A BRIT living in Benidorm has revealed that the holiday destination is virtually deserted as tourists have been 'priced out' of the party resort.
Harry Poulton regularly shares his travel tips and advice about the Spanish destination with his 46,700 followers on TikTok.

In one recent clip, which has racked up 127,000 views and over a thousand likes, he reveals that Benidorm could be 'finished' - as it stands empty this summer.
And he explained that tourists might be staying away because the holiday spot is becoming too expensive.
The 24-year-old begins by asking: 'Is Benidorm finished?"
He continues: 'Where is everybody? It's the middle of July, and it's absolutely dead.
'Normally at this time of year, Benidorm's mental – it's busy, there are people absolutely everywhere.
'I've just been walking down the beach; no one.
'I've been down the Benidorm strip; hardly anyone there.
'Bars aren't even that busy – what's going on?
'Is everyone going to Tenerife now? I've only been away a week.'
Harry, from Brighton, said that he 'can't believe' how quiet it is.

Even at peak time, around 7 pm, the streets are still bare, he said.
Brits flocked to the comments to explain what's been turning them away - and many had the same story.
Ivan said: 'Have to say hotels are getting more and more expensive. Crazy prices."
Anthony added: 'Everyone is going to Salou, Spain.'
A lady called Jane commented: 'It's got too expensive."
Rich said: 'People are fed up with being robbed, mate.'

And Jan said: 'Getting too expensive. Used to be my go-to holiday.
"However, I cannot afford Benidorm this year. Other Spanish places half the price."
In another clip, racking up 14,000 views and hundreds of likes, Harry reveals that he has the same feeling.
The content creator says: 'Benidorm is getting expensive.
'Is it just me that feels this way? Especially the accommodation.
'Everything this year has gone so much more than last year.
'I'm not the only one that feels this way.'
One comment which says that it costs almost £1,000 for a single room for a week, to which Harry said: 'Ouch, that's got to hurt.
'Don't get me wrong – eating out, drinking, all those sorts of things are still very reasonable, especially price-wise compared to the UK.
'Everything has got really expensive; not just in Benidorm, but in general.
'Is Benidorm falling off? Or is it just the world in general?
'Mad, really – what are holidays? What's a cheap holiday now?'

The guidelines tackle a broad spectrum of problems, ranging from attire standards and hygiene to sound disturbance and the responsible operation of bicycles and e-scooters. ‌ Tourists are being urged to remain considerate and behave in a manner that respects peaceful coexistence with residents of the local community. ‌ Additional measures highlighted by the council include the 'Keep the City Clean' drive, requesting visitors to utilise the rubbish bins available and the public conveniences scattered throughout the city, whilst also ensuring respect for historic sites, green spaces, and municipal amenities such as park seating. Local authorities have also emphasised the significance of refraining from shouting or blasting music during evening hours in residential neighbourhoods, advising tourists to "do not be conspicuous." Dressing suitably within the city represents another concern mentioned, with the council stating simply "dress completely." ‌ This likely refers to avoiding venturing into urban areas shirtless or in swimwear, as such clothing is only acceptable on the beach. A further aspect of the initiative concentrates on transportation, with the message "Sidewalks Are for Pedestrians," highlighting that cycles and scooters must stick to their designated routes. The initiative has received extensive promotion - across social media platforms, on buses and at every essential location throughout the city. Málaga has previously tackled reports of antisocial conduct by ramping up penalties for violations including dropping litter and excessive noise levels. ‌ The previous year also witnessed pandemonium surrounding overtourism in the city, with locals marching through the streets in protest against the deluge of visitors. Residents argued they were being forced out of their communities due to short-term holiday rentals, whilst also voicing concerns about disruptive behaviour and certain tourists' conduct. During the peak of the protests, some demonstrators even stuck anti-tourism stickers throughout the area, featuring messages such as "This used to be my home", "go f****** home", "stinking of tourist" and "this used to be the city centre," used. Protests regarding mass tourism and anti-tourism sentiment took place across Spain throughout 2024, with numerous campaigns continuing into 2025. In the opening quarter of 2025, Spain reportedly received 17.1 million overseas visitors. For the complete year of 2024, this number reached a record-shattering 94 million. Shoppers were full of jealousy after a TikTok user revealed food court offerings at a Costco in Japan. The TikToker, known as racquecitytravels, visited a Costco in Tokyo this month and ordered items like a 20-piece chicken stick bucket and matcha ice cream. 'If you have the time in your itinerary, I suggest spending an afternoon at your closest Costco trying out the different food court menu items & shopping around,' she wrote in her video caption. Other items commenters couldn't stop freaking out about on the food court menu included a jumbo Bulgogi Bake, melon smoothie, and the fan-favorite combo pizza, which has been discontinued in the US. Now that shoppers have gotten a hint of the location's menu, many of them are looking to visit Japan just to order one of its 'wild' offerings. 'I needed a reason to move … and this was the icing on the cake,' a commenter wrote. 'I would go into extreme debt shopping in the Japan Costco,' a shopper responded. 'Everything in Japan is just better than USA I'm starting to see that,' another Costco member added. Several TikTok users were stunned to see that matcha ice cream was available at Costco in Tokyo Out of over 900 Costco stores worldwide, Japan is home to nearly 40 locations as of this year. The first store opened in 1999 in Hisayama, Fukuoka Prefecture, and it wasn't an easy task in making sure it would be suitable for Japanese culture. 'We had to change some of our apparel. The sizing on men's shirts in Japan, Korea and Taiwan is entirely different,' Costco co-founder Jim Seinegal told the Seattle Times. 'Our Kirkland Signature shirt has an Asian cut to it, slimmer in the waist and smaller sizes.' Despite the changes, Costco was not afraid to bring some of its American-style menu options to menus, including its signature hot dogs. The Japanese stores are also full of Kirkland branded baked goods, which were described as a ' staple at Japanese supermarkets.' Besides the Tokyo store's scrumptious food court items, TikTokers went crazy for its toys, including its Godzilla figure. 'Godzilla figures at a Costco?! - I'm in the wrong country man,' a shopper commented. Several items ranging from KitKat bars to Godzilla toys are available to purchase at Costco stores in Japan Japan is currently home to nearly 40 stores. As of now, there are over 900 locations worldwide The US has the highest Costco store count worldwide, with more than 600 locations. Many of these stores have implemented changes recently that have ignited fury from shoppers. Backlash began last year after the chain hiked its membership prices for the first time in seven years. It got worse that December after the company announced its plan to replace Pepsi beverages with Coca-Cola. Some members claimed they'd boycott the store after the change was confirmed in January, and the situation worsened in March once the first Coca-Cola machine was spotted in a newly-opened California location.

