Kingdom latest box office update
As per the report, Kingdom minted ₹ 1.05 crore in its seventh day of release, its lowest so far. Kingdom made an opening day haul of ₹18 crore on 31 July, but since then the film has not been able to surpass that figure in the next few days. Even the weekend collections were not in double digits. The overall collections now stand at ₹ 45.7 crore.
Kingdom had an overall 12.80% Telugu Occupancy on Wednesday.
About Kingdom
Kingdom tells the story of a police constable named Suri (Vijay) who agrees to go on an undercover mission in Sri Lanka in hopes of finding his long-lost brother Siva (Satyadev). Anirudh Ravichander composed the music and background score of the film. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
An excerpt from the Hindustan Times review of the film read, 'Vijay finally gets his redemption arc with Kingdom, both as an actor and character. After a long time, you see the theatre actor and the star in him come out. There might be moments where he fumbles, but he quickly finds his footing and plays the varied shades well. Particularly when it comes to the equation with a pitch-perfect Satyadev as Siva. Suri and Siva's relationship forms the heart of this tale, and Gowtam brings in tiny nuances to make it believable.'

Mayasabha Twitter review: Deva Katta's gripping political drama strikes a chord

Mayasabha: The Rise of the Titans, which premiered on SonyLIV on August 7, is already making waves online. Directed by Deva Katta and Kiran Jay Kumar, the Telugu political thriller has earned praise for its gripping narrative, layered characters and compelling performances. Set in the politically charged landscape of 1990s Andhra Pradesh, the series traces the journey of two powerful leaders: Kakarla Krishnama Naidu and Ms Rami Reddy, as their friendship slowly turns into a fierce political rivalry. Aadhi Pinisetty and Chaitanya Rao lead the cast, with the show delving into themes of power, ambition and betrayal. Though Mayasabha opens with a disclaimer denying any resemblance to real-life figures, viewers have drawn parallels with major Andhra politicians like N T Rama Rao, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, and N Chandrababu Naidu. Soon after its debut, the series began trending on X, with viewers praising its intense storytelling and bold writing. Filmmaker Pavan Sadineni called Mayasabha 'easily one of the best political dramas,' applauding its unapologetically honest approach. 'Brilliantly crafted! As a fictional story, it works to the core… Kudos to Deva Katta for his impeccable direction & writing. Take a bow!' Another viewer wrote, 'Just finished watching Mayasabha. Missed your writing all these days @devakatta. Backed by fiery performances from Aadhi Pinisetty, Chaitanya Rao & others. Brilliant writing, screenplay — must watch.' Some viewers also described the show as a 'nuanced peek into the political evolution of a state,' calling it a must-watch for Telugu audiences. While a few noted that the narrative dips in pace during the middle episodes, they also highlighted how the performances and high-stakes moments bring it back on track. 'It kicks off with a bang… and gets better towards the end,' one user wrote. 'Just completed Mayasabha. Every character has been given importance. I especially liked the portrayal of CBN and YSR. Both gave life to those characters,' a user reviewed.

Shruti Haasan Says Role in THIS Dhanush Film Saved Her Career: 'Acting Opposite Him…'

At a career crossroads, Shruti Haasan found a game‑changer in 3, thanks to the faith and support of Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Shruti Haasan was going through a tough patch in her career when 3 came her way. Before landing the role of Janani in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 2012 romantic tragedy, the actor had faced a string of flops across industries — including Luck in Hindi and Anaganaga O Dheerudu in Telugu. But 3, starring Dhanush and directed by his then-wife Aishwarya, gave Shruti something she hadn't felt in a long time: belief. 'There was a lot of faith (in me) from the team and a lot of support," Shruti shared in a recent chat with Galatta Plus. 'Acting opposite Dhanush definitely helped. He's a really supportive co-star, especially at that time in my life. I had a lot of doubts, so he was very encouraging, he and Aishwarya (Rajinikanth). My role was so pivotal to the story, too. I always perform under pressure when I'm given responsibility. I realised that then, and the wall broke. After that, my personality also changed a lot." When 3 first hit theatres, it received mixed reviews and modest box office returns. But over time, the film found a devoted audience. The now-iconic Kolaveri Di song became a cultural moment — but for Shruti, the film meant much more than a viral hit. In another interview with Prema last month, she reflected on the film's long-term impact. 'I wish 3 was a more commercial success. I feel like if that film were released now, it would've been a rage. Much bigger than just the Kolaveri song." As 3 gained its cult status, Shruti's career took a turn for the better. And more than a decade later, she's gearing up for a major release again — this time in Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film, which features an all-star cast including Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Nagarjuna, and Soubin Shahir, hits theatres on 14 August. Dhanush, meanwhile, is juggling multiple roles in his upcoming film Idly Kadai, where he writes, directs, produces, and stars alongside Nithya Menen. He also reunites with Raanjhanaa director Aanand L Rai for Tere Ishk Mein, co-starring Kriti Sanon. Rashmika Mandanna on facing trolls Rashmika mentioned that she is wary of showing how emotional and real she is in public because these days, kindness is perceived as fake. She said, 'I know that I am a very emotional person and a very real person. If you can't be kind, then just don't say anything. Let people breathe. Why do you have to suffocate people? Why do you have to strangle people to grow? No, let all of us grow. It's fine. The world's so big, there's room for all of us,' said Rashmika. She also stated that she feels stuck in a 'loop'of healing through negativity, only for something to happen again.
