Nothing updates Essential Space with Google Calendar integration and more: Know what's changing

India Today7 days ago
Nothing has rolled out a new set of updates for its Essential Space feature, aiming to improve how users manage their tasks and recordings. One of the most useful additions is Google Calendar integration. This means to-do lists created inside Essential Space can now be automatically synced with your calendar. Users who rely on their phones to stay on top of their schedule may find this change helpful, as it removes the need to manage things in separate apps. The update doesn't require any system-level download, it rolls out directly through the Google Play Store and works once your device is connected to Wi-Fi.advertisementAnother change focuses on the Recorder tool, which sits within the Essential Space suite. After a recording, the app creates an AI summary of the conversation. Now, users can edit this summary to correct or add any important points that the AI may have missed. There's also a new option to export these summaries in various formats — image, PDF, or Markdown — depending on how you want to save or share them. For context, Essential Space is part of Nothing's broader software experience in OS 3.5, which currently ships with the Phone 3. It's designed to offer smart features that stay out of the way but come in handy when needed. With this update, it moves closer to being a useful productivity companion, rather than just a background AI assistant.
For now, the latest Essential Space features are only available on the Nothing Phone 3. However, it is expected that the same tools will make their way to other compatible phones in the coming weeks, including the mid-range models — Phone 3a and 3a Pro.This update comes at a time when the Nothing Phone 3 is gaining momentum. Positioned as Nothing's first proper flagship, it launched recently in India with a starting price of Rs 79,999. The phone features a 6.67-inch OLED display with high peak brightness, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, and a 5,500mAh battery with fast charging. On the back, it packs a trio of 50-megapixel cameras — including a periscope lens — and introduces the new Glyph Matrix lighting system made up of nearly 500 micro-LEDs.Nothing has also added a few thoughtful touches to the hardware design. A glowing red square lights up during video recording, while a circular back button controls the Glyph Matrix's settings. The design remains transparent but now combines aesthetics with added functionality. Under the hood, the phone uses a new image processing system called TrueLens Engine 4, aimed at boosting photo and video performance.- Ends

Google Pixel 10 series: New colour options, design tweaks and more expected

Google may have accidentally revealed the entire upcoming Pixel 10 series. According to a report by Android Authority, a banner on the Google Play Store briefly showcased what appears to be the full Pixel 10 lineup before it was taken down. As per the report, the image displayed four models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google Pixel 10 series: What to expect As per the report, the alleged banner of the Pixel 10 series showed all four models from the rear, revealing key design changes. Pixel 10 The standard Pixel 10 was reportedly shown in a new Indigo Blue colourway, with a design that largely resembles its predecessor. However, one key difference was in the horizontal rear camera module that now houses three camera sensors — up from the dual-camera setup seen on the Pixel 9. This aligns with previous reports suggesting that Google could add a telephoto lens to the base Pixel 10 model, possibly the same one used in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel 10 is expected to be powered by Google's next-generation Tensor G5 chip, like the rest of the series. Camera changes are also likely, with the primary sensor expected to match the one used on the Pixel 9a. That could represent a downgrade in resolution compared to the Pixel 9's main camera. Pixel 10 Pro Fold The Pixel 10 Pro Fold was reportedly shown in the same 'Moonstone' colour previously seen in Pixel 10 Pro teasers. This shade appears to be a mix of grey and blue tones. A separate report from 9to5Google also notes that the foldable may come in an additional Jade-and-Gold colour variant, with a green back and golden frame and camera module. While the design is expected to remain largely unchanged from its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could receive some internal changes. These may include a primary and ultra-wide camera setup borrowed from the Pixel 9a, a larger 6.4-inch cover display (up from 6.3 inches), a bigger 5,015mAh battery, and support for the Qi2 wireless charging standard. Pixel 10 Pro / Pixel 10 Pro XL Google has already previewed the Pixel 10 Pro's design in an earlier teaser. The overall design appears unchanged from last year but could be offered in new colours like 'Moonstone' and a Jade variant with gold accents — similar to the Fold model. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is expected to carry the same design as the Pro model, but in a larger form factor with a bigger display.

The Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are reported to have the same length and width as their predecessors but are slightly thicker by 0.1mm. The weight has also increased to 204g and 207g, compared to 198g and 199g for the Pixel 9 models.
