For the unversed, The Crow is a modern reimagining of the 1990s The Crow movie series, serving as the fifth instalment in the franchise that include movies such as The Crow: Salvation and The Crow: Wicket Prayer. The 2024 movie is also the second cinematic adaptation of James O'Barr's namesake comic book which was published in 1989.
The 2024 reboot movie brings back the dark gothic tale of revenge to the new generation, following the tragic story of a musician who has been resurrected with superpowers to avenge his and his fiancee's brutal murders. While Skarsgård takes on the lead role of Eric Draven, FKA Twigs stars as his love interest Shelly Webster. The main antagonist is played by Danny Huston, who portrays the menacing Vincent Roeg. The cast list also includes other talents in key roles like Jordan Bolger, Isabella Wei, Josette Simon, Laura Birn, and Sami Bouajila.
Last year in August, while attending the premiere of The Crow in New York, Skarsgård told The Hollywood Reporter that the movie did not create any issue for him during the filming, physically, but emotionally it took a toll on him as he had to shoot for four months. The 35-year-old actor stated that he loves it when he gets consumed by the storyline and shooting process.

Bollywood star Aamir Khan, who will join the Indian soldiers at the border in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor as part of NDTV's Jai Jawan on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day, was quizzed about remaking his 2001 Oscar-nominated film Lagaan on the special programme. One of the soldiers asked the actor who could play his role of Bhuvan if the sports period drama, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, were to be remade today. Initially, Aamir Khan quipped, "Why will I let anyone else do it? I'll do it". After a bit of mulling over, the actor-filmmaker said, "I know the answer to this question. This is my choice that I'm sharing with you". And Aamir Khan's choice to lead a Lagaan remake was Vicky Kaushal. "I would have chosen Vicky Kaushal to play the role of Bhuvan... The character of Bhuvan, he has two-three qualities. He is very clean at heart and you feel the same when you look at Vicky. Dil ka sahi banda hai. Secondly, he (Bhuvan) has a lot of inner strength, he is like a mountain, pahaad ki chattaan.
