Sydney Sweeney Reveals Glen Powell Helped Her Land a Gig

Sydney Sweeney couldn't stop fangirling over Tate McRae as she gushed about how Glen Powell helped them connect. The actor revealed that Powell helped her land the gig with McRae on her new music video during her recent appearance on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.' The host, Clarkson, teased the subject, questioning Sweeney about how she nabbed the opportunity to work with the singer, prompting her to rave about her former co-star's role. Glen Powell played a major role in Sydney Sweeney and Tate McRae's collaboration in 'Miss Possessive.' During her appearance on Kelly Clarkson's talk show, Sweeney lavished praise on her 'Anyone But You' co-star for helping her connect with the singer. In the episode, Clarkson seemed too curious about the duo's iconic joint endeavour in the song, triggering the discussion about Powell's involvement and how it possibly couldn't have happened without him. 'You were on a Tate McRae song, how did that happen?' the host asked Sweeney, who was thrilled to answer. She revealed being McRae's and her music's 'huge fan,' but admitted to not knowing her before that. 'I think she's so beyond talented, and she's so hot,' the Emmy-nominated star raved about the singer, ultimately dishing that Powell 'connected' them. She explained, 'He was like, 'Hey, Tate wants me to connect you two. Can I give her your number?' I said, 'Yeah sure.'' Acknowledging Glen Powell's role in the collaboration, Sydney Sweeney shared that Tate McRae reached out to her soon after. The latter reportedly requested a sample of her voice for her latest album. Both Clarkson and Sweeney unanimously agreed that it was 'so cool' she got to work with the musician, and all fans have Powell to thank for the epic collab. 'Miss Possessive' is the opening track of the 'So Close to What' album. It features a brief portion with Sweeney, saying, 'No, seriously, get your hands off my man.' The revelation came days after Powell's rumored ex, Gigi Paris, seemingly broke her silence on their highly publicized breakup. Paris appeared on the 'Too Much' podcast and talked about a former boyfriend without taking names, revealing she knew exactly when to walk away. Originally reported by Nikita Mahato on Reality Tea. Sydney Sweeney Reveals How Glen Powell Helped Her Bag Tate McRae Song Gig

Sydney Sweeney recently opened up about how her unexpected appearance on a Tate McRae song came about. While appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Anyone But You actress revealed that her co-star was the one who introduced her to McRae. This ultimately led to her feature on the track 'Miss Possessive.' Here's how Sydney Sweeney ended up on a Tate McRae song. Sydney Sweeney recently shared the backstory behind her unexpected feature on Tate McRae's song 'Miss Possessive.' She credited her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell for making the connection happen. During a guest appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson asked how the collaboration happened and whether Sweeney already knew McRae. Sweeney admitted she had long admired McRae's work, saying, 'So, I have been a huge fan of her music. I think she's so beyond talented and she's so hot.' She went on to explain how collaboration came together after Powell acted as the go-between. According to Sweeney, 'Glen actually connected me with her. He was like, 'Hey, Tate wants me to connect you two. Can I give her your number?' I said, 'Yeah, sure.'' Following that introduction, McRae contacted Sweeney and asked her to send a voice recording for her upcoming album. The actress said, 'She reached out and was like, 'Hey, I really would love to sample your voice for a portion of my song on my new album. Would you be down?' And I'm like 'Hell yes.'' Sweeney saying, 'No, seriously, get your hands off my man,' became the opening line of the album's first track, 'Miss Possessive,' which appears on McRae's So Close to What. The moment quickly became a highlight for fans, who were surprised to hear Sweeney's voice on the song. Both Clarkson and Sweeney agreed that the collaboration was a 'cool' moment, with the actress clearly thrilled to be involved. The revelation arrived just as Powell's ex, Gigi Paris, appeared to break her silence about their breakup. Gigi Paris breaks silence on how Sydney Sweeney dating rumors fueled Glen Powell split

Gigi Paris breaks silence on how Sydney Sweeney dating rumors fueled Glen Powell split Show Caption Hide Caption Glen Powell reveals 'mental health' reason he left LA for Austin Glen Powell, while promoting his new film "Hit Man," tells USA TODAY's Brian Truitt why he moved back to Austin, Texas, from Los Angeles. If you were on the internet during the "Anyone but You" press tour, it was hard to make it two scrolls without running into a theory about Glenn Powell and Sydney Sweeney dating. The co-stars, both engaged to other people at the time, were being "shipped" left and right as photos emerged of the two on set looking cozy (a likely thing for two rom-com stars to be mid-shoot), and neither party opted to shut down the rumors. A time-honored tradition in Hollywood, the fervor around the possibility of a real-life romance drove box office sales for the fake romance. But it wasn't without collateral damage. Glen Powell admits Sydney Sweeney affair rumors 'worked wonderfully' for 'Anyone But You' In 2023, Powell and his fiancée, Gigi Paris, called it quits. Now, Paris is speaking out about how the movie contributed to their downfall. Speaking to host Emma Paige on the "Too Much" podcast June 10, Paris said she first became aware of the rumors online and told Powell, "the whole world is watching" and to "proceed with caution, please." He didn't receive that well, she said, and the relationship began to deteriorate from there. She revealed she was once scheduled to meet him in Australia, where "Anyone but You" was filming, when Powell called to tell her, "The producers and I have discussed that I think it's best that you don't come to visit." 'Anyone But You': Glen Powell calls Sydney Sweeney the 'Miss Congeniality of Australia' "I think that's when I just also fell out of love," she said, explaining that she broke it off with him shortly after, only to later learn that he and Sweeney had been encouraging the speculation to help with the film. "The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry," Powell said in an interview with the New York Times that published a year after their split. "That's people wanting what's on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully. Sydney is very smart." "I don't know if there was a relationship there or not, but then they came out to say it was all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship," Paris said on the podcast. "I just wanted respect, especially if it's going to be public," she continued, "Like, just don't make a fool out of someone you've been with for over three years, talking about forever with. Just have some decency." Sweeney has since split with fiancé Jonathan Davino, only adding fuel to the still-burning dating rumors between her and Powell.
