'Every fight scene is driven by story and emotion, not added just for spectacle,' Vijay remarked. He hinted that the sequel will delve deeper into themes of patriotism and the journey of a tribal leader, promising it to be even grander.
Discussing his preparation for the role, Vijay revealed he underwent a six-month physical transformation and researched period-specific dialects and styling. A standout moment, the intense ship-pulling scene, was shot in the blistering May heat and is being hailed as the film's "Jersey moment."
He also shared that renowned filmmaker Sukumar personally called to appreciate his performance, calling it a 'very special compliment.' As for future projects, Vijay is set to appear in Rahul Sankrityan's Rayalaseema-based drama, followed by a film with director Ravi Kiran Kola.

After Film Body's Warning, Kartik Aaryan Says He's "Not Associated" With Event Organised By Pakistani Restaurant
New Delhi: After the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) warned Kartik Aaryan against participating in a US-based Independence Day event allegedly organised by a Pakistani-owned restaurant, the actor's team issued a statement denying his involvement. What's Happening "Kartik Aaryan is not associated with this event in any capacity. He has never made an official announcement about participating in this event. We have contacted the organisers and requested to remove all promotional materials featuring his name and image," read an official statement from the actor's team. In a media release, FWICE claimed that Kartik was scheduled to attend "Azadi Utsav - The Indian Independence Day", an event set to take place in Houston on August 15. According to the organisation, the event is being hosted by Aga's Restaurant and Catering, which is owned by Pakistani-origin businessman Shaukat Maredia. Background FWICE cited its earlier directive, issued in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack, urging members of the Indian film industry to avoid any professional ties with Pakistani artists, technicians or organisers. "We believe you may not have been fully aware of the organisers background or affiliations. If so, we strongly urge you to immediately withdraw your participation from this event. However, if you were aware, it becomes a matter of even greater concern, and we expect a clarification and immediate distancing from such associations," FWICE said. On the work front, Kartik will next be seen in Anurag Basu's untitled romantic drama and Karan Johar's home production Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri.

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], August 3 (ANI): In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Kerala Film Policy Conclave in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, August 2. Several leading voices from the Malayalam film industry came forward to take part in the conclave, including superstar Mohanlal. The first day of the event saw key discussions on the issues in the industry, focused on promoting inclusivity, safety, employment laws, working hours, legal safeguards and much more. State minister Saji Cherian, who was also present at the event, spoke to the media and shared details about the discussions at the conclave. Cherian noted that the first day of the Kerala Film Policy Conclave concluded successfully with the participation of many prominent personalities and five panels. Some of the key issues that were actively discussed during the conclave were on "defined working hours, employment laws, work overload, and job security. There was also a strong suggestion that both male and female representatives must be present in grievance redressal cells. Discussions at the conclave strongly raised the demand for legal safeguards against online hate and cyberattacks. There was also a call to form a state-level jury for selecting films for various film festivals." Cherian also spoke about a public demand to reduce the cost of food items sold in theatres. "The entire film industry should not be seen as problematic. The issues we witness are isolated incidents. Once the policy framework is in place, stricter measures will be adopted wherever necessary," he added. The Kerala Chief Minister also shared an update from the conclave, stating that the initiative marked a significant step in shaping the future of Malayalam cinema. Speaking at the event, the CM reiterated his thoughts on the 71st National Film Awards, calling out the recognition of Adah Sharma's 'The Kerala Story.'
