Some downtown Pensacola roads to close for Grand Fiesta Parade
According to a news release from the City of Pensacola, the float staging area will close around 4:30 p.m., and the parade route will be closed at approximately 5 p.m. The parade begins at 7 p.m.
Portion of 9th Avenue in Pensacola remains closed due to water main rupture
The route will be the same as the Mardi Gras parades earlier this year with floats going between Wright Street and Main Street, impacting Garden Street, Palafox Street and Spring Street.
The road closures will extend to Tarragona Street, DeVilliers Street and Main Street.
City officials are reminding drivers that there is no parking on the parade route, and vehicles will be towed from 5:30 p.m. onward.

A$AP Rocky Borrows Rihanna's Suit and Polka Dot Tie To Walk the Red Carpet
Back in May, A$AP Rocky told The Run-Through podcast that Rihanna had made a habit of stealing from his closet. And it looks like he's making good on sharing their sartorial abundances. 'I wanna be a catalyst for daring men. I don't know who drew the line between femininity — or being feminine — and masculinity. I don't see any barriers,' he said on the pod. 'For me, it's not fair that my girl could just go in my closet and take anything from it and wear it.' 'She does it to me all the time, man! Sometimes you just see her on an interview or see a paparazzi photo, like, 'Wait, there goes my Miu Miu f–king jacket! What the f*ck? I was looking for that since 2021!'' he added. 'That goes both ways. She has pieces she don't know that I actually stole.' Well, she'll know now. On August 13, the rapper, designer, and actor got suited and booted for his Highest 2 Lowest premiere in Los Angeles, wearing a navy nylon suit from ERL's fall 2025 collection, a gray shirt, and polka dot tie also from Eli Russell Linnetz, paired with a pair of Ray Bans (for which he is creative director), silver hoops in both ears, and black patent loafers. Rocky and his stylist Matthew Henson didn't have to look too far for inspiration though—the suit and tie comes straight from Rihanna's recent back catalog of fits.

We get it. There aren't enough hours in the day (or airline miles in your account) to get to everything worth seeing this fall. That's why Pursuits editors have compiled a list of what we believe will be the cream of the crop—the books, exhibitions, performances and movies that everyone will be talking about. If you can see more than one of the below, count yourself among the lucky few. ART Man Ray: When Objects Dream Man Ray (1890-1976) is best known for inventing the rayograph, an artwork made by placing objects such as feathers, wine glasses and coiled springs on or near photo paper and exposing them to light, producing X-ray-like prints. A huge new show will feature about 60 of these works, along with roughly 100 other pieces from the 1910s and '20s. Sept. 14–Feb. 1 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York
