Sithara Entertainment's announcement comes just a day before the release of its much awaited explosive action entertainer Kingdom, featuring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead.
The project announcement poster of the new film that was shared by the production house gives the impression that this will be a period film and that it will be high on action.
The poster, which has the caption "The land burned a rebel rose", shows a cannon surrounded by bayonets aiming for an army on the other side. The fact that the makers have already announced that this will be the tale of a rebel has sparked off speculation that this will be a historical film set in 18th century in Bengal.
For Rishab Shetty, this will be a significant film as it will mark his debut in Telugu. Shooting for Shetty's eagerly awaited Kantara:Chapter 1, the prequel to the immensely popular pan Indian blockbuster Kantara, has already been wrapped.
It may be recalled that only 10 days ago, Hombale Films, the production house producing Kantara:Chapter 1, had announced that they had wrapped up the film and had also released a glimpse video. The production house had then said, "Wrap Up… The Journey Begins. Presenting #WorldOfKantara ~ A Glimpse into the making. #KantaraChapter1 has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit. Can't wait to see you all in theatres on October 2nd, as this legendary tale unfolds on big screens worldwide."
For those unaware, director Ashwin Gangaraju is best known for having made the Telugu film Aakashavaani, featuring Samuthirakani, Vinay Varma and Teja Kakumanu in the lead. The film, which was originally scheduled for a theatrical release, had to be released on OTT due to the Covid pandemic.

Isha Koppikar recalls being humiliated by South choreographer in her debut film: 'These girls come from Bollywood, they don't know anything'
Before establishing herself in Bollywood with roles in films like Shah Rukh Khan's Don and Ram Gopal Varma's Company, Isha Koppikar faced a bruising start to her acting journey in the South film industry. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about being humiliated by a choreographer during her debut Telugu film W/o V. Vara Prasad (1997), where she had appeared in a song sequence. Sharing the incident, Isha told Digital Commentary, 'It happened in South. And it was just the beginning. I already had two films. So, it was before Bollywood. When I was on the set, there was a lot of dance. You know South dance. They're not easy.' The choreographer, she recalled, publicly shamed her on set in front of the entire unit, accusing her of being a clueless Bollywood import. 'He told me in front of everyone, 'These girls come from Bollywood. They don't know anything. I don't know why they take them... If you don't know dance, then why did you come here?'' 'I cried in my van... then I called Usha ji' Isha said she was devastated by the criticism. 'I felt very bad. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The Most Beautiful Female Athletes Right Now Undo I felt humiliated. I went into my make-up van and I cried.' But instead of letting the moment defeat her, she turned it into a motivator. 'I took it as a challenge. I said next time when I come to the South, I will dance very well. I will not give anyone a chance to speak like this.' Remember 'Khallas' girl Isha Koppikar? Diva clicked at airport, asks paps 'Neend nahi aati?' Determined to improve, she reached out to Saroj Khan's assistant Usha ji. 'I told Usha ji, 'I want to learn dance. You come and teach me all the songs of Saroj ji.' She took out time and came to my house in Mahim and taught me daily.' Isha trained on classic Bollywood numbers like Taal Se Taal Mila and Mujhe Rang De, which she says covered all the major moves used in the industry. How Khallas changed the game Despite all the dance training, Isha notes that ironically, her breakthrough item number Khallas in Company didn't have too much choreography. 'If you look at it, there is not much dance in Khallas, but people felt that I know how to dance. Because I had gained confidence. A lot of confidence.' She credited Khallas director Ram Gopal Varma and choreographer Ganesh Acharya for giving her the confidence to shine. 'Ramu came to me and said, 'I have made this set for you. You should feel that this is your father's set. I want such an attitude.' So I said, 'Okay. If it is my father's, then I will bring the same attitude.' And then Khallas happened and magic happened.'

Kingdom box office collection day 7: Vijay Deverakonda film fails to keep up, earns ₹1 crore
Kingdom box office collection day 7: Gowtam Tinnanuri's Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, Satyadev, Venkitesh, and Bhagyashri Borse, hit theatres last Thursday, after facing several delays. After a decent start, the film has been struggling to pick up numbers over its first week. As per the latest update on Sacnilk, the film is yet to cross the ₹50 crore mark. (Also read: 'Only promoted a legal gaming app': Vijay Deverakonda clarifies after ED appearance in betting app case) Kingdom box office collection day 7: Vijay Deverakonda's film is also set to have a sequel. Kingdom latest box office update As per the report, Kingdom minted ₹ 1.05 crore in its seventh day of release, its lowest so far. Kingdom made an opening day haul of ₹18 crore on 31 July, but since then the film has not been able to surpass that figure in the next few days. Even the weekend collections were not in double digits. The overall collections now stand at ₹ 45.7 crore. Kingdom had an overall 12.80% Telugu Occupancy on Wednesday. About Kingdom Kingdom tells the story of a police constable named Suri (Vijay) who agrees to go on an undercover mission in Sri Lanka in hopes of finding his long-lost brother Siva (Satyadev). Anirudh Ravichander composed the music and background score of the film. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. An excerpt from the Hindustan Times review of the film read, 'Vijay finally gets his redemption arc with Kingdom, both as an actor and character. After a long time, you see the theatre actor and the star in him come out. There might be moments where he fumbles, but he quickly finds his footing and plays the varied shades well. Particularly when it comes to the equation with a pitch-perfect Satyadev as Siva. Suri and Siva's relationship forms the heart of this tale, and Gowtam brings in tiny nuances to make it believable.'
