American shoppers jealous after visiting Costco abroad... and sampling 'wild' food court menu items
The TikToker, known as racquecitytravels, visited a Costco in Tokyo this month and ordered items like a 20-piece chicken stick bucket and matcha ice cream.
'If you have the time in your itinerary, I suggest spending an afternoon at your closest Costco trying out the different food court menu items & shopping around,' she wrote in her video caption.
Other items commenters couldn't stop freaking out about on the food court menu included a jumbo Bulgogi Bake, melon smoothie, and the fan-favorite combo pizza, which has been discontinued in the US.
Now that shoppers have gotten a hint of the location's menu, many of them are looking to visit Japan just to order one of its 'wild' offerings.
'I needed a reason to move … and this was the icing on the cake,' a commenter wrote.
'I would go into extreme debt shopping in the Japan Costco,' a shopper responded.
'Everything in Japan is just better than USA I'm starting to see that,' another Costco member added.
Several TikTok users were stunned to see that matcha ice cream was available at Costco in Tokyo
Out of over 900 Costco stores worldwide, Japan is home to nearly 40 locations as of this year.
The first store opened in 1999 in Hisayama, Fukuoka Prefecture, and it wasn't an easy task in making sure it would be suitable for Japanese culture.
'We had to change some of our apparel. The sizing on men's shirts in Japan, Korea and Taiwan is entirely different,' Costco co-founder Jim Seinegal told the Seattle Times.
'Our Kirkland Signature shirt has an Asian cut to it, slimmer in the waist and smaller sizes.'
Despite the changes, Costco was not afraid to bring some of its American-style menu options to menus, including its signature hot dogs.
The Japanese stores are also full of Kirkland branded baked goods, which were described as a ' staple at Japanese supermarkets.'
Besides the Tokyo store's scrumptious food court items, TikTokers went crazy for its toys, including its Godzilla figure.
'Godzilla figures at a Costco?! - I'm in the wrong country man,' a shopper commented.
Several items ranging from KitKat bars to Godzilla toys are available to purchase at Costco stores in Japan
Japan is currently home to nearly 40 stores. As of now, there are over 900 locations worldwide
The US has the highest Costco store count worldwide, with more than 600 locations.
Many of these stores have implemented changes recently that have ignited fury from shoppers.
Backlash began last year after the chain hiked its membership prices for the first time in seven years.
It got worse that December after the company announced its plan to replace Pepsi beverages with Coca-Cola.
Some members claimed they'd boycott the store after the change was confirmed in January, and the situation worsened in March once the first Coca-Cola machine was spotted in a newly-opened California location.

Their polycule is formed of Taya's husband, Sean Hartless, his girlfriend Alysia Rodgers and her husband Tyler Rodgers, who is also Taya's boyfriend. Each couple married before joining their polycule and have welcomed three children since becoming their closed quad, and they have chosen not to learn the children's paternity. Alysia and Tyler are parents to two children, whom they welcomed before entering a relationship with Taya and Sean. Taya previously opened up on how her and Sean first met the other couple and decided to form a polycule. At first, the couples would meet up half way between their home towns, making 12 hour round trips to switch partners. 90 Day Fiance's low salaries, 'long' filming schedule & demanding reshoots revealed amid Happily Ever After fan backlash Their first night together, they attended an event before splitting into separate hotel rooms. According to the Meriam-Webster dictionary, a "polycule is a group of three or more people in intimate polyamorous (consensual non-monogamous) relationships with one another." However, not all members of a polycule are necessarily romantically or sexually involved. Taya explained that each night the two men switch bedrooms, however she and Alicia remain metamours, meaning they aren't romantically or sexually involved. Describing their unique set-up, Taya said they just "indulged in what our hearts told us and let our brains follow."

