Filmmaker Karan Johar, in a recent discussion with Bollywood Hungama, dropped a surprising name, spotlighting an actor who dominates without a traditional PR playbook. 'I think everyone kind of understands it well. But can I say who I think is the best star who has managed to stay away from social media, from the arc light and still emerged as a massive superstar — Ranbir Kapoor. He doesn't have a PR team, he therefore has the best PR team," said Karan.
While stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Salman Khan dominate social media with millions of followers, Ranbir Kapoor steers clear of public platforms entirely. Though he once admitted to lurking on Instagram through a secret account, he maintains no official presence on the photo-sharing app as of now.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is currently shooting for Love And War with Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt. He also has Ramayana with Sai Pallavi in his kitty. It will be releasing in two parts.
In the meantime, Karan is focused on directing an action film next, following the success of his 2023 romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
