Netflix has officially announced that filming is underway for Season 2 of The Gentlemen, the crime drama series created by filmmaker Guy Ritchie. Following the critical success of Season 1, which premiered in 2024 and was praised as one of Ritchie's finest works, the new season promises to expand the story's scope and tension.
Guy Ritchie returns as creator, writer (alongside Matthew Read), and director, working with co-director Eran Creevy. Season 2 will continue the story of Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass, portrayed by Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, respectively. The returning cast includes Daniel Ings, Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, and more.
Set one year after Eddie and Susie allied with Bobby Glass's international criminal network, the new season sees the duo trying to grow their empire amid Bobby's increasingly unstable leadership. This forces them into a difficult position—either take bold action or risk losing everything they've built.
In a Netflix press release, Ritchie shared that the second season would 'deliberately expand both geographically and thematically,' moving between the English countryside and the Italian lakes. 'The stakes are heightened, the power dynamics are more precarious, and I'm thrilled to be collaborating once again with this exceptional cast and crew,' he added.
Alongside the returning ensemble, the new season brings in high-profile talent including Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, and Giancarlo Esposito, among others.
The Gentlemen Season 2 is currently in production in the UK and will stream exclusively on Netflix. Fans can expect the same blend of dark humor, high-stakes crime drama, and Ritchie's signature stylized storytelling. Further updates are expected as filming progresses.
