Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 2025 collection continues the brand's ‘soft power' vibe with the versatile LV Biker bag and hybrid Sneakerina, each blending elegance with functionality

Every season there are certain accessories that top every fashion editor's wish list. For spring/summer 2025, Louis Vuitton has pretty much monopolised those lists by creating not one but two covetable styles that are creating plenty of buzz.
Hot on the heels of the now iconic GO-14 bag is the chic and striking LV Biker bag. In keeping with the ready-to-wear collection's
theme of 'soft power' , this bag embodies a new spirit of femininity that is both delicate and powerful. Designed by
Nicolas Ghesquière , Louis Vuitton's artistic director of women's collections, and inspired by classic biker jackets, it combines resilience with elegance while showcasing new leather techniques and exceptional details borrowed from the maison's rich history of trunk-making.

Similar to other iconic styles like the Speedy and Keepall, the bag is supple and structured, with a foldable construction that makes it sophisticated and versatile. It can be worn in multiple ways thanks to an assortment of straps and handles – turning it into a clutch, shoulder bag or a cross-body.
Another defining feature is the new Pixel two-toned grained lambskin leather, with a unique texture which is created by adding a surface layer of colour to create more depth. The bag comes in a range of cool colours and three sizes ranging from the MM – a larger style for all your essentials – to the Nano which is perfect for an evening out.

The new Sneakerina shoe is also sure to be a must-have for modern women. This fresh creation plays on contrasts and is a hybrid design that can best be described as part trainer, part contemporary ballet flat. Embodying a more minimalist approach to sportswear, its dynamic, streamlined silhouette includes a flexible sole that offers incredible freedom of movement and agility. It's also a testament to functional elegance – each variation has been specially designed for everyday wear to match any look, be it casual or formal.

Each style features Louis Vuitton's signatures of course, such as the Monogram pattern, Monogram canvas and LV Circle. Choose from myriad material and colour combinations, including velvet-effect and metallic leathers, technical satin, glittering sequin embroidery and mesh, in a striking palette of tones such as fuchsia, forest green, beige, black and white, pink, blue and silver.

Louis Vuitton plans opulent, Frank Gehry-designed Rodeo Drive flagship in Beverly Hills

Louis Vuitton is gearing up to go over the top again in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. With plans for an ultra-opulent hotel on Rodeo Drive stymied by voters two years ago, the Paris fashion house's owners are back with a proposal for a theatrical flagship store designed by Frank Gehry that would anchor the north end of the famous retail corridor. Luxury goods stores on Rodeo Drive are growing larger as top-shelf retailers increasingly up the ante to dazzle shoppers, and the vision from Louis Vuitton owner LVMH is one of the biggest yet, with restaurants, rooftop gardens and exhibition space. Set to open in 2029 pending city approval, the store will be one continuous structure connected across an alley by two pedestrian bridges and a tunnel. The flagship store will be built on the site on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California (above) on which Louis Vuitton had proposed building a Cheval Blanc Beverly Hills hotel. City planners rejected that proposal. Photo: AFP Louis Vuitton's new store will be 45,000 sq ft (4,180 square metres) on the retail side fronting on Rodeo Drive and an additional 55,000 square feet on the hospitality-focused side of the building. 'The new location will take visitors into a full Louis Vuitton lifestyle experience showcasing its diverse universes of products and one-of-a-kind client experiences,' the company said.

Louis Vuitton Cruise 2026 show in Avignon: Nicolas Ghesquière wows front-row guests Cate Blanchett, Emma Stone with ‘female knights' and courtly theme

When Louis Vuitton announced last month that its cruise 2026 show would take place at the Palais des Papes in Avignon, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France, the French luxury label couldn't have predicted that the pomp and circumstance of the papacy would make front page news only a few days later, when Pope Francis passed away. Barely three weeks before the unveiling of the collection, the Catholic Church named a new pope, Leo XIV, the first American pontiff in history. Built in less than 20 years starting in 1335, the Palais des Papes became a temporary papal residence during a time of turmoil in the Vatican in the XIV century. Considered one of the most important Gothic buildings in Europe, the palace hosted six conclaves, and was named a Unesco World Heritage site in 1995. Photo: Reuters The grandeur and history of the papacy, however, were not on Louis Vuitton's womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière' s mind when he picked the landmark as a backdrop for the unveiling of the collection. Since 1947 the palace has been home to the Festival d'Avignon, one of France's most celebrated cultural events. In an interview before the show, the designer recalled attending the festival at the age of 29, when he saw artists such as Icelandic singer Björk and German dancer Pina Bausch perform on stage. He called the experience of being surrounded by so much culture as a young man 'a game changer in my aesthetic as a designer'. A dress inspired by a medieval coat of arms. Other references included the armours of medieval knights, the tapestries decorating the interior of the Palais des Papes – and even the legend of Excalibur, the magic sword of King Arthur. Accessories ranged from open-toed boots heavily embellished with mirror fragments and crystals to Louis Vuitton's signature bags such as the Alma and the Petit Malle decorated with Gothic motifs. Three boxy bags made of wood were the result of a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Paris-based independent designer Thomas Rogers.

Blackpink's Lisa stirs outrage with Met Gala lingerie that appears to show Rosa Parks' face

K-pop star Lisa, who also stars in the most recent season of The White Lotus, is facing backlash after wearing Louis Vuitton lingerie to the Met Gala that appears to be illustrated with Rosa Parks' face. Advertisement The 28-year-old Thai star of Blackpink sported a pearl-encrusted black blazer with a pearl chain to fashion's biggest night held at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lisa also wore sheer tights emblazoned with Vuitton's signature symbols, over which were panties that appeared to bear the face of the late civil rights activist. Vogue reported that acclaimed black artist Henry Taylor, known for embroidering miniature works onto clothing, did so for the ensemble worn on Monday by Lisa, real name Lalisa Manobal. 'Using Rosa Parks' image in this manner appears to be a blatant lack of respect and sensitivity towards her legacy and the struggles she faced during the Civil Rights Movement,' read one tweet. 'Lisa needs to fire her whole PR team at this point,' read one tweet, posted in all caps. 'Why is [Rosa] Parks on your p – girl!!!' Advertisement 'WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA????? Mind you not only is it highly distasteful how is this on theme?' read another.
