Hear'Say star Kym Marsh to bring new play to Ireland for Gaiety Theatre run
Single White Female will run at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre from 31 March to 4 April, with Dublin tickets to go on sale on Friday 11 July.
The play, written by author, journalist, and broadcaster Rebecca Reid, is described as a "bold and modern reimagining" of the 1992 psychological thriller.
Former Coronation Street star Marsh said: "I am so excited to be bringing this brilliant, brand-new, and thrilling play to theatres across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
"I remember being totally gripped by the movie when I first saw it in the cinema and could never have imagined back then that I'd be starring in the world premiere of its life on stage.
"Get ready to be thrilled, shocked, and entertained, and watch out for those stiletto heels."
Marsh, who first shot to fame in the group Hear'Say, went on to play a major role as Coronation Street's Michelle Connor from 2006 to 2019 before starring in Waterloo Road.
The new play updates the plot of the film, which was itself based on a novel called SWF Seeks Same by John Lutz.
"Full of dark humour and sharp and suspenseful storytelling, this new play updates the original story to the age of social media and all that it brings, in a gripping tale of ambition, obsession, and the desperate need for belonging in an isolated world," producers said.
The play will open at Brighton's Theatre Royal on 9 January 2026 and will then tour until 13 June.
Full casting is yet to be announced.

Corrie star dies aged 78 as tributes paid to 'one of Ireland's greatest actors'
Tributes have been paid to award-winning Irish actor Frank Grimes, who has passed away at the age of 78. Grimes, who was known for roles in the ITV soap Coronation Street and the star-studded, BAFTA-winning drama A Bridge Too Far, passed away in the early hours of Friday morning (August 1) after a very short illness, surrounded by his wife and family. The acclaimed actor's death was announced by The Irish Cultural Centre, who paid tribute to the esteemed star of stage and screen. "Frank was undoubtedly one of Ireland's greatest actors, he was a dearly loved friend of the ICC's and over the past three decades, he trod the ICC's stage on so many occasions," the ICC said in a statement. "Anyone who saw Frank perform his riveting self-penned production 'the he and the she of it…' A Portrait of James Joyce", will know what a thrilling, powerful, unforgettable performance it was! Born in Cabra in north Dublin in 1947 and the youngest of seven children, Grimes' passion for theatre was inspired by a teacher who loved Shakespeare. He went on to train at the Abbey School of Acting and was a member of the Abbey Players. A veteran of the stage, Grimes performed at the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Court and in London's West End over the course of his career. Alongside his many roles on stage, Grimes' career included a number of film and TV credits such as A Bridge Too Far, War of the Buttons and The Outsider, as well as Kavanagh QC, Mrs Brown's Boys and the RTÉ drama series, Strumpet City. In 2008, Grimes made his first appearance as Barry Connor in the ITV soap Coronation Street, and the actor would go on to appear in more than 50 episodes of the long-running drama before exiting the show in 2015. The Abbey Theatre in Dublin was among those to pay tribute to the acclaimed actor following the news of his death. "The Abbey Theatre is saddened to learn of the passing of actor, Frank Grimes," a spokesperson said in a message shared on social media. "A versatile actor, Frank performed in various productions on both the Abbey and Peaock stages from 1965 to 1972, including plays by Sean O'Casey, Lady Gregory, Oliver Goldsmith, Thomas Kilroy, J.M. Father Ted star lands new major role in Coronation Street
Father Ted's Pauline McLynn is returning to our screens after joining the cast of Coronation Street. The 63-year-old is most known for playing the lovable housekeeper Mrs Doyle in the iconic comedy series and now will venture across to the UK television scene to join the long-running soap. Pauline will star as part of a new family who will take over the local pub, the Rovers Return Inn. Pauline played the lovable Mrs Doyle. Ben's two sons and Eva's daughter Suzie will also be joining the cast. Residents will discover that Eva and Ben are taking over as the new landlady and landlord of the pub in October, seven years after Eva left the street to start a new life in France with her daughter. Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks said: 'We are beyond thrilled that Eva is returning as the landlady of the Rovers, with her new blended family in tow. Among the others who have left are Colson Smith, who played Craig Tinker, Luca Toolan, who played Mason Radcliffe, and Helen Worth, who played Gail Platt. Coronation Street has been running for 65 years after first airing in December 1960. With the most recent one airing this week, the British soap has broadcasted 11,634 episodes and there are plenty more to come. It is estimated that it would take over six months to watch the whole series without taking a single break.
