Alarcón started against Defensa y Justicia, playing in place of the Basque Ander Herrera, who was left out of the team due to a muscle injury.
The Chilean has been an important piece for Fernando Gago and had played in all the matches of the season, with the only exception of the match against Aldosivi, where he was on the bench.
The injury unfortunately puts the brakes on the good start Alarcón had since his arrival at Boca, and leaves Gago without an important piece, at a time when the team is on the rise.
Meanwhile, Xeneize leaves behind the temporary setback caused by the elimination from the Copa Libertadores 2025, the team is starting to find itself and consolidate, and with six consecutive victories in the local tournament, it firmly plants its flag to fight for the title.
