MP: Four Naxalites, Including Three Women, Killed In Balaghat Encounter
Security forces gunned down four Naxalites, including three women, in an encounter which took place in the hilly area of Pachama Dadar in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district, police said on Saturday.
Security forces also recovered a hand grenade, a rocket launcher, a 315 rifle and cartridges, Special DG Naxal, Pankaj Srivastava told ANI over the phone.
"Four Naxalites, including three women, have been neutralised in an encounter which took place in the hilly area of Pachama Dadar of Bithli police station. A hand grenade, a rocket launcher, a 315 rifle and cartridges have been recovered," Special DG Naxal told ANI.
Some Naxalites succeeded in escaping from the encounter site. The search operations for them are underway.
Additionally, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also confirmed the development, calling it a part of the state's continuing mission to eliminate Naxalism by March 2026.
"Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Madhya Pradesh is continuously working towards our resolve to end Naxalism by March 2026. 4 Naxalites have been killed in the encounter in Balaghat today, including 3 women and a man. Many weapons and ammunition, including rocket launcher, have been recovered from them," Yadav said.
MP CM Yadav said that the government will reward the personnel for their success in the incident.
"The Madhya Pradesh government will definitely reward the policemen who brought good results in this incident," Yadav said.
Earlier, Security forces neutralised two Naxals in an encounter in the forest area under Kukanar Police Station area of Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, police said.
According to Sukma Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan, automatic weapons were also recovered from the spot.

Party MLAs were given guidelines on the management of their assembly seats. During discussions on each of the assembly segments, the gathering was specifically told not to underestimate or neglect the ground workers of the party. Dr Mahendra Singh categorically mentioned that workers make MPs and MLAs, and it is on their hard work that govts are formed, so they should not feel mistreated or ignored. India, US close to finalising 'early tranche' of trade deal

Govt is likely to offer concessions for some of the farm products that are of interest to the US, along with concessions on automobiles, in return for getting a 10 per cent duty - Trump's baseline tariff - for labour-intensive products, such as textiles, footwear and, possibly, certain auto parts. With the current US administration lacking Congressional mandate to finalise trade deals, a zero-duty regime will have to wait until things settle down in the US. With a 10 per cent levy on products where India has a comparative advantage, the government is hoping to make Indian exports more competitive, especially if the reciprocal tariffs kick in. In any case, India, with 26 per cent reciprocal tariffs, including the 10 per cent baseline duty, was seen to enjoy a competitive advantage over several countries with which its exports compete. Besides, with sanitary and phytosanitary standards and technical barriers to trade also discussed during the last round of negotiations with American officials between June 4 and 10, the government is hoping that some of the issues faced by exporters shipping goods to the US will also be addressed. Digital trade, customs and trade facilitation and the legal framework were part of the discussions in the Capital earlier this month. Government sources indicated that India is keen for a text to be ready in some form before the deal is made public. This is seen to be crucial as the current US administration has been making announcements without the draft text in place and then claiming victory. Even the Chinese authorities have had to contend with the claims made by Trump on social media after the last dialogue. The announcement with the UK was seen to be more structured. By all accounts, several issues, including the court ruling on reciprocal tariffs for which Trump had invoked emergency provisions, will, however, play a part in finalising the early tranche for which a Fall (Sept/ Oct) date had been fixed. Besides, India is keen that an arrangement be worked out where it retains an advantage over its peers in case the tariffs are declared illegal by American courts. All 4 Naxals gunned down in Balaghat identified, carried rewards of Rs 56L
Jabalpur: All four alleged Naxalites including three women cadres killed in Balaghat encounter in the Pachama Dadar-Katejhiriya forests on Saturday, have been identified by the police. The operation was carried out by a joint team of Hawk Force, District Police Force, Cobra, and CRPF. A search operation is still underway in the area. Among the slain Naxalites was Rita alias Tubbi Shrirangu Hidami, a resident of Korchi tehsil in Maharashtra. She had 56 cases registered against her in Madhya Pradesh and carried a reward of Rs 14 lakh. The other was Ravi, a resident of West Bastar, Chhattisgarh. He had 23 criminal cases registered in MP and also carried a Rs 14 lakh reward. The other two female Naxalites were identified as Tulsi alias Vimala and Suman. Tulsi had 13 cases, and Suman had 10 cases registered against her. Both carried rewards of Rs 14 lakh each on their heads. This is the second major success for Balaghat police this year. On February 19, four female Naxalites, including a top commander with a Rs 62 lakh reward, were killed in an encounter near Raunda Forest Camp in the Soopkhar forest area of Kanha.
