The project announcement poster of the new film that was shared by the production house gives the impression that this will be a period film and that it will be high on action. The poster, which has the caption "The land burned a rebel rose", shows a cannon surrounded by bayonets aiming for an army on the other side. The fact that the makers have already announced that this will be the tale of a rebel has sparked off speculation that this will be a historical film set in 18th century in Bengal. For Rishab Shetty, this will be a significant film as it will mark his debut in Telugu. Shooting for Shetty's eagerly awaited Kantara:Chapter 1, the prequel to the immensely popular pan Indian blockbuster Kantara, has already been wrapped. It may be recalled that only 10 days ago, Hombale Films, the production house producing Kantara:Chapter 1, had announced that they had wrapped up the film and had also released a glimpse video. The production house had then said, "Wrap Up… The Journey Begins. Presenting #WorldOfKantara ~ A Glimpse into the making. #KantaraChapter1 has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit. Can't wait to see you all in theatres on October 2nd, as this legendary tale unfolds on big screens worldwide." For those unaware, director Ashwin Gangaraju is best known for having made the Telugu film Aakashavaani, featuring Samuthirakani, Vinay Varma and Teja Kakumanu in the lead. The film, which was originally scheduled for a theatrical release, had to be released on OTT due to the Covid pandemic.

Anirudh Ravichander says Vijay Deverakonda's ‘Kingdom' will be a ‘milestone film' in their careers
Ace composer Anirudh Ravichander on Monday (July 28) said that his upcoming film,Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, will be a milestone film in their careers. He said this at the pre-release event of the film in Hyderabad. The composer also praised Vijay, narrating a recent incident that, he said, 'showed the heart of Vijay Deverakonda.' After a fiery performance, Anirudh began his speech by thanking the producer Naga Vamsi, director Gowtham Tinnanuri, female lead Bhagyashri Borse, and the cast and crew of the film. 'Last but not least, let me come to 'Rowdy Boy.' Everybody knows that there's a lot of work going on in our studio, a lot of back-to-back releases and all that. Generally, the hero of a film would call and say, 'Is this ready? Is that ready?' But five days before the release, he sent me a big message saying, 'I hope you're sleeping and taking rest because that is most important.' That shows the heart of Vijay Devarakonda,' said Anirudh. The composer then assured that Kingdom would become a milestone film. 'I generally don't say this if I don't like it. But I watched the film. This is going to be a milestone in VD's career and all our careers.' Anirudh ended his short and sweet speech by thanking the Telugu audiences for their love and support since his debut film, 2012's 3. Anirudh then took the crowd by surprise by speaking in Telugu. 'Naa Telugu family. Nanni mee vadu cheskunnaru. Meeru naavaalu aipoyaarru.. Eppatikki, nenu mee Anirudh, also known as 'Bakkodu' ('My Telugu family, you made me yours. You all became mine. I am always your Anirudh, also known as 'Bakkodu'). This portion of the speech has gone viral on social media, especially since Anirudh is jovially referred to as 'Bakkodu' (a slang term that means 'Thin guy') by the Telugu audiences. Kingdom is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film also stars Satyadev, Manish Chaudhari, Venkitesh, and Baburaj in supporting roles. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 31. Here's Anirudh's speech at the event:
