The Chicago Sky currently have a 5-13 record during the 2025 WNBA season heading into Wednesday evening's matchup against the 6-14 Dallas Wings. The Sky have lost three of their last four games.

Second-year forward Kamilla Cardoso, who made the All-Rookie team in 2024, has been absent from the team for the last four contests. She was fulfilling an overseas commitment with her home country, Brazil, at the FIBA Americup tournament.
Cardoso returned to the United States on Tuesday, but not in time for the team's game against the Washington Mystics, which they lost by a score of 81 to 79.

For Wednesday's game, however, Cardoso is active and will return to play for Chicago. She has started all 14 games that she has appeared in this season, as well as 43 of her 46 career WNBA games.
However, in her first matchup back after returning from leave, first-year Sky head coach Tyler Marsh opted to bring Cardoso off the bench and will instead start veteran center Elizabeth Williams.

"starting 5️⃣," the Sky wrote.
Williams is coming off a season-high 20 points against the Mystics on Tuesday. She started in Cardoso's place for three of the four games that she missed, and Wednesday will mark Williams' fourth consecutive start.
Cardoso has seen an increase in her scoring average from last season, as she is now contributing 12.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. In her last game before departing, she recorded a career-high 27 points in a win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

Jerry Jones' Cowboys Make NFL History Ahead of 2025 Season
Jerry Jones' Cowboys Make NFL History Ahead of 2025 Season originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Dallas Cowboys have built an empire unlike anything else in American sports. Year after year, they dominate conversations, not just for what happens on Sundays, but for the scale of their reach, the scope of their brand and the way their name alone sparks attention. From coast to coast, the Cowboys remain a constant presence in sports media cycles. Their history, their star logo and their reputation as 'America's Team' have created a cultural footprint that defies geography. Dallas hasn't been to the Super Bowl in decades, yet the team still sells out massive venues and headlines prime-time slots with ease. This combination of legacy, brand power and relentless marketing under owner Jerry Jones, has made the franchise as much a business empire as a football team. Now, in the weeks ahead of the 2025 NFL season, that empire has reached a new milestone that pushes it further ahead of the league it already leads. Dallas Cowboys Hit Record $12.8 Billion Valuation Sportico's latest 2025 ranking places the Dallas Cowboys at a jaw-dropping $12.8 billion, breaking their record and setting a new high-water mark for NFL franchise valuations. This is not just a modest climb. It's a significant leap, reinforcing the Cowboys' unrivaled financial dominance. In comparison, the next-closest NFL team, the Los Angeles Rams, comes in at roughly $10.43 billion. The gap between Dallas and the rest of the league is now wider than ever, cementing its brand as one of the most powerful in all of sports. Looking back at 2024, Sportico had already made headlines when the Cowboys crossed the $10.32 billion threshold, becoming the first professional sports franchise ever to exceed $10 billion in value. That figure represented a steep jump from an estimate of about $9.2 billion earlier in the same year, showing how quickly the team's market worth was accelerating. For perspective, the average NFL team was valued at around $5.9 billion at that time. This 2025 valuation doesn't just nudge the needle; it rockets it forward. It reflects how the Cowboys' brand continues to outperform their on-field record, powered by bold ownership decisions, high-profile stadium investments and unmatched cultural reach. Jerry Jones Continues Financial Domination Despite On-Field Silence Owner and general manager Jerry Jones, who purchased the team in 1989 for roughly $140 million, has turned the Cowboys into a business titan. Even without a Super Bowl appearance since the 1995 season, Jones has kept the franchise relevant and profitable through a blend of aggressive branding, bold stadium investments and constant media visibility. The team's home, AT&T Stadium, nicknamed 'Jerry World,' stands as a monument to this strategy. Costing $1.3 billion to build, it draws events well beyond football, from major concerts to championship boxing, fueling the Cowboys' financial engine and global profile. This marks the sixth consecutive year the Cowboys have topped Sportico's rankings. In 2024, they became the first NFL franchise to surpass $10 billion in value. As the 2025 NFL season approaches, fans will look for wins on the field, but the Cowboys have already secured a different kind of victory: one built on legacy, scale and unmatched financial clout. Sportico's 2025 NFL Franchise Valuations Rankings Dallas Cowboys, $12.8 billion Los Angeles Rams, $10.43 billion New York Giants, $10.25 billion New England Patriots, $8.76 billion San Francisco 49ers, $8.6 billion Philadelphia Eagles, $8.43 billion Miami Dolphins, $8.25 billion New York Jets, $8.11 billion Las Vegas Raiders, $7.9 billion Washington Commanders, $7.47 billion Chicago Bears, $7.45 billion Houston Texans, $7.17 billion Atlanta Falcons, $7.05 billion Seattle Seahawks, $6.59 billion Denver Broncos, $6.55 billion Kansas City Chiefs, $6.53 billion Pittsburgh Steelers, $6.51 billion Green Bay Packers, $6.48 billion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $6.47 billion Minnesota Vikings, $6.28 billion Los Angeles Chargers, $6.21 billion Tennessee Titans, $6.2 billion Cleveland Browns, $6.14 billion Baltimore Ravens, $6 billion Detroit Lions, $5.88 billion Buffalo Bills, $5.87 billion Carolina Panthers, $5.76 billion Indianapolis Colts, $5.72 billion Arizona Cardinals, $5.66 billion New Orleans Saints, $5.63 billion Jacksonville Jaguars, $5.57 billion Cincinnati Bengals, $5.5 billionThis story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 13, 2025, where it first appeared.

