Fantasy Bundesliga tips: 10 players to consider for Matchday 24
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala.
Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 20%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 24.
Tom Rothe, Union Berlin (Defender, 7M, 2%)
Tom Rothe is a nailed-on starter at left-back at the moment, as Robert Skov is sidelined. With two goals and three assists to his name in the league so far this season, the attack-minded full-back could have a productive game against a defensively weak Kiel side. Union are coming off a humiliating 6-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, but Sunday's home game against Holstein Kiel will be a different sort of game, with the capital side looking to bounce back and pick up three vital points in the relegation race.
Denis Vavro, Wolfsburg (Defender, 8M, 2%)
A combative centre-back who can also score the occasional goal, Vavro currently offers good value for money. Wolfsburg are in the midst of a favorable run of fixtures and travel to struggling Werder this weekend.
Leo Østigård, Hoffenheim (Defender, 9M, 5%)
Østigård has scored an average of 255 points in the two games he has played for Hoffenheim so far. The Kraichgauer are inconsistent, but they have a nice run of fixtures - and even if the result doesn't go their way, the strong centre-back can still do very well, as he proved in the 4-0 defeat to Union Berlin, when he scored 302 points.
Julian Ryerson, Borussia Dortmund (Defender, 12M, 1%)
Since Niko Kovac took over as coach, the Norwegian full-back has started to take some set-pieces, increasing his Fantasy value. BVB will take confidence from their 6-0 win over Union Berlin, in which Ryerson scored 290 points, as they prepare to travel to Hamburg to take on struggling St. Pauli.
Tom Krauß, Bochum (Midfielder, 6M, 0%)
Krauß has become an instant hit at Bochum since joining on loan in the winter transfer window, and his importance is reflected in his Fantasy numbers. Costing just 6 million, the central midfielder has scored over 200 points in each of his last two games heading into this week's crucial home clash with Hoffenheim.
Patrick Wimmer, Wolfsburg (Midfielder, 10M, 1%)
Wimmer has been a key attacking player for Wolfsburg in recent weeks, and despite being taken off after around an hour in last week's 1-1 draw with Bochum, he still managed to score 226 points. After an impressive performance in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday, he now faces an out-of-form Werder.
Pascal Groß, Borussia Dortmund (Midfielder, 11M, 2%)
Groß was mentioned in last week's edition of this article, and it's safe to say he didn't disappoint, setting up four goals and scoring a whopping 515 points. While you can't expect him to do anything similar this week, there's no question that he's once again become a key player under Niko Kovac, and one who can be relied upon to produce on a regular basis because of his involvement on the ball.
Benedikt Hollerbach, Union Berlin (Striker, 8M, 11%)
In what has been a disappointing season for Union Berlin, Hollerbach has arguably been their most consistent attacking player. The 23-year-old has six goals and three assists in the league so far this season and will look to add to that tally against a Kiel side that rarely keep a clean sheet.
Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim (Striker, 10M, 4%)
Hoffenheim's attacking talisman is capable of producing both assists and goals. With Hoffenheim heading into a nice run of games, now seems like a good time to pick him up.
Serhou Guirassy, Borussia Dortmund (Striker, 19M, 14%)
An obvious inclusion considering he scored four goals last week, but the Guinea international certainly deserves a mention after that performance. Kovac's style of play seems to suit Guirassy, and he should be full of confidence for the trip to St. Pauli.

Leeds United ‘Close' to Signing 26-year-old Former Man City Forward
Leeds United Close in on Lukas Nmecha Deal as Premier League Preparations Intensify Fresh off their triumphant return to the Premier League, Leeds United appear to be moving shrewdly in the transfer market. The club is reportedly close to securing the free signing of Lukas Nmecha from Wolfsburg, a move that could prove both pragmatic and potentially inspired. With Daniel Farke looking to strengthen multiple areas of the squad ahead of a demanding top-flight campaign, Nmecha's arrival could tick several boxes for the newly promoted side. Smart Business in a Critical Summer Leeds United are not wasting time. With Patrick Bamford's future at Elland Road uncertain and speculation mounting over a possible exit, including interest from Wrexham, the Whites are in the market for fresh firepower. Regardless of Bamford's situation, Leeds have been proactive in identifying Nmecha as a viable option to bolster their attack. Advertisement 'Lukas Nmecha is close to joining Leeds United on a free transfer from Wolfsburg. 26-year-old ex-Manchester City attacker will be out of contract from 1 July,' reported journalist Ben Jacobs via X. Landing the German international on a free transfer would be a savvy piece of business. Not only does it offer a cost-effective solution, but it also leaves funds available to address other pressing needs in the squad, such as defensive reinforcements. Nmecha's Career in Need of Reboot Once considered a rising talent in Manchester City's youth ranks, Nmecha made only three senior appearances before moving on in search of more regular football. His £11 million move to Wolfsburg in 2021 was meant to signal a new chapter, but inconsistency and injury setbacks limited his impact. With 19 goals in 85 appearances, the numbers are not eye-catching, but the potential is still there. Advertisement At 26, Nmecha finds himself at a crossroads. A return to English football, especially under a manager like Farke who values