100 of them. Congratulations to all the candidates and their families receiving appointment letters today,' he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Saturday that his government is taking several measures to ensure that the opportunities for employment and self-employment keep growing. Addressing the 15th edition of Rozgar Mela after distributing more than 51,000 appointment letters to recruits in different departments of the central government, he said it is a time for unprecedented opportunities for youngsters. 'Today, new responsibilities of you youth have begun in different departments of the Government of India. Your responsibility is to strengthen the country's economic system; your responsibility is to strengthen the country's internal security; your responsibility is to build modern infrastructure in the country; your responsibility is to bring fundamental changes in the lives of labourers,' PM Modi said. The youth of a nation are the foundation of its progress and success, he said. 'When the youth actively participate in nation-building, the country not only develops rapidly but also establishes its identity on the global stage.' The country's youth are showcasing their 'immense potential' their hard work and innovation, the PM said, as he reiterated measures taken by his government to spur employment through policies geared towards strengthening small enterprises, incentives to firms, provisions in the Budget and a national policy to upskill workers, which are critical for a Viksit Bharat. The event, which took place at multiple locations nationwide, saw the Prime Minister's virtual address to gatherings across the country. He said that a big highlight was that growth has been inclusive and noted that the participation of women has risen in every sector. Our government is focused on empowering rural women through initiatives like Self-Help Groups, Bima Sakhis, Bank Sakhis, and Krishi Sakhis, which have created new opportunities,' he said. Modi asserted that the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), to be held in Mumbai, will also be a big opportunity for youngsters to showcase their skills on a global platform. 'WAVES 2025 places the nation's youth at its core, providing young creators with such a platform for the first time.
