According to initial suspicion, the teens were handling a firearm belonging to one of their parents in an open area when one of them was shot and is classified as in critical condition.
Rishon LeZion police launched the investigation after receiving a report of a teenage boy found in critical condition, according to medical officials, from a gunshot wound.
At this stage, the possibility of a nationalistic or terror motive has been ruled out, and the investigation is ongoing.

'We in boulder have the power to change our polarized nation together. Let us show the world how we respond to hate. Murder charge after woman found dead in flat
A man has been charged with murder after a 47-year-old woman was found dead in a flat. Police were called to the property on Ashe Place, in Normanton, Derby, at about 11:30 BST on Thursday and arrested a man. On Sunday, Derbyshire Police said Thomas Turner, 63, had been charged with murder. Mr Turner, of no fixed address, was to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Monday, the force said.