Fever Superstar Caitlin Clark Gets Updated Return Projection From ESPN
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Indiana Fever have suffered through a disappointing season. After starting the year with WNBA Finals contention hype and Caitlin Clark preparing for a possible MVP season, things have not gone close to according to plan. Lately, Clark has been out since last playing on July 15. She has missed over a month now due to a groin injury. To this point, there has been no clarity about when she could make her return to the court. With the Fever struggling to remain in the playoff picture, Clark could not return fast enough. Unfortunately, no firm timeline has been given for her return. Caitlin Clark #22 of the Indiana Fever celebrates after the game against the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on August 9, 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Photo byDespite Indiana not releasing a projected return date, ESPN has taken a stab at doing just that. Read more: Caitlin Clark's Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Message Turns Heads Previously, they had targeted August 12 against the Dallas Wings as a possible return date for Clark. Now, they have updated that possible return date to August 26. Should Clark return on that date, she would make her comeback to the court facing off against the Seattle Storm. Her return would also happen to come at home. Over their last five games, the Fever have gone just 1-4. They have cooled off dramatically after finding some success early on after Clark's re-injury of the groin issue. Now, they are barely holding their heads above water. Due to their latest loss on Friday night to the Washington Mystics, Indiana dropped to 18-16 on the season. That has them placed at No. 3 in the Eastern Conference and No. 7 in the league. If the season ended today, the Fever would be in the playoffs. They would be playing the Atlanta Dream first in the postseason. Even when Clark has played this season, her injuries have impacted her performance. She has appeared in 13 games all year long, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, five rebounds, and 1.6 steals, while shooting 36.7 percent from the floor and 27.9 percent from three-point range. Read more: Wings' Paige Bueckers Reveals Favorite WNBA Player Without Hesitation Those numbers are nothing close to what fans and the media were expecting from her in year two. Hopefully, some good news comes out about Clark's progress and a potential return date. For now, ESPN's projected return date of August 26 is something to take note of as a possible glimmer of hope for Indiana. Next up for the Fever will be a Sunday afternoon matchup on the road against the Connecticut Sun. Make sure to follow Newsweek Sports for all Indiana Fever and WNBA news and updates.