And although he's entirely grateful for the show, he feels the writers need to go in a new direction after 'And Just Like That...' was slammed as "insufferable" by die-hard fans. In an exclusive chat with The U.S. Sun, he said, "Everything takes its time. It goes up, and then it goes down [in popularity]. We have to know and understand when it's time to go." He feels viewers would still love to see more of the iconic characters, but a different spin-off may work instead of continuing to focus on Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker. "Maybe taking the side of one of the characters and having this history behind of Sex and The City," he said. "But making something so clearly different.. somebody else come in with something new, you know? Really fresh, like the storyline has to be completely shattered. "And something that is meaningful nowadays. Everybody loved this show because everybody could relate. Let's have a show where really everyone can relate a little bit [more]." And Just Like That premiered in December 2021 and focuses on Carrie and friends Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York as they navigate life in their 50s in New York City. Fans were stunned to learn of the death of her husband, Big [played by Chris Noth], and actress Kim has only appeared in a cameo after bowing out of returning as a full-time cast member. The third season has seen Carrie struggle to work out her relationship with ex-fiance Aidan Shaw, who is dealing with family drama in Virginia. Despite its critics, Marini says he has loved seeing the main characters back on screen and would not turn down the opportunity to appear in the future. He said, "If I got the call… I'd run to it. Absolutely. I think one of the most amazing things that I had the chance to do in my life was Sex And The City." Asked about Kim's decision not to reprise her role, he added, "To each their own. Sometimes people want to start something, and then when they're done, they're done with it. "At the end of it, look at the career she has, I mean, everything she's done. She doesn't need [anything]. It's her decision, of course." He told The U.S. Sun had never seen the show before he was cast and had no idea at the time of the impact it had. Marini recalled, "Michael Patrick King, the director of the film, he said, 'Listen, when the movie comes out, your life will never be the same and your phone will never stop ringing'. And I'm like, why? Why is he saying that? And now I know why he said that. I had never watched the show before, and I think that was key in me getting the part." What was very interesting is when I developed that character in my mind, it was important for me for [women] to understand that this man is just not like .. he's gonna have sex with you. "No matter what, the moment spent with him will be unforgettable. "He loves what he does. He loves to be with women. And he's the near image in a way of Kim Cattrall's character a couple of years prior. "I needed to play him so that you're not ever threatened. [He's] just a guy that loves to make love. "I've never watched it back, but everybody sends me the scenes every day because ... guys and girls, whatever flavor, send me it, 'Oh look, it's in Korean, it's in Russian, it's in Spanish'. "Every time I hear myself in a different language, I can't resist. I have to post it. "I had never watched the show before, and I think that was key in me getting the part. "But it's an educational show for men. If you're a man and you watch Sex and The City, you understand a lot more the psyche of women. And you get along with them a lot better." Years on from the scene that set pulses racing, Marini has managed to keep his physique in top-tip shape, but said taking care of his health is important, it's not about being a pin-up. "I keep myself in shape because I like to be more of an inspiration than someone that's given up on [themselves]," he said. "I'm about to be 50 years old." Marini is still getting plenty of roles and is also working on a movie, telling The U.S. Sun he's happy to be back in action after the pandemic saw productions in Hollywood grind to a halt. "I'm very excited about the kind of reverse of Hollywood. It has to happen, he said. "Because it's been like really insane for a lot of people, including myself, since the pandemic. "Hollywood should be seen as the leader of everything [in movies]. The last time I shot something here was at Warner Bros. "And you could tell that it was not immensely busy. And that was not even a year ago. I want to work. I must export myself elsewhere. "I just shot a film with a beautiful Kym Johnson, one of the all-time leaders of everything in Dancing With the Stars, that I adore. "She's amazing. And she wanted to do a beautiful film, with dancing and Christmas and love. Christmas in a ballroom. We cannot wait. "It's was very sweet. It was cool. It was difficult for me because I went back to kind of dancing. [Bu] it went more than well. She's just phenomenal.
