Massive march in capital Sana'a under title "With Gaza... Confronting genocide & starvation crime"

Saba Yemen16-05-2025
Sana'a - Saba:
The capital Sana'a witnessed on Thursday a massive popular march in support of Gaza and solidarity with the Palestinian people under the slogan "With Gaza... Confronting genocide & starvation Crime ."
The gathered crowds celebrated the strikes carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces deep in the heart of the Zionist enemy entity in the occupied territories, the latest being the targeting of Lod Airport (Ben Gurion).
They affirmed the continuation of mobilization and readiness to confront the Zionist enemy... renewing their full mandate to the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and their high preparedness to execute all options and engage in "the Battle of the Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad."
The crowds chanted slogans:
- "Our stance is firm and rooted... our patience is with Allah, long and enduring."
- "We will continue, we will respond... in Jaffa and Lod Airport."
- "Despite all odds... the stolen right will return."
- "A cry against normalization... we will not accept the war of starvation."
- "In Gaza, there are men of God... a miracle of steadfastness."
- "A million salutes to Gaza... to its brigades and Al-Qassam."
- "Israel, death, death... make them hear it loud and clear."
- "The Yemeni people and their leader... stand with Gaza as one body."
The masses also raised slogans of victory, jihad, and alertness, expressing their unwavering support for Gaza and the Palestinian people, declaring that they will never stand alone no matter how much the normalizers betray.
They emphasized the Yemeni people's continued commitment to million-man marches in jihad for the sake of Allah, seeking His pleasure without fatigue or boredom, in support and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The million-strong crowds renewed their call to Arab and Islamic nations to fulfill their responsibilities toward the genocide, siege, and starvation crimes committed against their brothers in Gaza, urging economic boycotts against the enemies.
Speech by African Communities in Yemen
During the march, a speech was delivered on behalf of African communities in Yemen, condemning the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people. It called for unified solidarity and mobilization in the fields of dignity and honor to support this global cause and defend the oppressed who are being exterminated, starved, and displaced daily while the world remains silent.
The speech expressed the pride of African communities in standing shoulder to shoulder with the Yemeni people in jihad for the sake of Allah, supporting the oppressed. It urged the nation's people to rally around the leader of the Quranic march, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, as a religious and Islamic duty.
Statement from the Million-Man March
A statement issued by the march affirmed the continuation of weekly million-man marches without fatigue or hesitation, in support of the oppressed Muslim Palestinian people, as a jihad for the sake of Allah and seeking His pleasure, maintaining a just and honorable stance.
Addressing the Palestinian people, especially the people of Gaza, on the anniversary of the Great Nakba, the statement said:
"Through your jihad for the sake of Allah, your patience, and unparalleled steadfastness, you prevent the repetition of the Nakba. With these immortal stances, you stand as a stumbling block before the Zionist enemy, protecting the Arab and Islamic nations from further tragedies. We stand with you, and by our reliance on Allah and our jihad in His path, the Nakba will not be repeated—God willing. Instead, Allah's inevitable promise of the demise of the oppressive entity and the triumph of His religion will be fulfilled, even if the disbelievers despise it."
The statement added:
"We take pride in returning the greetings and pledges of loyalty to our brothers in Al-Quds Brigades and all the noble mujahideen who honored us and our leader in their latest missile operation against the Zionist entity, specifically addressing the million-man crowds in Sab'een Square and other arenas. We say to you: Your message is the most precious thing we receive in this sacred battle. We pledge to remain by your side, faithful to the path of jihad and obedience to Allah, no matter the challenges, relying on Him and trusting in His victory—for the end belongs to the righteous."
The statement noted that while the Zionist enemy escalates its crimes in Gaza—killing, besieging, and starving—the criminal disbeliever Trump, the primary partner of Zionism in these crimes, was arrogantly touring some Gulf capitals, amassing unprecedented amounts of wealth from Arab and Muslim nations to fund the war criminals of the enemy entity in their genocide against the Palestinian people and the killing of Arabs and Muslims. Shockingly, in some capitals, Arab girls were presented to dance shamefully before him with uncovered heads—a scene reflecting horrific detachment from Islam, the teachings of the Quran, wounding living hearts, and provoking Arab dignity.
Yet, the statement highlighted that hope and pride come from the missiles that flew during the criminal Trump's speech, passing over his head into the depths of the enemy entity, proving that Islam remains mighty by Allah's might, and that what happens does not represent Islam nor is accepted by people of faith and wisdom—"Honor belongs to Allah, His Messenger, and the believers."
The statement reminded the Arab and Islamic nations of their religious, humanitarian, moral, and fraternal responsibilities, which do not fade with time but grow greater in the face of the tragedies in Gaza. It called for real action and the mobilization of all energies to defend their brothers and their sanctities in Palestine.
It stressed that the economic boycott of the enemies is among the least demanding yet most impactful responsibilities—one that no Muslim is exempt from—alongside organizing protests and demonstrations.
The statement also called on scholars, thought leaders, intellectuals, and political elites to raise awareness within the nation about the necessity of a sincere return to the Quran, adherence to it, and the importance of upholding responsibility and jihad for the sake of Allah against the enemies of God and humanity—"for that is the only true path to protect the nation, its honor, dignity, religion, and land—anything else is disgrace and betrayal."

