Four killed, 11 injured as mini bus collides with truck in MP's Shivpuri

Four persons were killed and 11 others injured after the mini bus they were travelling in collided with a small truck on a highway in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district on Saturday, police said.
The accident occurred around 5 am on National Highway 46, around 30 km from the district headquarters, when the mini bus carrying a Gujarat-based music troupe was returning from a programme at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Survaya police station house officer (SHO) Arvind Chari told PTI.
He said the bus driver lost control of the wheel, entered the wrong lane and collided with a small truck.
The deceased included Hardik Dave (37), a singer in the music troupe, Raja Thakur (28), Ankit Thakur (17) and Rajendra Solanki (47), all members of the band, the SHO said.
He said the injured persons have been admitted to hospitals.
A preliminary probe suggests that the driver of the mini bus with 17 people onboard might have dozed off at the wheel, Chari said, adding that further investigation is underway.

NIA sleuths, cops arrest Andhra man, woman over 'links to Pak terror outfits'
NIA TIRUPATI: NIA sleuths and Andhra Pradesh police on Saturday arrested a man and a woman for questioning over alleged links to Pakistan-based terror outfits. The man, identified as Kothwal Noor Mohammed of Dharmavaram, is accused of being active in several prohibited terrorism-linked social media groups and making frequent calls and WhatsApp exchanges with suspected operatives across the border, police said. NIA also picked up a 35-year-old woman from Tadipatri, alleged to have been in regular touch with Mohammed. Mumbai model files complaint against Khadse's son-in-law
Pune: The cyber police have registered a fresh case against former state minister Eknath Khadse's son-in-law, Pranjal Khewalkar, on Friday, following a complaint lodged by a 26-year-old Mumbai-based model. In her complaint, the woman alleged that Khewalkar called her to different hotels in the city between 2022 and June this year. During this period, the model alleged that Khewalkar, under the pretext of creating a portfolio for her, photographed and recorded videos of her compromising positions. According to the police, the complainant takes up fashion-related assignments in Pune and Mumbai. A mutual friend introduced her to Khewalkar, the police said. In her first information report (FIR), the woman expressed apprehension that these photographs and videos could be misused by Khewalkar. The police registered a case under sections 77 and 66(E) of the Information Technology Act.
