Lanzante's new 95-59 supercar pays tribute to Le Mans glory
British automotive engineering firm Lanzante has confirmed its new limited-run supercar will be called the 95-59.
The name is a nod to the Lanzante-run McLaren F1 GTR that famously won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995, while the 59 refers to the number of units planned for production — making this a decidedly rare machine.
Details remain scarce, but Lanzante has revealed that the 95-59 will feature a three-seat layout with the driver positioned centrally, echoing the iconic McLaren F1.
It will also offer space for luggage and a generous cruising range, pointing to a focus on real-world usability and versatility beyond just raw track performance.
The Lanzante 95-59 will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 10.

Land Rover is paying tribute to the iconic Camel Trophy cars of decades past with the launch of the new Defender 110 Trophy Edition. Though the British marque has stubbed out all reference to RJ Reynolds' greatest export, it's reigniting nostalgia through the use of Deep Sandglow Yellow paint: a modern day take of the distinctive hue that coloured all the vehicles that took part in the competition from 1980 until its eventual demise in 2000. Ditto the exposed cross car beam that wears laser‑etched endcaps with Trophy branding. Though they would probably be quite approving of the range of optional accessories that include an expedition roof rack, roof ladder, front/rear mud flaps, raised air intake for better dust filtration and side-mounted gear carrier providing space for muddy, wet or sandy items. Or, just maybe, a cheeky carton of ciggies to complement those pensive stares across the windswept badlands they've just tackled. Cue the Ennio Morricone... The new Land Rover Defender 110 Trophy Edition is now available to order in the UK and priced from £89,810 (R2,174,777). Local availability is yet to be confirmed.

Dubbed Project: Endurance, the initiative is a collaboration between McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing, centred around customer ownership of a genuine Le Mans Hypercar and direct involvement in the development of the brand's 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship challenger. The Hypercar itself will be built in partnership with Dallara, which has been critical in McLaren's IndyCar efforts. Behind the cockpit will be a rear-wheel-drive V6 twin-turbo hybrid powertrain, closely related to the one McLaren will field in the WEC's Hypercar class. McLaren says it promises to deliver authentic race-bred performance and the kind of driving experience typically reserved for professional endurance racers. A key selling point for what will realistically be a multi-million rand purchase will be integration into McLaren's factory development programme. The English automaker says that this includes testing phases and strategic briefings; they will shadow the creation of the 2027 WEC car alongside McLaren Racing's engineers, drivers, and management. The experience includes trackside immersion at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2027, where McLaren will chase its next Triple Crown, and aim to win all three jewels in a single season once more.
