Pembrokeshire performer to return home with new comedy show

Emily Davis, a former Ysgol y Preseli pupil, has made a name for herself on the London cabaret and theatre scene with her one-woman musical comedies.
She has performed at the Wales Millennium Centre and top London venues, including The Phoenix Arts Club and The Pheasantry.
This June, she will return to Pembrokeshire for two performances.
First, she will play Sombra in HOS Musical Theatre's summer production of The Arcadians.
Sombra is a gentle spirit from the idyllic land of Arcadia, who ventures into the outside world to spread truth and kindness.
Emily will also perform her new original show, Escape the Rat Race, at Newport Memorial Hall on Friday, June 28.
This musical comedy is about breaking free from city life and finding joy in unexpected places.
Emily said: "I always bring my new work home to Pembrokeshire – it's where I started performing, and where I feel most connected.
"These shows are about real life, really.
"If people leave having laughed, felt something, and maybe sung along, that's a good night."
Tickets for Escape the Rat Race are available now.
Emily will perform at various locations in June, including Broad Haven Hall on June 3, Clarbeston Road Hall on June 5, Fishguard Masonic Hall on June 7, and Torch Theatre on June 10.
Tickets for these performances are available on the door or through the respective venues.

Michael Sheen to star in final run of 'Nye' in Cardiff

The show, which has had sold-out runs in Cardiff and London, will be at the Donald Gordon Theatre from August 22 to August 30, 2025. Tickets are on sale now, starting at £20. The production, written by Tim Price and directed by Rufus Norris, tells the story of Aneurin "Nye" Bevan, the Welsh political pioneer who was MP for Tredegar when he founded the NHS. The play is described as "a vibrant and unexpectedly fun journey through the life of the man who made free healthcare a reality." The show is said to be "full of humour, heart and the undefeatable spirit of a man who believed in his vision for a better way of living." As Bevan faces the end of his life, his memories take centre stage, from his early days as a coal miner's son in Tredegar to the political clashes in Westminster that changed the future of Britain. The audience encounters friends, foes, family and revolutionary speeches, as Nye's past comes alive with warmth and bold theatricality. Sheen, originally from Newport, is joined by a cast of new and returning performers, including Remy Beasley, Matthew Bulgo, Jason Hughes, Kezrena James, Tony Jayawardena, Stephanie Jacob, Rebecca Killick, Rhodri Meilir, and Sharon Small. Emily Atack shares just how much son has grown in rare pic before first birthday

Actress Emily Atack has shared a rare photo with her son Barney as she shows just how much he has grown on their sunny walk ahead of his first birthday this month Emily Atack has enjoyed a day in the sunshine with her son as she treated fans to a rare glimpse into her motherhood. The actress, 35, welcomed her little boy Barney last summer and is gearing up to mark his first birthday. She tends to keep her family out of the spotlight but has given her followers a rare glimpse at her adorable son, who she shares with boyfriend Alistair Garner. Emily proudly carried Barney in a baby carrier on her chest, as her little boy's growing hair could be seen. ‌ The Rivals star flashed a smile at the camera and held onto Barney, who happily enjoyed their stroll while wearing a black and white striped top. A glowing Emily simply added a red heart emoji to her rare post of her son. ‌ Last month, Emily enjoyed a family holiday as they hit the beach together. The proud mum carried her baby son Barney in a sling as she soaked up the stunning view of the beach in Mevagissey, Cornwall. The adorable little boy donned another striped outfit along with a beige cap and sweet black sandals on his feet. Meanwhile, Emily wore a white oversized shirt along with matching shorts and had her hair in a half-up-half-down style. ‌ She also posted a snap of rarely seen Alistair wearing the baby sling with their beloved son inside as they strolled through a hilly street in the picturesque Cornish village. The father-son duo also hit the beach as Alistair held Barney, who looked excited as he faced the sea. As the mum-of-one posted the photos to her Instagram page, she wrote in the caption: "Last minute trip to magical Mevagissey. "Can't quite explain how perfect it was. Barney loves pasties." ‌ Despite keeping her home life out of the public eye, in November Emily opened up about her romance to Alistair, whom she began dating in 2023, but the pair have known each other for years. Talking to The Times, Emily admitted to feeling 'lonely' before finding love with Alistair. She said: "I feel like my whole life had been building up to that moment, not just getting a part in that show, but also my personal life. It feels like the stars have aligned. That is genuinely how it feels." She added: "I used to pray to God that I would end up with somebody who made me feel safe, and I'm safe with Al now." During the interview, Emily said that once Rivals finished filming, she was by Alistair's side and supported him while his father was dying. "We were together at the deathbed and then afterwards we left the room and hugged," she emotionally recalled. "We held each other for about 20 minutes and we just knew. This was love. This was real."

Emily Atack champions Boden summer dress that flatters bigger busts The Inbetweeners and Rivals actress, 32, has professed her love for Boden's Paloma Jersey Maxi Dress, and it's not hard to see why Emily Atack swears by Boden for bigger busts and curves (Image: Instagram @emilyatack ) Navigating summer fashion can be a bit tricky, especially for those with a fuller figure or larger bust – many are familiar with the hunt for items that provide support and don't cling in undesired areas. Luckily, ASOS caters to the fuller bust crowd with a range of bras, bikinis, tops, and dresses designed to flatter. Pour Moi also steps up with a collection filled with dresses and tops ideal for the warmer months. However, it's Emily Atack who has delivered her top pick for summer clothing, praising Boden as her brand of choice. This flattering maxi dress from Boden is perfect for holidays (Image: Instagram @emilyatack ) The Boden maxi dress has not only won Emily's approval but also garnered rave reviews from numerous customers, who have praised its perfect fit, practical pockets, and overall quality. One pleased customer shared: "I'm 5'5" and a size 14 and I bought the 14R. "I absolutely love this dress, the print is joyous and the style is very flattering." A shopper expressed her delight with the dress, stating: "Unlike some Boden dresses it's not too low at the front and joy of joys the arm hole is not too big and gives decent coverage for those of us with bits we'd like to disguise. "The regular length is just above my ankles. Would love this in a leopard print!". Another admirer added: "Love this dress! I'm 5'3" and bought 14 petite: it's a perfect fit. The Paloma Maxi is available to shop in four different colours (Image: Boden ) "The length is just above my ankles and the cut is perfect. Great to have pockets. Feels so comfortable yet stylish. "Bought for the South of France and can't wait to wear it! Do not hesitate in purchasing this dress. Highly recommend!" However, one customer had a slight issue, noting: "This is a really pretty, simple dress. It fit true to size. I'm 5'6", 130lbs. I liked the length and the material. "The waist is a bit high, but I find that with most Boden dresses". For those who admire Emily's fashion sense, we've also tracked down her favourite handbag. The exact model is the Deliberate Woven Shoulder Bag in Chocolate, retailing at £129.
