The PGA Tour wraps up its swing through Texas this week, returning to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge. Set at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, with a $9.5 million purse on the line.
The winner of the Charles Schwab Challenge will walk away with $1.71 million, the tournament's iconic Tartan jacket, and one seriously cool bonus: a vintage ride known as the 'Schwab Defender,' a 1992 classic that's a treat for car lovers.

Now, all eyes this week are on Scottie Scheffler. Fresh off his third major victory at the PGA Championship and a dominant win at the CJ Cup, Byron Nelson, just a couple of weeks ago, Scheffler is chasing a rare third-straight victory.
One player who got off to a red-hot start was John Pak, carding a 7-under 63 on Thursday to take the early lead. If he can hold onto that form, he could be a surprise name atop the leaderboard come Sunday.
While the champion gets the biggest check, here's what's at stake all the way down the board: Second place earns $1.035 million, third gets $655,500, and payouts continue all the way through 70th place, which nets $19,475.

Matteo Manassero and Ryan Fox share the 3rd-round lead in the RBC Canadian Open

CALEDON, Ontario — Matteo Manassero and Ryan Fox each shot 6-under 64 on Saturday to share the third-round lead in the RBC Canadian Open, the final event before the U.S. Open next week at Oakmont. Manassero rebounded from a three-putt bogey on the par-4 17th with a birdie on the par-5 18th — hitting an 80-yard third shot to 2 feet — to get to 14-under 196 on the North Course at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. 'I missed the short one on 17, and I did miss a couple more short ones today,' Manassero said. 'I try to think of them just like a shot really, like a driver, like a 6-iron, whatever. It's just a shot. So I don't want it to get in my head, and I don't want that to ruin anything or my attitude going towards the next shots.' Trying to win for the first time on the PGA Tour, the 32-year-old Italian player has eight international victories. 'I try to get a good attitude, a good thought process, talk well to myself. Very basic things,' Manassero said. 'I've matured a lot and I have a better perspective towards, for example, a day like tomorrow." Fox also birdied the 18th. The 38-year-old player from New Zealand won the Myrtle Beach Classic last month in a playoff for his first PGA Tour title. 'To be honest, everything went pretty right,' Fox said. 'I drove it great. I think if you do that round here, you give yourself lots of chances. Had a lot of good wedge shots, holed a few putts early. Just played really solid kind of stress-free golf for the most part.' Lee Hodges, Kevin Yu and Matt McCarty were a stroke back. Hodges and Yu shot 63, and McCarty had a 64. Canadian Mackenzie Hughes was 12 under with Jake Knapp and Andrew Putnam . 'I've been putting the ball in play quite a bit, driving it pretty nice,' Hughes said. 'I feel like that's taken some pressure off the putter and the short game. It's a big key around here. You start driving it well, you can attack and be aggressive.' Canadian Nick Taylor, the 2023 winner at Oakville, eagled the 18th for a 69 to get to 10 under. Countrymen Adam Hadwin and Taylor Pendrith also were 10 under. Masters champion Rory McIlroy missed the cut Friday, following an opening 71 with a 78. golf: /hub/golf

'Most dadcore thing' – NBA Fans was in awe as NFL veteran Tom Brady leaves out LeBron James from Mount Rushmore of GOATs list