tactical structure and attacking discipline, could help the striker rediscover the form that once made him a Premier League prospect. For Leeds United, the upside is significant, particularly given the low financial risk involved. Eyes on Reinforcements Beyond Attack While the Nmecha deal garners headlines, Leeds are working on multiple fronts. Defensive solidity will be paramount in the Premier League, and Daniel Farke seems fully aware. According to TEAMtalk's Rudy Galetti, talks are ongoing with Udinese regarding centre-back Jaka Bijol, with personal terms reportedly close to being finalised. The 26-year-old Slovenian, who boasts 63 international caps, is seen as a key target. Udinese are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of €20 million (£17 million), which could represent Leeds' biggest outlay of the window if completed. Calculated Risk or Masterstroke? If Leeds United do manage to secure Lukas Nmecha on a free, they'll be acquiring a player who has experience in both the Bundesliga and international football. He may not arrive with fanfare, but his physical profile, tactical adaptability, and Premier League pedigree, however limited, offer reasons for optimism. For a club looking to consolidate after promotion rather than merely survive, these are the sort of calculated risks that can pay off in the long run. Leeds may just be crafting a squad with the resilience and versatility needed to thrive back in the top tier.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen's father convicted of 1 count of minor assault, acquitted of other abuse charges
Associated Press SANDNES, Norway (AP) — Gjert Ingebrigtsen, the father of Norwegian track star Jakob Ingebrigtsen, was convicted Monday of one count of assault against his daughter and given a suspended prison sentence. A court acquitted Gjert of other charges including abusing Jakob, a multiple Olympic and world middle-distance champion. In a trial that started in March and has gripped Norway, Gjert, 59, was accused of an alleged years-long campaign of domestic abuse toward Jakob and younger sister, Ingrid. Gjert denied the charges against him. A verdict in the case was delivered in writing by Soer Rogaland District Court and Gjert was convicted of a single incident of minor assault against his daughter, his legal team confirmed to The Associated Press. He was handed a 15-day suspended sentence and ordered to pay NOK 10,000 ($1,010) in compensation. John Christian Elden and Heidi Reisvang, defense attorneys from Elden Law Firm, said it was the court's conclusion that there 'was no evidence to show that Gjert Ingebrigtsen created a continuous fear in his children.' 'There are no winners in this case,' Reisvang, who was assisting counsel during the trial, told the AP. 'He (Gjert) hopes that one day he will have contact and a relationship with his family again.' Gjert became a prominent media figure in Norway in 2016 following his involvement in the TV documentary series Team Ingebrigtsen, in which he was seen coaching his three track-and-field sons, Jakob, Filip and Henrik. The series ran until 2021. By 2022 the trio had parted ways with their coach-father and the following year co-signed a column in the national newspaper, VG, accusing Gjert of physical violence and intimidation. The police opened an investigation, with court proceedings eventually brought relating to Gjert's treatment of Jakob and Ingrid. Gjert continued coaching after the split with his sons and now guides Jakob's 1500-meter Norwegian rival, Narve Gilje Nordas. The 24-year-old Jakob won Olympic gold in the 1,500 meters at the Tokyo Games in 2021 and the 5,000 at the Paris Games in 2024. He was world champion at the 5,000 in 2022 and '23. He listed his achievements on the track in a post on Instagram — published soon after the verdict in the trial was announced — in which he said the goal he most cares about is that his daughter, Filippa, 'will love and respect me for her upbringing.' ___ AP sports: recommended in this topic

Borussia Dortmund vs. Fluminese
One of the Bundesliga's two 2025 FIFA Club World Cup representatives gets set to start their tournament on Tuesday. Niko Kovac's Borussia Dortmund will square off against two-time Brazilian champions Fluminense FC. Unsurprisingly enough, the two teams have never met before. Like league rivals Bayern Munich, Dortmund took advantage of a special FIFA-sanctioned transfer window in order to acquire players in time for the tournament. In BVB's case defender Soumaïla Coulibaly was recalled early from his loan stint with Stade Brest. Advertisement The much bigger news, however, revolves around the fact that Jobe Bellingham – acquired from Sunderland AFC – declined to represent the England U21s in the current UEFA U21 European Championship in favor of participating in this tournament. Kicker reports that Bellingham is an immediate candidate for Kovac's starting XI. Predicting Kovac's starting lineup can prove difficult in that Dortmund, like Bayern, have brought along plenty of young prospects to test out. Veteran midfielders Emré Can and Salih Özcan are missing due to injury. Dortmund may nevertheless follow Bayern's lead and deploy their best players in their opening fixture. Bayern ended up demolishing Auckland City 10-0 in a totally uncompetitive affair. Bayern's full Club World Cup squad can be found here. Advertisement The Full BVB squad: Goalkeepers: Gregor Kobel, Silas Ostrzinski, Alexander Meyer Defenders: Yan Couto, Waldemar Anton, Ramy Bensebaini, Daniel Svensson, Niklas Süle, Julian Ryerson, Filippo Mane, Soumaila Coulibaly, Elias Benkara Midfielders: Giovanni Reyna, Felix Nmecha, Julian Brandt, Pascal Gross, Julien Duranville, Carney Chukwuemeka, Marcel Sabitzer, Mathis Albert, Ayman Azhil, Jobe Bellingham Strikers: Serhou Guirassy, Maximilian Beier, Karim Adeyemi, Cole Campbell, Samuele Inacio, Jamie Gittens.