Al-Qassam Brigades Destroy Israeli D9 Bulldozer in Gaza's Al-Zaytoun Neighborhood

Gaza – Saba: The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Hamas) announced on Tuesday the destruction of an Israeli military bulldozer (D9 type) in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City. The operation, carried out last Sunday afternoon, targeted the vehicle near Al-Manassra Stadium in southern Al-Zaytoun, using a pre-planted high-explosive device . The D9 armored bulldozer, a heavily fortified vehicle used by Israeli forces for clearing terrain and structures, was destroyed using a "Thaqib" penetrating explosive (referred to as "Yasin 105" in some contexts) . Al-Qassam fighters monitored the aftermath, confirming casualties among Israeli troops during evacuation efforts .

UN: Gaza's Children Deprived of Education, Threatened with a Lost Future

Gaza – Saba The United Nations stated on Tuesday evening that Gaza's children should have been preparing to return to their classrooms at the start of the new academic year. Instead, the reality of war has turned their lives into a daily struggle for water, food, and shelter in overcrowded displacement camps inside schools themselves. In a post on its official X platform account, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the UN emphasized that the continued deprivation of education for children risks the loss of an entire generation. It stressed that "a ceasefire is the first and necessary step to enable them to reclaim their right to education and build a secure future." With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 62,064 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and injuring 156,573 others, as of today. This toll is not final, as thousands of victims remain under rubble and on streets, unreachable by rescue and ambulance teams.

68 aid organizations in Yemen call for solidarity and urgent action on World Humanitarian Day

Today, the humanitarian community marks World Humanitarian Day, a time to recognize the vital role of aid workers and pay tribute to those who have lost or risked their lives in the course of duty. It is also an occasion to reflect on the plight of the millions of people around the world—including in Yemen—who are caught up in crises, and to reaffirm our shared responsibility to protect the humanitarian lifelines they depend on. Targeting humanitarian workers is not only a violation of International Humanitarian Law, but also an indirect attack on the millions of vulnerable people they serve. Humanitarian workers must be protected at all times and must be able to carry out their life-saving work safely and without interference or undue restrictions. So far this year, 17 incidents of violence against humanitarian personnel and assets have been recorded across Yemen. Dozens of personnel from UN, non-governmental and civil society organizations continue to be arbitrarily detained by the de facto authorities, most of them for over a year or more. The humanitarian community continues to call for the protection of all aid workers and the unconditional and immediate release of detained colleagues. This World Humanitarian Day comes at a time when humanitarian needs are surging. Yemen is now the world's third largest hunger crisis, with more than 18 million people projected to be acutely food insecure by September. Malnutrition rates and disease outbreaks are escalating, with particularly dire impacts for Yemen's children. Protection risks are multiplying, especially for women and girls, internally displaced persons, refugees, migrants, people with disabilities and other at-risk groups. While the humanitarian community is prioritizing its response to reach the most vulnerable, the very essential services that women, girls, boys and men rely on to survive are being reduced due to funding cuts and operational constraints. This is creating a collision course—where needs are soaring just as support is slipping away. Despite tremendous challenges, humanitarians in Yemen have not stopped and will not give up in their efforts to save lives and alleviate suffering across the country, working hand-in-hand with the communities they serve. This year, 155 aid organizations have reached more than 3.2 million people every month with vital aid such as clean water, food, health care, protection assistance, shelter, non-food items and cash. 'It's not just a profession; it is much more and beyond. It's a calling to step into places and reach people that often feel forgotten, and to offer hope, relief and dignity when it's needed most', says Bushra, a Yemeni aid worker. Today, we stand together with all humanitarians in Yemen and around the world who are pushing against the odds and putting their lives on the line to serve those most in need. Now more than ever, the international community must #ActForHumanity to protect and enable their vital work.