Liam Gallagher's cheeky reference after being filmed outside portaloo by fan
At the height of Oasis' fame in the 90s and 00s, the rock band were known to be big party animals. Liam Gallagher made a cheeky drug reference to fans who spotted him heading to a backstage portaloo toilet at Oasis Live 25' reunion tour. Never one to shy away from the camera, the 52-year-old waved to get fans' attention after he seen them filming him while he was outside the toilet. Alluding to his wild younger years, the Oasis star then mimicked snorting cocaine multiple times before heading into the toilet. At the height of Oasis' fame in the 90s and 00s, the rock band were known to be big party animals with drink and drugs being a huge part of their rock and roll star status. The Gallagher brothers have since scaled it down with their antics with Liam previously admitting he had stopped drinking ahead of their reunion tour in order to 'get healthy'. However, getting healthy does not mean he's lost his sense of humour as fans praised his light hearted nature after the clip was posted on TikTok by user 1981quarterpounder, the Metro reports. In the comments, one social media user joked: "What mysterious activity is he suggesting to us" while another wrote: "Just Liam being Liam." A third penned: "Never change. Honestly made me laugh so much." Meanwhile, other people were concerned the Oasis star was 'setting a bad example' for younger fans, sparking debate about his 'sense of humour'. One disapproving person remarked: "A good example for the young generation". Another fan responded to this comment, saying: "Not his job to bring kids up properly. Fair enough if he was straight up encouraging it but he's not so". Other fans argued Liam could have simply been struggling with hayfever or a cold and was miming blowing his nose instead. One joked: "He's trying to say he's going to blow his nose as his hayfever is giving him some grief… what else could he be saying?" Another chimed in: "Poor Liam suffering from hay fever, must be bad constantly blowing your nose when your trying to perform." Liam often made headlines back in the day for his tendency to overindulge in drugs and destroy one or two hotel rooms in his wake. Meanwhile, his older brother Noel, 58, who was generally seen as more reserved. Liam developed a reputation of causing a riot at after parties with drink and drugs fuelling his antics. He once smashed up the studio they were recording in with a cricket bat, which also ended up being used by Noel to whack his sibling on the head. In their Supersonic biography, Michael Spencer Jones, the photographer behind Oasis' first three album covers, said a local repairman declared they hadn't seen damage like that 'since Ozzy Osbourne and Sabbath were recording [t]here.' Speaking of the (What's The Story) Morning Glory album launch party, Liam said: "As soon as a line went up my nose, I could have been anywhere, mate". Speaking to The Guardian in 2017, the Champagne Supernova singer shared: "There are a few of my mates that ain't here no more, through drugs. There are a few that are in the nick. "So I think I wouldn't have got a proper job because I'm not that clever with that stuff. So I'd have been digging or dead or really badly into drugs, which would obviously lead to being dead. "Rock 'n' roll saved my life. And I am forever in debt. I am forever in debt to rock 'n' roll, and I would never, ever think of doing another form of music. Ever."

Has Law and the City been renewed for Season 2? Here's what we know:
Renewed Or Cancelled? Law and the City is the latest law drama, blending thriller and drama vibes alongside an enticing ensemble of characters at the helm. If you've been following this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here's what we know: What is Law and the City about? An Joo-Hyeong works as a lawyer, and he has the type of personality where he can be brutally honest to other people. He's never had a deep interest or dream of becoming a lawyer to protect the weak or carry out justice though. Joo-hyeong has worked for the same law firm for the past 9 years, and he's recognized at his firm for his work, receiving a record salary for an associate lawyer. However, he soon finds his peaceful world begin to crack… We have ongoing coverage of Law and the City across the site including recaps for the season. You can check those out HERE! Has Law and the City been renewed for season 2? At the time of writing, tvN have not renewed Law and the City for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it'll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up. The ratings began with a respectable 4.6% share nationwide but since then, the show has been increasing in popularity with every passing week, with the later episodes hovering around 5.8% nationwide. Regardless of ratings, it's extremely rare to find Korean dramas renewed for another season. That has changed in recent years but given the sheer wealth of talent in this that are sure to move onto other projects, we predict that Law and the City will not be renewed for a second season. However, should this change then we'll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available. What we know about season 2 so far: Barely anything is known about season 2 right now. Given most Korean dramas are reserved to one season, it's rare to find these sort of shows renewed. With the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed. Having said that though, we have seen Taxi Driver and Tale of the Nine Tailed renewed recently, alongside Alchemy of Souls too. Given how steady the ratings are for this series, could we see this one buck the trend? It seems very unlikely that Law and the City will, but you never know! We'll be sure to update this section when we know more. Would you like to see Law and the City return for a second season? Or do you think the story has run its course? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
