Netflix's "brutal" sequel to its hit horror trilogy is available to watch now
Netflix's "brutal" Fear Street sequel is now available to watch on the platform.
Fear Street: Prom Queen follows on from the 2021 trilogy of movies, all based on the RL Stine books, and centres on a prom night in 1988 as a bloody murderer is on the loose.
The movie is now available to watch for Netflix users globally as of today – so if you're looking for a chilling weekend watch, look no further.
The film follows prom season at Shadyside High, with the school's It Girls "busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown".
However, "when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court" and other girls mysteriously disappear, "the class of '88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night," the synopsis adds.

Prom Queen has landed a largely mixed reception from critics, sitting at a 45% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, with TheWrap writing: "Fear Street: Prom Queen isn't a bust, it's just not very inspired. Again, those brutal murders will help you get through it."
"Fear Street started as a series that tried to reinvent the wheel, even just by dint of its structure and nods to the innate curse of marginalization; this is empty-headed, straightforward slasher schlock on purpose," added RoberEbert.com.
"That's all well and good in some contexts, but if that's what you want, why not just watch one of the classics instead?"

The Daily Beast called the movie "cartoonishly gory and drearily unoriginal and predictable", adding: "It's a collection of tired devices and shout-outs that plays like training wheels slasher cinema."
Prom Queen stars The Nevers' India Fowler, Red Rocket's Suzanna Son, Paper Girls' Fina Strazza, and The Summer I Turned Pretty's David Iacono, with Matt Palmer directing.
Fear Street: Prom Queen is available to stream now on Netflix.

'MobLand' season 2: Everything we know so far
After that chaotic season 1 finale, fans of "MobLand" — the gritty Paramount Plus drama chronicling the bitter and bloody feud between two warring London crime families, the Harrigans and the Stevensons — will no doubt be jonesing for more from Pierce Brosnan's Conrad Harrigan, Helen Mirren's Maeve Harrigan, Tom Hardy's Harry Da Souza and the rest of the star-studded cast. "MobLand," which is executive produced by Guy Ritchie and also stars Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver and Anson Boon, among others, premiered on the Paramount streaming service on March 30 and was an early hit with viewers. Per Deadline, the drama debuted to 8.8 million viewers in its first week on Paramount Plus, making it the streamer's biggest global series launch. That strong viewership, as well as a reasonably solid critical response — the first season holds a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes — has led to speculation about a potential second season of the series. Here's everything we know so far about "MobLand" season 2. As of press time, Paramount Plus has not formally announced a second season of "MobLand," though there is a very strong chance that the organized crime series will return for another installment, given that it's one of the top TV shows of the year so far. Per TV Insider, "MobLand" was Paramount's third-biggest title on Nielsen's list of 100 biggest series of the 2024-2025 broadcast season, with 11 million average views, coming in behind fellow hits like "Landman" (at 15.8 million) and "1923" (at 11.9 million). The Ritchie-produced series beat out already-renewed series like "Tulsa King" (8.4 million) and "Lioness" (7.8 million), so a second edition is likely. If there is a second season, it likely won't arrive until 2026 or early 2027. Using the production and release schedule of the drama's first season as a framework, "MobLand" season 1 went into production in November 2024 and was ready to premiere on Paramount Plus in March 2025, per Men's Health. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. In a video interview with Deadline, producer David Glasser not only confirmed a second season of the show is in the works (we're still waiting for the official sign-off from Paramount, however) but also revealed that the whole creative team and main cast will return for the next installment. 'Everybody's coming back," Glasser declared. "One big family!' That would seemingly include "MobLand" leads Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, as well as fellow main cast members Joanne Froggatt, Paddy Considine, Lara Pulver and Anson Boon. Since the second season hasn't yet been formally announced, we don't know the official plotlines for "MobLand" season 2. However, if series star Tom Hardy has his way, the show will need a passport for the next installment. 'The plan is definitely to see more seasons,' the actor told The Hollywood Reporter. 'Does it become international?' Hardy continued: 'There are international elements to organized crime, which are touched on in season 1 and the control of drugs and ammunition and weapons and people and all kinds of things that go through Europe and from Africa through to South America, Pakistan and the variable commodities that move around Europe. "There are families that are involved in each European country that are vying for power to have that status to be able to move these kind of commodities through and who polices that and how that fits into a world stage.' We'll have to wait and see which kind of mob antics, international or otherwise, the Harrigans will be getting into if "MobLand" continues. Tom's Guide will keep you up-to-date on all things related to the Paramount Plus hit, including renewal news, plot points, character details, teaser clips and more.

