
Six people rescued from boat stranded on Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond Rescue Boat was launched to assist a boat stranded in the area of Balmaha around 10.53pm on Saturday.
Police Scotland called for help after Belfast Coastguard reported a 31-foot motor cruiser had lost power and was taking on water in the area.
LLRB arrived at the scene shortly after and discovered that the boat, which had six people on board, had grounded on Endrick Bank.
A member of the team entered the water and confirmed the people were safe before attaching a long rope to the boat.
The vessel was towed to deeper water by the rescue boat and assisted to Balamah Pier.
Crews were stood down at 12.30am on Sunday and returned to base.

Flames were seen ripping through the building after the inferno broke out in the early hours. A plume of smoke could be seen from Anderston - on the other side of the Clyde - and has been picked up on traffic cameras monitoring the M8. Firefighters are still at the scene battling the blaze this morning. Nine fire appliances were called to assist, alongside two high reach vehicles. It's currently unclear what sparked the fire, however no one has been injured as a result. Stanley Street and Milne Park Street have been closed off and locals have been asked to avoid the area. Firefighters tackling blaze at Glasgow industrial estate
FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a fire that erupted at a building within an industrial estate in Glasgow. Emergency services were alerted to reports of smoke and flames coming from a premises on Stanley Street, Kinning Park, shortly before 6.46am on Thursday.
