Who is Addison Rae? How TikTok fame led to one of the year's biggest pop albums
After racking up a following of more than 88million on TikTok, Addison has recently transitioned to music, releasing her debut album, Addison, to critical acclaim earlier this month.
As a result, she's been tapped to open for Lana Del Rey on her upcoming tour and has even announced a headline tour, much to the delight of her quickly growing legion of fans.
Her recent Los Angeles hometown show attracted more than 100,000 fans in the ticketing queue for a venue that holds just 2,300 people, revealing a massive demand for the social media star-turned pop diva.
Previously, she was named the highest-earning creator on TikTok, ahead of Charli, with Forbes estimating that she earned $5million (£3.5m) in 2020.
Addison – full name Addison Rae Easterling – was a competitive dancer from a young age, before she started posting dance videos on TikTok when it first gained popularity in 2020.
Ambitious and driven, she sometimes shared up to eight videos a day as she built a larger and larger following. At time of writing, she has nearly 90million followers on TikTok.
She's also an actor, businessperson, podcaster, and breakout pop superstar.
The Louisiana native briefly attended Louisiana State University, but dropped out when she started blowing up on TikTok, and moved to Los Angeles. @addisonre

Addison is 24 years old.
She was born on October 6, 2000, and was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, by her parents, Monty Lopez and Sheri Easterling.
Rae has two younger brothers, Enzo Lopez and Lucas Lopez, and an older half-sister, Macye Neumeyer.
She's also made friends with the Kardashian clan through her TikTok fame, following in their footsteps as a businesswoman after launching her own beauty brand, and has often opened up about her close bond with Kourtney Kardashian.
Revealing the advice the reality star gave her when it comes to being in the public eye, Addison told Glamour magazine: 'Something that she told me was, 'Make sure you're always enjoying what you're doing because this is the life you're living. Make sure it's something that you're proud of and you're continuing to do the thing you love.''
The pair met through their mutual friend, YouTube star David Dobrik, when he filmed a video with Kourtney, and have stayed close ever since.

The 24-year-old has branched into acting, starring in the 2021 Netflix romantic comedy He's All That, a gender-bending remake of the 1999 teen classic She's All That.
She's also had roles in a handful of other projects, including the 2023 horror movie Thanksgiving.
Addison is also set to appear alongside Ryan Reynolds, Aubrey Plaza, Jason Momoa, and Dan Levy in the upcoming animated action comedy Animal Friends, releasing in October.
Addison told The New York Times of her musical aspirations back in 2020: 'Pretty much from the jump, I was like, 'I don't want to cut demos, I want to write,'' she said.
'So I at least know what I'm doing, or can connect with the things that I'm singing. Especially because I was so new to it.'
Eventually, all that practice led her to release her first single, Obsessed, in 2021 – which was critically panned.
But that didn't stop her from trying again. Addison then released her first EP AR in August 2023, to marginally more success.
But things really started to take off in 2024, when she signed with Columbia Records and collaborated with Charli XCX on the remix of her song Von Dutch.
This bolstered her name recognition, which helped earn her first Billboard Hot 100 hit in 2024 with her single Diet Pepsi, which peaked at 54.
This month, after years of hard work, her studio album, Addison, debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200.
Since its release, the album has been lauded by fans and critics alike. The album includes tracks like New York, Life's No Fun Through Clear Waters, and Summer Forever.
The debut earned an impressive 8.0 from Pitchfork, with the publication writing: 'Rae's debut album, Addison, floats in on a swell of goodwill following a string of improbably great singles, each one a little weirder than the last.'

Addison Rae previously dated fellow TikToker Bryce Hall in a very public relationship that ended in 2020.
She began dating music producer Omer Fedi in 2021, and while she has largely kept the relationship out of the public eye, its believed that the pair are still together.
In a 2025 interview with Rolling Stone, Addison said: 'I'm very guarded when it comes to relationships because my first public relationship taught me a lot about myself,' Rae said, speaking of her ex Bryce Hall. 'That was a s*** show. He was very vocal about everything, and it was a mess.'