Wicked 2 debuts first clip of iconic song in new teaser ahead of trailer release
Wicked fans have been treated to a first tease of iconic song 'For Good' in an exciting new teaser clip. The anticipated second movie instalment of the hit musical, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, arrives in cinemas this November and audiences don't have long to wait to see the official trailer. Universal Pictures UK revealed that the trailer for Wicked: For Good will drop this Thursday (5 June), sharing a new clip to tease the trailer release. The clip itself saw the Wicked cast appear in character to the tune of the film's namesake title - and one of the musical's beloved songs - 'For Good'. The song plays as a piano instrumental version, with Erivo and Grande's voices heard together for the famous lyric: "I have been changed." Erivo is the first to appear as Elphaba in the clip, followed by Jonathan Bailey's Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh's Madame Morrible and Jeff Goldblum's The Wizard. Related: Ethan Slater stars as Boq, followed by Marissa Bode who plays Elphaba's sister Nessarose Thropp. The clip ends on Grande as Glinda, who waves her wand and the film title appears. It's likely that the Wicked: For Good trailer will drop in the UK in the early hours on Thursday morning, which will work out as Wednesday evening (4 June) in the US. The second movie will see Act II of the musical brought to life on the big screen, with Wicked Part One ending on Cynthia Erivo's acclaimed rendition of 'Defying Gravity' (which coincidentally ends Act I of the musical). Related: 'For Good' is one of many musical numbers fans can look forward to in Part Two, with other anticipated soundtrack songs including 'No Good Dead', 'As Long As You're Mine' and the reprise of 'I'm Not That Girl'. Wicked: For Good will arrive in cinemas on 21 November. Wicked is available to rent now from , , and other digital retailers in the UK. Digital Spy's first print magazine is here! 'Incredibly entertaining' Michael B. Jordan movie now available to watch at home — it's my favorite movie of the year so far
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. I hope most of you took advantage of seeing Sinners on the big screen — and in IMAX and/or 70mm if possible — as that experience is truly what helped make the Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler movie the best movie of the year so far in my book. But if you haven't been able to see the movie in theaters, well, things have gotten a bit easier for you, as you can now watch Sinners at home via digital on-demand platforms. As of Tuesday, June 3, you can buy or rent Sinners through Prime Video and other digital on-demand platforms. Sinners is still playing in movie theaters if you want to try and catch it on the big screen, but admittedly, watching Sinners at home makes it easier to catch up with the movie. Sinners takes place in the Mississippi Delta of the 1930s, where twin brothers Smoke and Stack (both played by Jordan) return home looking to start their own club. However, on opening night, they have some unannounced visitors who bring unparalleled chaos to the proceedings. In addition to Jordan, Sinners stars Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O'Connell, Miles Caton, Wunmi Mosaku, Delroy Lindo, Li Jun Li, Omar Benson Miller and Jayme Lawson. In my Sinners review, I called the movie 'the first truly great movie of 2025,' and a month and a half later, it is still the best movie I've seen this year. While the movie theater experience was definitely special, the performances, the storytelling and the craftsmanship of Sinners will have the movie play well on whatever size screen (though I'd still recommend watching it on the biggest TV you have). I'm not alone in my praise, as Sinners is 'Certified Fresh' on Rotten Tomatoes with a critics' score of 97% and 'Verified Hot' on the platform with an audience score of 96%. It's also pulled in the dough, with it ranking as the third highest-grossing movie at the US box office as of publication and top 10 worldwide. In summation, Sinners has become something of a phenomenon for moviegoers. So anyone who likes to be caught up with the latest movies and hasn't seen Sinners yet — or if you want to watch the movie again — well, now you have multiple options to do so. To be clear though, Sinners is not available as part of a major streaming service at this time, you have to buy the movie or pay a rental fee to watch it at home. We're still waiting on an official streaming release date for Sinners, but as a Warner Bros. movie, we all but know where it is going to be available to stream first — on Max (or perhaps it will be HBO Max again by the time Sinners arrives on the platform). If you need any final convincing, here is the Sinners trailer to give a quick preview:
