Book Lovers' Book Sale returning this April

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The annual Friends Of The Sioux City Public Library Book Lovers' Book Sale will be returning to the Southern Hills Mall this April.
This year's book sale will be located inside of the old Chuck E. Cheese location near Barnes & Noble at the Southern Hill Mall. The sale will only be accessible from the outside door.
Izaak Walton League provides aid to flood victims
This year's book sale will run from April 24 through May 3.
On opening night, the sale will be open from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and a $5 donation will be taken for access to the sale.

Friday, April 25 – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, April 26 – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, April 27 – 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, April 28 – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, April 29 – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, April 30 – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday, May 1 – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, May 2 – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, May 3 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or when all books are gone.

Sioux City Art Center to host opening reception for new art exhibition
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Art Center will host an opening reception for a new art exhibition. The display comes from Iowa-born, Rhode Island-based artist Duane Slick. It is titled 'A Certain Cadence of Night,' and includes new and recent paintings, silkscreen prints, and a video installation produced in collaboration with Martin Smick. Puzzles, games, D&D: Sioux City Public Library hosting youth, adult reading programs Slick has served as the Professor of Painting and Printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design since 1995. He earned his BFA in Painting from the University of Northern Iowa and his MFA in Painting from the University of California, Davis. The opening reception is set for 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. At 6 p.m., the artist will give a talk in the Art Center's Lecture Hall. The event is free to attend and open to the public. The exhibition will remain on display during the Art Center's normal business hours through Sunday, October 12. Food Truck Fridays returns for its 10th year
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The summer-long Food Truck Fridays started June 6. Here's what you need to know! June 6 marked the 10th year of Sioux City's Food Truck Fridays. The initiative was started by a group of volunteers back in 2015. Now, it has flourished into a summertime tradition. Summer's starting, it's a great way to see people like in the community you don't always get to see, and it's just a great way to try different foods and support local businesses,' she said. Native American dance group coming to Lewis and Clark center for free show
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A traditional Native American dance group is coming to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center this month. The Many Moccasins Dance Troupe will be performing at the Spirit of Discovery Stage at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18. The event is free. The center said the performance is family-friendly and free for visitors. If you'd like to sit during the event, you're encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket.
