Bruce Springsteen Barely Misses Hitting The Top 10 With A Major Collaboration
Just a few days ago, Bruce Springsteen surprise-released a new EP titled Land of Hope and Dreams. The six-song set features recordings from the Manchester opening night of the latest leg of his tour with the E Street Band. It arrives just a few weeks before the rocker is set to deliver seven full-lengths at once.
Amidst all the excitement surrounding Springsteen's catalog at the moment, the superstar nearly returns to the top 10 on a pair of charts in the U.K. with yet another recently-shared project.
Springsteen joined The Killers this past Record Store Day to release a very special short effort, Encore at the Garden. The project was recorded when the rock musician joined the band at a Madison Square Garden concert in October 2022. The vinyl single features just three live tracks: "Badlands," "Dustland," and "Born to Run,' and it becomes a bestseller again in the U.K. this frame.
The collaborative project returns to a pair of tallies and nearly climbs into the highest tier on both of them. Encore at the Garden misses the top 10 on the Official Vinyl Singles chart by just one space, landing at No. 11. The same three-song EP, which is credited as a single instead of an album due to its length, reappears at No. 13 on the Official Physical Singles list.
The set peaked at No. 3 on both the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts, debuting in that position in late April. It barely budged in its second frame on the two tallies, dipping just one spot on the physical-only roster and holding steady at No. 3 on the vinyl ranking.
Throughout its run, the project has spent just three frames on the Official Vinyl Singles chart and one more on the Official Physical Singles ranking.
In just a matter of days, Springsteen might collect a new top-selling album in the U.K. with Land of Hope and Dreams. The EP reached No. 1 on iTunes' Top Albums tally in the country, and though it had only a few days to rack up purchases — since it was released midweek — it may still have managed to perform well enough to appear on a handful of lists.
In a little over a month, Springsteen will also release the box set Tracks II: The Lost Albums. The project features seven finished full-lengths that were written and recorded at different points in his career, but never shared with the public.

Kate Middleton's mom strategy at her kids' sporting events is very relatable for exhausted parents anywhere
As parents, we don't always have the time; but we make the time. Panthea Parker of 'The Real Housewives of London' comes in contact with the Princess of Wales from time to time, as her son's school often plays sports against Lambrook School (where all three Wales children attend), and she has shared that Princess Catherine (who much of the world still calls Kate Middleton), is always present whenever a sports or school activity is happening. 'I see her quite a few times because my son's school plays against her son's school,' she told Hello! Magazine. 'So they play rugby and football against each other so we're always at her school or my school.' The two women aren't very well acquainted, but Parker is aware that Middleton is a constant fixture supporting her kids. "So classy, so lovely, and she never misses any of her children's matches, so really amazing. And nor do I, otherwise how do I know that?" she said in the interview. The Princess of Wales is famously a very hands-on parent, always present at all her kids' activities and sporting events (as referenced by royal expert Ingrid Seward in The Sun in a previous story). There's no doubt the future Queen of England has a lot on her plate, but she always makes the time to be present for her kids, and that's something we can all appreciate and relate to (or aspire to!). 'Superman' Actor and Star Dies
Terence Stamp, best known for his role playing the villain General Zod in the blockbuster films Superman and Superman II, has died at the age of 87. The news on Stamp, who first broke out as a popular actor in London in the 1960s, came from his family. Stamp, an Oscar-nominated actor, leaves behind a legacy of movies that were popular with a range of generations. He starred in Pier Paolo Pasolini's Theorem in 1968, A Season in Hell in 1971 and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in 1994, to name a handful. So, he was more than just the Superman actor. "He leaves behind an extraordinary body of work, both as an actor and as a writer that will continue to touch and inspire people for years to come," his family said in a statement sent out on Aug. 17. They added, "We ask for privacy at this sad time." According to Reuters, Stamp was born in London's East End in 1938 and lived through the bombing of the city during World War II. He left school to go into advertising, but theater was calling his name. He won a special scholarship to go to drama school and ended up pursuing the arts. The moved proved a good one for him. Stamp kicked off his feature film career with 1962's seafaring Billy Budd, and the film earned him an Oscar nomination. Later roles for Stamp included, of course, the role of General Zod, the feared head of the Kryptonians, in the 1978 version of Superman and its 1980s sequel. He also appeared in Valkyrie with famed actor Tom Cruise in 2008 and The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon in 2011. His last major film role was in 2021's Last Night in Soho. In The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, he played a transgender woman. "From wearing the high heels, my spine was completely out of alignment, and it took me about six months to get my spine re-orchestrated," he told CBS News in an interview that took place in 1999. Our thoughts and prayers are with Stamp's family during this difficult time.'Superman' Actor and Star Dies first appeared on Men's Journal on Aug 17, 2025 Solve the daily Crossword

HBO's HARRY POTTER Series Reveals First Look at the Weasley Family with New Cast Announcement — GeekTyrant
The Weasleys are officially stepping into the spotlight in HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series remake, and the magical family is already looking pretty great. While we've seen a steady stream of casting news for Hogwarts students, the red-headed wizarding clan is now starting to take shape, and we have a first look. We already knew that Alastair Stout would be playing Ron Weasley, Harry's loyal best friend, and Katherine Parkinson would take on the role of Molly Weasley, the loving matriarch. Now HBO has unveiled the young actors playing four more of Ron's siblings. Stepping into the roles of the mischievous twins Fred and George are real-life brothers Tristan and Gabriel Harland, while Ruari Spooner has been cast as the rule-abiding Percy Weasley. The youngest sibling, Ginny, the only daughter in the family, will be played by Gracie Cochrane. HBO revealed the cast with a fun selfie featuring the four newcomers alongside Stout, shared on Instagram. The Weasley family plays a major role in the Harry Potter universe, and since HBO is aiming for a more faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling 's books, their presence will be even more significant. These newly announced characters all appear in the first book, but there are still a few Weasleys left to cast. Arthur Weasley, the quirky and loveable patriarch, hasn't been revealed yet, but since he becomes a major player starting with the second book, he'll need to be cast soon, likely before production begins on Season 2. There's also Charlie Weasley, who might at least get a name-drop this season. In the book, Charlie plays a part in helping smuggle the baby dragon Norbert out of Hogwarts, a scene the films trimmed down, but one that the series now has time to explore more fully. Charlie doesn't physically appear until the fourth book, so his casting could wait unless HBO wants to show photos of him in the Weasley household. That same question goes for Bill Weasley, who becomes a bigger part of the story beginning in Goblet of Fire and shows up consistently through to the end. Whether the series casts him and Charlie early on just for background family moments, like Molly's magical 'grandfather clock', is still up in the air. In the movies, the clock featured photos of each family member, but the show might take a simpler route with names instead. For now, we've got a solid Weasley lineup to start the journey with Harry. HBO's Harry Potter series is currently filming and is slated to premiere sometime in early 2027.
