Duran cost Villa £14.5million when Emery signed him from Chicago Fire in January, 2023.
And Villa made a cool £50million profit when they sold him to Saudi giants Al-Nassr two years later.
Redmond's contract with Feyenoord expires at the end of June and Villa have beaten off interest from several clubs in the Premier League and across Europe.
But the kid who can play as a striker or on the wing is poised to join Villa on a four-year deal.
Emery has been looking to add a young forward to Villa's ranks since Duran was sold in January.
Redmond has made nine senior appearances for Feyenoord and made his first team debut in November during a 4-1 win over Almere City in the Eredivisie.
He went on to feature in the club's next two league matches and scored both of his side's goals in a 2-1 victory over MVV Maastricht in the KNVB Cup on December 17.
Two months later, he made his Champions League debut, starting in a league phase clash against AC Milan at the San Siro, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Alejandro Garnacho aims pointed dig at Man United's nightmare post-season tour as Ruben Amorim's squad return home from Asia
Alejandro Garnacho has taken a dig at Manchester United 's post-season tour after a disastrous trip to Asia. The Argentine, who looks set to leave Old Trafford in the summer after a spat with Ruben Amorim, was the centre of attention during United's ill-fated visit to Malaysia and Hong Kong. Just last week he was brutally warned by Amorim that he needs to 'pray' he can find a new club in front of team-mates after he complained about being benched in United's Europa League final loss to Tottenham But he travelled with the United squad, who jetted off to Asia just hours after succumbing to a 15th place Premier League finish on Sunday - their lowest since relegation in 1974. Garnacho featured in both fixtures including United's humiliating 1-0 friendly defeat to exhibition side ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday. They had to come from behind against Hong Kong to prevent further embarassment on Friday. After touching down in Manchester on Saturday, Garnacho took to Instagram to express his relief that the nightmare tour was over. Posting a picture of an airport runway after the tour's conclusion, the 20-year-old wrote 'finally'. It comes just a day after footage emerged of the forward involved in an altercation with a fan in Kuala Lumpur. He appeared to 'push' a supporter as he walked through the city. The video, first posted on TikTok, shows a moody Garnacho, wearing sunglasses and a golden chain, ignoring the fan as he asks if he prefers Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. 'Bro, you pushed me,' the shocked supporter then exclaims. with the forward walking off. It is unclear from the footage whether or not the fan is in fact pushed by Garnacho. Team-mate Amad Diallo was also in hot water after he raised his middle fingers at a supporter as the players left a hotel in Malaysia. The Ivorian rushed to social media to admit he did not regret making the gesture and that it was in response to someone who shouted personal abuse relating to his mother. 'I have respect for people but not for the one who insults my mom…' he said on X. 'I shouldn't have reacted like that but I don't regret what I did. 'We had a great time in Malaysia with good people.' The Red Devils' tour was also marred by reports that Bruno Fernandes is considering a shock move to Saudi side Al-Hilal, while they also look set to miss out on on long-term target Liam Delap. Tension between the Garnacho and Amorim skyrocketed after the Argentine hit out at his boss for benching him in their Europa League final. He only played for 20 minutes after coming on from the bench and the 20-year-old failed to hide his frustration with Amorim as he admitted it had been a 's***' season for the club. His brother and agent added fuel to the fire by posting on Instagram that the winger had been 'thrown under the bus' by the Portuguese boss. His partner posted a picture of a baby-sized United kit alongside the words 'last match' Garnacho was then left out of United's squad for their final game of the season against Villa His partner appeared to confirm his departure with a cryptic two-word message to fans on social media just hours before the Villa encounter. She posted a picture of a baby-sized United kit alongside the words 'last match', accompanied by a tearful emoji and a heart on Instagram. A sale would represent pure profit under financial fair play rules, as the winger came through the club's academy system. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Amad urged Garnacho to stay at United next season despite his fiery dispute with Amorim. Speaking ahead of their friendly against Hong Kong, Amad leapt to Garnacho's defence, claiming the dispute is not an issue for the team. The Ivorian said: 'Alejandro is a really good player and we need good players in the team. I know Garna really well, so I hope to have Garna next season.

Sir Alex Ferguson arrives at Champions League final with Gary Neville as £2m-a-year Man Utd role comes to an end
Legendary ex-boss hoping for more exciting watch than Red Devils' Europa league loss FERGIE FINALE Sir Alex Ferguson arrives at Champions League final with Gary Neville as £2m-a-year Man Utd role comes to an end Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SIR ALEX FERGUSON is preparing for a new chapter in his life - by watching Paris Saint-Germain attempt to write the greatest one in their history. The legendary ex-Manchester United boss arrived at Bayern Munich with Gary Neville as PSG bid to finally win the Champions League. So far it's not been the final flourish the Red Devils' most famous ever manager would have liked. He was in Bilbao to see United's 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the Europa League showpiece on May 21. And tat's after he lost his £2million-a-year position at Old Trafford - as part of huge cost-cutting from United's minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, it certainly wasn't personal as Ratcliffe and his company unveiled nearly 500 redundancies in all. Meanwhile, there's also major investment planned for the future - most notably for a new £2billion 100,000-seat stadium. Ferguson's glittering 26 years in charge contrasts with everything that has followed since his managerial retirement in 2013. Fergie guided United to 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns. Now the ex-England defender, 50, is a TV pundit - while it's unclear if Fergie will have another direct job in football. At least the duo beat traffic mayhem to arrive at the final in good time. It follows chaos at a Munich station caused by fighting between rival groups of fans.

Liverpool sent 'bullying' message after transfer - 'I wouldn't have taken it'
Liverpool agreed terms on a deal worth £10million to allow Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Real Madrid early - but one pundit believes the Reds should have played hardball Liverpool have been told they should have stuck to their guns rather than caving into the 'bullies' at Real Madrid after accepting an offer from the Spanish giants for Trent Alexander-Arnold earlier this week. The Reds right-back, 26, announced at the start of the month he would not be renewing his contract at Anfield. Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the England star were due to sign him for free at the end of next month. But with Los Blancos desperate to have their marquee summer signing available for the upcoming Fifa Club World Cup, Real and Liverpool agreed terms on a financial package which - taking into account saved wages - will bank the Reds around £10million. While Liverpool will now add a sizeable sum to their summer transfer budget for a player who was due to leave for free, Gabby Agbonlahor has criticised the Premier League champions over the deal. The former Aston Villa man says he would have refused to do a deal over Alexander-Arnold and forced the England star to miss the start of the Club World Cup. He said: "Do you know what I would have done? I would have loved it - and I'm sure Liverpool fans would agree - (had they said) stuff you, you've gone after our player sneakily, you've made a deal for him to say he's going to Real Madrid, you've cost us £100m, he's a £100m player at a great age, you can wait until July 1 and he's going to miss two games of the Club World Cup, how about that? "You think you can bully everyone, Real Madrid, biggest club in the world, but you're not bullying Liverpool." The talkSPORT pundit continued: "Yes, £10m [is] great money, it can go towards transfers. But sometimes I look at it and think wouldn't it be nice if Liverpool said, 'Nah, he's not going to play a game for you until July 1'. "You you think you can get anything you want, Real Madrid. You've got (Kylian) Mbappe on a free transfer, you've got Trent on a free, and now you want him you're offering £10m for a £100m player." Alexander-Arnold will now be free to feature for Los Blancos when they face Al-Hilal in their first match of the tournament next month. The boyhood Reds fan has signed a six-year deal with the Spanish giants and will officially become a Real Madrid player when the transfer window opens on June 1.