Brooks Nader laughs off X-rated wardrobe malfunction in plunging dress during ritzy yacht trip
Brooks Nader poked fun of a recent X-rated wardrobe malfunction she suffered during a ritzy yacht trip. The 28-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model took to her Instagram Stories over the weekend to share footage from the getaway, where she wore a plunging tight white dress. At one point her dress slipped down, exposing her chest. However, Brooks laughed it off putting two star emojis to cover her nipples, and shared the video anyway. The blonde bombshell — who also suffered a wild outfit malfunction in July — completed her sizzling look with a chunky gold Chanel choker and another matching chain. Her golden hair was shielded with a straw cowboy hat, and her eyes covered with sunglasses. Another image showed her with relaxing on the boat with pal Zach Zumbusch, whom she called her 'bestie for life.' Brooks Nader, 28, poked fun of a recent X-rated wardrobe malfunction she suffered during a ritzy yacht trip as she share footage from the getaway to her Instagram over the weekend The star also shared more dressed-up snaps from another night on the yacht. On Saturday, she posted photos of herself in a sizzling blue corset dress from Italian designer Ermanno Scervino. She accessorized the eye-catching look with a cowboy hat featuring a beaded fringe. Brooks added to her height with a pair of strappy blue heels. She was joined by her sisters Grace Ann Nader, Mary Holland Nader and Sarah Jane Nader. It comes after the star suffered yet another wardrobe malfunction while attending the 2025 ESPY Awards in July. Brooks sizzled on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood in a plunging cream silk dress. However, the low-cut design unfortunately ended with her revealing a bit too much. The braless star suffered a mishap as her dress pulled to the side, resulting in a nip slip. The model was pictured fixing the issue as she adjusted the neckline with both her hands. Later she was seen holding her dress in place while walking onto the stage alongside Joey Logano. The incident comes after Brooks also encountered a wardrobe malfunction at Wimbledon, when her menstrual cycle began, causing bleeding that became visible on her white skirt. The mishap resulted in her getting a partnership with a tampon brand. The star also shared more dressed-up snaps from another night on the yacht. On Saturday, she posted photos of herself in a sizzling blue corset dress She accessorized the eye-catching look with a cowboy hat featuring a beaded fringe The star stuck to the themes of summertime and tennis, slipping into a white skirt for the world-famous tournament. But while she was in public, her period started and she bled through the fabric, with stains visible along the back of the skirt. She laughed off the snafu on TikTok, posting a video of herself getting confidently up from a table only for her sisters to start cringing at her. At that point Brooks turned around and the shot ran down the length of her outfit, so that the stains were in clear view on camera. The Baton Rouge-born clotheshorse poked fun at herself the in text over the video as well, writing: 'tries to be chic,' and then: 'Starts [blood emoji] at Wimbledon.' Fans leapt into the comments to praise her for being 'real' and 'NORMALIZING it,' with one writing: 'A canon event for all us girlies.' And it appears the mishap paid off, as afterwards she reveled her collaboration with U by Kotex, a brand known for making menstrual products for women. Brooks also had another wardrobe malfunction in April at the Fashion Los Angeles Awards, where her structured dress drifted forward at one point and exposed her left nipple. Her latest outing comes three months after confirmed she has once again split from Dancing With The Stars pro Gleb Savchenko, 41. Brooks and Gleb started dating while competing as a team on Dancing With The Stars last autumn, triggering allegations they were engaged in a 'showmance.' They briefly broke up late last year but rekindled their romance, until it emerged in early April that Brooks had decided to leave him. Gleb was previously married to Russian artist Elena Samodanova for 14 years until she filed for divorce near the end of 2020. She also suffered a wild wardrobe malfunction when she attended the Fashion Los Angeles Awards in April Meanwhile, Brooks was seen chatting with Tom Brady at Michael Rubin's star-studded Fourth Of July party in 2024, setting off an avalanche of dating rumors. Brooks separated from her husband Billy Haire in May 2024 after four years of marriage. Brooks first rose to fame by winning the Sports Illustrated Swim Search in 2019, and last year she was featured on the cover of the Swimsuit Issue. She and her sisters Mary, Grace and Sara are now all starring together on a reality show called Love Thy Nader, slated to bow on Hulu and Freeform this summer.

Tammy Hembrow sets tongues wagging as she flaunts massive diamond ring on her left hand while wearing her new AFL beau Bailey Smith's jacket
Tammy Hembrow sure knows how to stay in the headlines. The fitness influencer, who is currently dating AFL heartthrob Bailey Smith, has once again sent her fans into a tailspin by showing off a giant diamond ring on her left hand while wearing the sports star's jacket. Tammy wore the rock on her middle finger as she headed out in her Bentley on Monday. She posted a picture of her hand holding a protein shaker containing her supplements while rugged up in Bailey's grey Adidas windbreaker. 'Baileys jacket,' one person wrote in the comments, pointing out that the influencer was wearing the zip-up that Bailey carried on their first date. The jacket has already featured in a TikTok posted by Tammy last week, which appeared to take aim at the intense interest the relationship has attracted since the pair went public. Tammy sat in her car and mimed the words to a popular trending audio clip from the Barbie film while wearing the jacket. 'Don't be f***ing boring. This whole town is so f***ing boring. I don't care,' Tammy mouthed, while shooting bratty looks at the camera. Bailey, 24, who plays for the Geelong Cats in Victoria, has flown to the Gold Coast two weekends in a row to spend time with the 31-year-old. The couple were first seen leaving hand-in-hand after a meal at swanky Asian fusion restaurant Rick Shores at Burleigh Heads before being caught making out at another restaurant. The pair were more recently spotted enjoying a romantic stroll to Nobby's Beach, where the footy player appeared to have his arm wrapped around Tammy's hips. Since Tammy's public appearances with the AFL star, her ex Matt Zukowski has admitted he felt 'hurt' watching his former wife move on so quickly after their break-up. The Love Island star also hinted he was the one to end things between them, despite some speculating it was Tammy who took the lead. The jacket already has featured in a TikTok posted by Tammy last week, which appeared to take aim at the intense interest the relationship has attracted since the pair went public with their blossoming courtship (pictured) Since Tammy's public appearances with the AFL star, her ex Matt has said he felt 'hurt' watching his former wife move on so quickly after their break-up 'A couple of months ago, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life. I decided to leave a relationship that I found was not right for me,' he told his Where's Your Head At? podcast co-host Anna McEvoy on Thursday. 'It was unhealthy for me.' Matt and Tammy got engaged in December 2023 after just three months of dating. They tied the knot almost a year later, in November 2024, but split rumours began to circulate earlier this year. In June, just seven months after tying the knot, the pair announced their divorce.