Tom Brady and LeBron James. Photo via Imagn Images NFL legend draws the attention of NBA fans as he names some of the greatest athletes of all time, but surprisingly leaves out one major name from the world of basketball. Former American football quarterback and current sports broadcaster for the NFL, Tom Brady, in his recent interview, listed out the names of the athletes who are on his Mount Rushmore of GOAT s. While players like Kobe Bryant and Caitlin Clark made it to the list, the absence of LeBron James from the list is what drew the attention of the fans. Tom Brady announces Michael Jordan on the top of the list, supports other woman NBA players like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and A'ja Wilson Tom Brady and LeBron James developed their friendship over the years as both athletes concentrated on establishing their careers in their respective sports. Even though they cannot be termed as the closest of friends, the players share a warm relationship through their posts on social media. Often, both of them are seen congratulating each other on any major achievements secured by either one of them. While fans have witnessed the sportsmanship from both sides, Brady's recent revelation of his Mount Rushmore of GOATs has generated significant reaction from the fans of the NBA veteran. More so with the inclusion of newcomers like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, fans seem to be quite dissatisfied with the NFL veteran list. In a recent interview, when asked about the list of GOATs, Brady instantly replied, 'Michael Jordan, he was my childhood idol. Obviously, I loved Kobe Bryant. Still love Kobe Bryant. Tiger — his competitiveness. What Rory McIlroy has done; I love that.' The veteran went on to name athletes from other sports as well, 'Shohei Ohtani, what he has done, has been unbelievable. Barry Bonds — he went to my high school. I was the biggest fan of his growing up. Michael Phelps, I love him. Michael Johnson. A'ja Wilson from my Las Vegas Aces. I love her. She's amazing. Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, this little thing that they got going. I love that.' It is quite clear from his answer that Brady has placed Michael Jordan as the GOAT over LeBron James, which has been the centre of the GOAT debate within the NBA for a very long time now. LeBron fans have spoken up on the list with one of the users writing, 'tom brady putting caitlin and angel on his mount rushmore but not lebron is the most dadcore thing i've ever seen' Another one wrote, 'Lol pathetic' 'tom brady just picked jordan over lebron and put caitlin clark on his mount rushmore… y'all still calling him a system qb?' McIlroy tumbles out of Canadian Open with a 78. Champ takes 2-shot lead into the weekend

CALEDON, Ontario — Masters champion Rory McIlroy tumbled out of the RBC Canadian Open on Friday with his worst round in nearly a year, with Cameron Champ taking a two-stroke lead into the weekend in the final event before the U.S. Open. McIlroy shot an 8-under 78, making a mess of the fifth hole with a quadruple-bogey 8 in his highest score since also shooting 78 last year in the first round of the British Open. He had a double bogey on No. 11, four bogeys and two birdies. 'Of course it concerns me,' McIlroy said. 'You don't want to shoot high scores like the one I did today. Still, I felt like I came here obviously with a new driver thinking that that sort of was going to be good and solve some of the problems off the tee, but it didn't.' At 9 over, the two-time Canadian Open winner was 21 strokes behind Champ on the rain-softened North Course at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. 'Obviously, going to Oakmont next week, what you need to do more than anything else there is hit fairways," McIlroy said. "Still sort of searching for the sort of missing piece off the tee.' Champ had four birdies in a 68 in the morning a day after opening with a 62. He was at 12 under, playing the first 36 holes without a bogey. 'It's firmed up a little bit, but fairly similar to yesterday,' Champ said. 'The fairways I feel like were firming up a little bit. The greens slightly, but pretty close to how they were yesterday.' The three-time PGA Tour winner got one of the last spots in the field after being the eighth alternate Friday when the commitments closed. 'I definitely didn't think I was getting in,' Champ said. Andrew Putnam was second after a bogey-free 62 on the course hosting the event for the first time. He won the 2018 Barracuda Championship for his lone tour title. 'I hit a lot of fairways, hit a lot of good iron shots, too, and my putter was on fire,' Putnam said. 'Pretty much did everything right. Didn't really make many mistakes.' Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark, tied for the first-round lead with Cristobal Del Solar after a 61, had a 70 drop into a tie for third at 9 under with Canadians Richard Lee and Nick Taylor and France's Victor Perez . Taylor won the 2023 event at Oakdale. 'Hung in there,' Taylor said. 'Making a birdie on the last was important to end the day nicely.' Del Solar was 8 under after a 71. Shane Lowry also was 8 under with Ryan Fox , Jake Knapp , Sam Burns and Matteo Manassero . golf: /hub/golf
