Fellhauer fulfils Bundesliga dream with Augsburg move
Augsburg have signed midfielder Robin Fellhauer who will play in the Bundesliga for the first time in his career after narrowly missing promotion with Elversberg last season.
Augsburg said that the 27-year-old Fellhauer has signed a four-year contract until 2029. No financial details were given.

Fellhauer was a key player and captain at Elversberg, where he played for almost six years. In May they lost a promotion/relegation play-off tie against Heidenheim after coming third in the second division.
The former German junior teams international can play in midfield but also as full back and centre back, which gives new Augsburg coach Sandro Wagner several options.
'Robin fits our profile perfectly. He's hard-working and strong in the challenge. He's flexible and also brings quality going forward," Augsburg CEO Michael Ströll said, naming Fellhauer "one of the best players in last season's second division.'
Fellhauer said: 'My number one aim has always been to play in the Bundesliga. It's huge for me to have been able to fulfil this dream. I'm looking forward to this new challenge at an established Bundesliga side.

Slot says Liverpool set to sign teenage Italian defender but won't comment on Guehi
LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Liverpool manager Arne Slot confirmed on Thursday an agreement reached with Parma to sign teenage defender Giovanni Leoni. Slot, however, refused to discuss any potential deal for another center back — England international Marc Guehi — and said any comments would need to come from his club, Crystal Palace. The 18-year-old Leoni previously played for Padova and Sampdoria before impressing at Parma after joining in the offseason of 2024. He is an Italy Under-19 international. 'The clubs have agreed (on) a deal but he hasn't signed for us yet,' Slot said of Leoni, 'so the moment when he signs for us, I can go into more detail.' On a possible deal for Guehi, who has one year left on his contract at Palace, Slot was more circumspect. He didn't mention the player's name specifically but did say 'unfortunately he was the captain of the team who we lost against last Sunday' — referring to Liverpool losing to Palace in the Community Shield on Sunday. 'If you want to have any talks about him, you should go to Palace and (manager Oliver) Glasner and ask his opinion about it,' Slot said at a news conference ahead of the first match of Liverpool's Premier League title defense, at home to Bournemouth on Friday. ___ AP soccer: The Associated Press

Report – Fulham Star's Transfer To Atalanta Could Unlock Long-Awaited Inter Milan Deal For Lookman
Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz joining Atalanta could finally unlock the transfer of Ademola Lookman to Inter Milan. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The transfer saga between Inter, Atalanta, and Ademola Lookman continues to drag on. As the Gazzetta note, the Nerazzurri and La Dea are still waiting to contact each other for another round of talks. In the meantime, though, Atalanta are working on another big piece of transfer business. The Bergamo club are pushing to sign Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz. Fulham are asking for €50 million to sell the Brazilian. Meanwhile, Atalanta are offering €40 million plus add-ons. Rodrigo Muniz To Atalanta Could Unlock Ademola Lookman To Inter BERGAMO, ITALY – JANUARY 18: Ademola Lookman of Atalanta BC looks on during the Serie A match between Atalanta BC and SSC Napoli at Gewiss Stadium on January 18, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by) The Gazzetta dello Sport note that Rodrigo Muniz would be the player Atalanta see as the replacement for Mateo Retegui. Therefore, the 24-year-old would not exactly be the direct replacement for Ademola Lookman. However, the unexpected sale of Retegui has been one of the factors that has made Atalanta so reluctant to sell Lookman. La Dea have not wanted to further weaken their attacking options before replacing Retegui. Therefore, the Gazzetta anticipate, the arrival of Muniz could make Atalanta more open to selling Lookman. Accordingly, they could finally open up to Inter's offer for the Nigerian.
