Tata Vs Tata Harrier Diesel: Powertrain The Tata is available with two battery pack options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs. The bigger battery pack gives 627 km of claimed range. Also, it gets an AWD setup. Whereas, the Tata Harrier gets a 2.0-liter Kryotec turbo diesel engine that can propel a peak power and torque output of 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The Tata Harrier ICE has an RWD setup. Tata Vs Tata Harrier Diesel: Design Changes The Tata borrows most of its design cues from its diesel sibling. However, it gets a few electric-specific elements like a closed-off grille complementing the DRLs and the LED strip covering the width of the vehicle, and an EV-specific badge in the rear and sides. In this article, let's compare both models in terms of design, powertrain, features and more. Tata Harrier EV vs Diesel: Variants and pricing Comparing the variants and pricing first, the Harrier EV is available in three trims: Adventure, Fearless, and Empowered. As of now, Tata has revealed pricing only for the entry-level Adventure variant, which carries an introductory tag of Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end Empowered trim is expected to be priced higher than the most expensive diesel Harrier. Tata will also introduce a Stealth Edition of the Harrier EV, which features blacked-out styling cues both on the exterior and in the cabin. Tata Harrier EV vs Diesel: Powertrain The Harrier EV is a fully electric SUV built on a new-gen platform. It comes with two LFP battery choices - a 65 kWh and a 75 kWh. The 65kWh version powers a single rear-mounted motor delivering 238 hp, while the 75kWh variant adds a 158 hp motor to the front, enabling all-wheel drive with a combined output of 313 hp and 504Nm. Range figures for the smaller 65 kWh variant are yet to be disclosed. The 7.2kW AC charger takes around 10.7 hours to go from 10 to 100 per cent, while a 120kW DC fast charger can replenish the battery from 20 to 80 per cent in just 25 minutes. Tata also claims that a quick 15-minute DC charge can add up to 250km of range. Talking about the diesel Harrier, the SUV is powered by a Fiat-sourced, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel, 4-cylinder engine which puts out 170 hp of power and 350Nm torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Tata Harrier EV vs Diesel: Features In terms of features, the new Harrier EV gets a larger 14.53-inch infotainment screen with a Samsung Neo QLED display, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a touch-based HVAC control panel, a rotary selector for the six terrain modes - Normal, Snow/Grass, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Rock Crawl, Custom - and electronic parking brake. Tata Motors has officially launched the all-electric — an SUV that transcends traditional category benchmarks and redefines what a made-in-India vehicle can achieve. Built on Tata's next-generation pure EV architecture, the merges capability with high-end sophistication, offering an experience that is touted to be as indulgent as it is adventurous. At its core, the is engineered for performance. A dual-motor setup delivers an extraordinary 504 Nm of torque, with 158 PS (116 kW) sent to the front axle and 238 PS (175 kW) to the rear.