How to watch South Africa vs. Australia: Live stream the 2025 Rugby Championship anywhere
The 2025 Rugby Championship kicks off with champions South Africa taking on wooden spoon holders Australia at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, and we have all the info that you need to watch South Africa vs. Australia, whatever hemisphere you're in. As well as the reigning Rugby Championship victors, the Springboks also hold the World Cup and the top spot in the international rugby rankings. With an 88% winning record, Rassie Erasmus is building a dynasty and is now seeking the country's first back-to-back titles in this tournament. It's been almost three years since they've lost to the Wallabies, so his side will start as heavy favorites as the likes of Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth, and Pieter-Steph du Toit all start in a very experienced XV. They may have ultimately lost the series, but the Lions tour of Australia suggested the health of the hosts may be in a better state than previously feared. After losing the second game to a controversial last minute try, the Wallabies powered their way to a win in the third and final fixture to provide some sense of optimism heading into the Rugby Championship. Heading across the Indian Ocean for a double header to begin won't make things easy, but experienced coach Joe Schmidt will have taken heart from their performances and will be buoyed by the return of veteran fly-half James O'Connor. Can the Wallabies out-jump the Springboks? You'll find international broadcasters on which to watch South Africa vs. Australia below, together with details on the kick-off time, streaming platforms, and how to use a VPN to access your live stream if you're overseas this weekend. How to watch South Africa vs. Australia in the UK You can watch South Africa vs. Australia on Sky Sports in the UK; it's the official Rugby Championship 2025 broadcaster. Sky TV plans that include Sky Sports start from £35/month, and you can customize your plan to make sure you get all the channels you need. Or, if you already have Sky, you can add its nine sports channels for an extra £22/month. You can learn more about it in our guide to the best Sky TV deals and plans guide. If you don't want to sign up to a lengthy Sky TV package, then you can opt for a more flexible Now Sports Membership, which starts from as little as £15/day or costs £35 on a rolling monthly basis. How to watch South Africa vs. Australia in the US If you're a big US-based rugby union fan, you're probably already aware of FloRugby. The specialist streamer features loads of live matches in North America and has exclusive rights to show Rugby Championship games — including South Africa vs. Australia — stateside this season. A rolling monthly subscription costs $30, or go for a whole year for $150 to watch every game of the 2025 Rugby Championship along with matches from the Super Rugby, Top 14, and URC. How to watch South Africa vs. Australia in Australia While free-to-air Channel 9 and its 9Now streaming platform have the rights to show the Wallabies' home games and those against New Zealand in this year's Rugby Championship, you can't watch South Africa vs. Australia there. Instead, you'll need a subscription to Stan Sport. The streaming service covers an ever-expanding array of live sports and costs from $32/month (combining a base Stan subscription of $12 with the Sport add-on for $20). How to watch South Africa vs. Australia from anywhere Your domestic coverage of the Rugby Championship won't be available to stream if you're overseas during the South Africa vs. Australia game. It will be blocked due to geographical restrictions, stopping you from watching on FloRugby, Sky Go, or any other platform. Thankfully, there's a way around this so that you still get access to the service you pay for… a VPN. VPNs (or Virtual Private Networks) spoof the IP address on your laptop, smartphone or streaming device so that they think they're in a different country entirely. The very best available is NordVPN, which has a great track record for unblocking streaming platforms and other blocked apps. It's also easy to use, has servers in more than 100 countries, and gives you an extra layer of encrypted cybersecurity when turned on, too. Give it a try risk free for 30 days or, if you're still not convinced, check out our full NordVPN review for more information. How to use a VPN Sign up for a VPN if you don't already have one. Install it on the device you're using to watch. Turn it on and set it to the location of your streaming service. Navigate to your streaming service and create an account if necessary. Enjoy the game. What is the South Africa vs. Australia head-to-head record? These two rugby union superpowers have played 95 times since their first fixture back in 1933. The Springboks are currently edging the head-to-head, having won 52 of their encounters compared to the Wallabies' 40. They've drawn three times. South Africa have won their last four clashes, with Australia's drought going back to August 2022. Even more foreboding for the Aussies is that they haven't beaten the Springboks on their turf for more than a decade — a win in Durban back in 2011 when this tournament was still the Tri Nations. What is the venue for South Africa vs. Australia? This Rugby Championship 2025 opener between South Africa vs. Australia will take place at the 62,000-capacity Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, where international rugby union has been played for more than a century. The 1995 Rugby World Cup final — after which Nelson Mandela memorably presented the Webb Ellis Cup to the successful Springboks — was played at Ellis Park, as were seven games of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
