NFL legend
draws the attention of
NBA fans
as he names some of the greatest athletes of all time, but surprisingly leaves out one major name from the world of basketball. Former American football quarterback and current sports broadcaster for the NFL,
Tom Brady,
in his recent interview, listed out the names of the athletes who are on his
Mount Rushmore of GOAT
s. While players like Kobe Bryant and Caitlin Clark made it to the list, the absence of
LeBron James
from the list is what drew the attention of the fans.
Tom Brady announces Michael Jordan on the top of the list, supports other woman NBA players like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and A'ja Wilson
Tom Brady and LeBron James developed their friendship over the years as both athletes concentrated on establishing their careers in their respective sports. Even though they cannot be termed as the closest of friends, the players share a warm relationship through their posts on social media. Often, both of them are seen congratulating each other on any major achievements secured by either one of them.
While fans have witnessed the sportsmanship from both sides, Brady's recent revelation of his Mount Rushmore of GOATs has generated significant reaction from the fans of the NBA veteran.
More so with the inclusion of newcomers like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, fans seem to be quite dissatisfied with the NFL veteran list.
In a recent interview, when asked about the list of GOATs, Brady instantly replied, 'Michael Jordan, he was my childhood idol. Obviously, I loved Kobe Bryant. Still love Kobe Bryant. Tiger — his competitiveness. What Rory McIlroy has done; I love that.' The veteran went on to name athletes from other sports as well, 'Shohei Ohtani, what he has done, has been unbelievable.
Barry Bonds — he went to my high school. I was the biggest fan of his growing up.
Michael Phelps, I love him. Michael Johnson. A'ja Wilson from my Las Vegas Aces. I love her. She's amazing. Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, this little thing that they got going. I love that.'
It is quite clear from his answer that Brady has placed Michael Jordan as the GOAT over LeBron James, which has been the centre of the GOAT debate within the NBA for a very long time now.
LeBron fans have spoken up on the list with one of the users writing, 'tom brady putting caitlin and angel on his mount rushmore but not lebron is the most dadcore thing i've ever seen'
Another one wrote, 'Lol pathetic'
'tom brady just picked jordan over lebron and put caitlin clark on his mount rushmore… y'all still calling him a system qb?'

Who is Coco Gauff, the 21-year-old American tennis star, who has defeated the world No. 1

Credit: X/@rolandgarros Coco Gauff pulled off a sensational comeback to defeat world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the French Open final on Saturday, securing her second Grand Slam singles title. With this win, the 21-year-old American tennis star has once again proven she's not just a rising talent — she's a force to be reckoned with. But beyond the court, Gauff's life is a mix of ambition, balance, and growing influence. — Phil_Lewis_ (@Phil_Lewis_) The making of a star Gauff burst into the global spotlight in 2019 at just 15 years old when she defeated her idol Venus Williams in the first round at Wimbledon. That victory sparked a meteoric rise. Her first Grand Slam win came at the 2023 U.S. Open, and her second — the French Open triumph this weekend — solidifies her place among the sport's elite. Raised in Delray Beach, Florida, Coco comes from an athletic family: her father played college basketball, and her mother was a track and field star. That discipline shaped her into a focused competitor with a maturity well beyond her years. Brains and Balance Even while building a professional tennis career, Gauff has kept education in focus. She completed high school in 2022 through online classes and has continued her learning journey through college-level courses remotely. Her parents have emphasized that education remains a cornerstone, and Coco has echoed that belief in interviews, often saying she wants to be more than just a tennis player. Forbes lists the upper figure, while most financial outlets place it closer to $10–$12 million. Her earnings are driven largely by more than $15 million in career prize money, including payouts from the 2023 U.S. Open and 2025 French Open wins, as well as a portfolio of lucrative endorsements. Gauff's brand partnerships are a who's who of global names: New Balance (where she has her own apparel line and an upcoming signature shoe), Barilla, Rolex, Head, Bose, and UPS. Her collaboration with New Balance is especially significant, positioning her not just as an athlete but as a marketable icon in fashion and lifestyle. Source: X/@_MissLeandra Love life and lifestyle While Gauff keeps her private life largely out of the spotlight, in a 2024 interview with the People she confirmed being in a relationship with someone who comes from a non-tennis background. Despite her rising fame, Gauff remains grounded. She travels with her family when possible, enjoys watching anime, and is known to unplug from social media when the pressure of competition builds. At 21, Coco Gauff has already accomplished more than most athletes twice her age. With two Grand Slam titles under her belt and a steady climb in the WTA rankings, she's poised for a dominant run. But it's not just her skill that sets her apart — it's her poise, her perspective, and her ability to inspire.

Doris Burke's future at ESPN uncertain despite making history in 2024 NBA Finals broadcast

(Image Source - Getty Images) Attention NBA fans—hold onto your remotes because ESPN might be shaking things up in its top broadcast booth after just two seasons with Doris Burke, Mike Breen, and Richard Jefferson. Burke, who broke ground as the first woman to be a TV analyst for the 2024 NBA Finals, is now facing some uncertainty. The Athletic reports that her role for the 2025–26 season isn't set in stone, even though Breen has a long-term contract and Jefferson is expected to re-sign. With notable support and some critiques on-air, the drama is not only on the court but also in the booth. Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle and analyst Richard Jefferson rally behind Burke amid ESPN shake-up chatter ESPN is taking a close look at its NBA broadcast team, which has put Doris Burke's future in the spotlight. As reported by Andrew Marchand from The Athletic, Mike Breen is confirmed to return and Richard Jefferson is probably staying on, but Burke's position in the main booth is "not guaranteed for next season." It seems ESPN is considering if a two-person booth could be more effective, but no analysts are safe from being replaced. — TheDunkCentral (@TheDunkCentral) Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle showed his strong support just before Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals. He referred to the leak as "sad" and praised Burke for "revolutionizing the game for women in broadcasting," underlining her courage and expertise. His statements turned the media speculation into a wider dialogue about representation and respect. In the meantime, Richard Jefferson took a daring step into the spotlight. He showed up on the SEC Network pregame show ahead of the Women's College World Series sporting a shirt that said, "My Favorite Broadcaster is Doris Burke." Later, he proudly displayed it again from the stands while sitting next to Burke. It was a powerful gesture of support. Not everything's been perfect for the trio. Burke caused a stir during the Western Conference Finals, getting flak for comparing the series to world wars and calling Shai Gilgeous‑Alexander a "free‑throw merchant." Critics and fans alike noted that the booth seemed to lack chemistry, which could sway ESPN's decisions. Burke has an outstanding background. Since 1991, she has been with ESPN, climbing the ranks through college hoops, the WNBA, and sideline coverage. In 2023, she became part of the lead NBA commentary team, and in 2024, she made history by calling the NBA Finals on television. That legacy is significant. Also Read: Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green's honest take on owner Joe Lacob's Durant comments and Luka Doncic's unexpected trade news ESPN has a tough decision ahead: should they keep trailblazer Doris Burke or move towards a more compact booth? On one hand, she's a symbol and a supporter of female representation in sports media. On the other hand, the importance of chemistry and consistent commentary shouldn't be overlooked. With Breen secured and Jefferson likely coming back, Burke's future relies on whether ESPN values diversity and star power more than format efficiency. Either way, ESPN's next step will speak volumes about its priorities—and whether it wants to take the lead in the conversation rather than just follow along.
