Just in case yaha ki bijli chale jaaye, main kaagaz ke tukde pe bhi likhke laaya hu. Torch ke saath. Aur agar tab bhi mujhse mistake ho jaaye, to Papa hain na! (I'm very nervous because this is the first time I'm standing on stage in front of all of you. That's why I've been practicing this speech over and over again for the last two days and three nights. In fact, I'm so nervous that I've even put it on the teleprompter—just in case the electricity goes out here, I've also brought it written on a piece of paper. With a torch. And if even after all that I still make a mistake… well, my dad's here, right?)." Shah Rukh Khan got emotional as he introduced son Aryan Khan on stage for the first time, urging fans to shower him with 150% of the love he has received. Shah Rukh Khan is on cloud nine, not because he is coming up with a film but because it's the directorial debut of his son Aryan Khan. Today, for the very first time, he introduced his son on stage to address the press and talk about his show The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan got emotional and requested everyone to give his son 150% of the love they have given him over the years. While calling him on stage to talk to the media, Shah Rukh Khan said, 'Main bohot shukraguzaar hoon Mumbai ki is pavitra dharti ka, is desh ki pavitra dharti ka, jisne mujhe mauka diya ki main aap logon ko 30 saal tak entertain karne ki koshish kar sakun. Aaj bohot khaas din hai, kyunki isi pavitra dharti par mera beta bhi apna pehla kadam rakh raha hai. Bohot accha ladka hai. (I am deeply grateful to the sacred land of Mumbai, to the sacred land of this country, which gave me the opportunity to try and entertain you all for 30 years. Today is a very special day because on this very land, my son is taking his first step. He's a very good boy.)" Aur un taaliyon mein thodi si dua bhi rakhna, thodi si prarthna bhi rakhna. Aur jaise ki maine aapse pichli baar kaha tha, jo pyaar aap logon ne mujhe diya hai, uska 150% aap use dena. (So today, when he comes before you, and if you like his work, please applaud for him. And in those applauses, keep a little blessing, a little prayer too. And as I had told you earlier, the love you have given me, give him 150% of that.)" The preview of The Ba***ds of Bollywood hints at a show that's fast-paced, set in a stylised yet chaotic world, laced with self-aware humour, and a tongue-in-cheek tone. It's the ultimate underdog story that asks: how far will you go for your dream, what are you willing to lose, and can you survive a few Bollywood baddies along the way (pun totally intended!) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) The preview introduces the cast of the show, including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor. We also see Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh making a special appearance in Aryan Khan's show. Watch the preview here: Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan also reflected on the pride of watching a new voice emerge. 'It's a proud moment to see Aryan carve out his vision with such clarity and edge. This is storytelling that's sharp, self-aware, and unapologetically bold, and I think audiences on Netflix will connect to the heart of it as much as its style," he said during the preview launch. Monika Shergill, Vice-President – Content, Netflix India, also shared, 'When Aryan Khan shared his vision for his directorial debut, we knew we were setting the stage for something special and disruptive. Ba***ds is witty, bold, and unlike anything audiences have seen before – a true roast-and-toast to Bollywood. It's a story bursting with love, drama, passion, ambition, family, and friendship. This series is a shining addition to our diverse slate, and we're proud to continue our journey with the supremely talented team of Red Chillies Entertainment, and with Shah Rukh Khan, whose creative legacy continues to inspire millions around the world."
