Jackie Shroff Says It's An ‘Absolute Necessity' To Insure Stuntmen: ‘Even If You Plan…'

Published By : IANS Last Updated: Safety concerns for stuntmen resurfaced after the death of veteran stuntman Mohan Raj during Vettuvam shoot. Jackie Shroff reiterated the need to insure stuntmen. Actor Jackie Shroff was seen performing some high-octane action sequences in his latest web series, 'Hunter Season 2," alongside Suniel Shetty. During an exclusive interaction with IANS, Jackie was asked if stuntmen should be insured; the 'Hero' actor agreed, saying that it is an absolute necessity. Speaking to IANS, he said, 'It must be ensured that the stunts are being executed properly, as it cannot be determined when a mishap might take place." 'Even if you plan the best, the stunts must be well-rehearsed. Along with that, one can only depend on the calculations made before a stunt, and the rest is up to God," Jackie added. Suniel also revealed that he is always conscious while performing an action sequence. 'I am not concerned for my own safety, but for the safety of everyone involved in the scene," he shared. The concern for the safety of stuntmen has become a topic of discussion in the industry after a Tamil film stunt trainer, Mohanraj, recently passed away during the shoot of director Pa Ranjith's 'Vettuvam". Coming back to 'Hunter 2", Jackie is seen as the antagonist, 'The Salesman' in the second season of the action-packed drama. Speaking about his character, Jackie added, 'Jumping into Hunter 2 – Tootega Nahi Todega was a wild ride. The world had its own vibe, and then this Salesman walks in and turns it all upside down. Playing him was like holding fire in your hands – calm, yet deadly. The trailer's out, Bhidus! Time to dive in and enjoy the ride!" Made under the direction of Prince Dhiman, in collaboration with Alok Batra, the action entertainer also features Anusha Dandekar and Barkha Bisht in significant roles, along with others. Kartik Aaryan says he'll faint if he experiences anything supernatural

Kartik Aaryan, fresh off horror comedies like 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and the upcoming 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', is set to star in 'Naagzilla', a fantasy-comedy. Aaryan claims he's never experienced anything supernatural and hopes to keep it that way. He recounted a time when his mother performed a ritual to ward off the evil eye during the success of his films. After tickling the audience's funny bones with back-to-back horror comedies Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and the upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik Aaryan is now ready to step into an all-new fantastical world with Naagzilla, a fantasy-comedy where he is reportedly set to play a shape-shifting snake. As he ventures into yet another supernatural universe on screen, Kartik insists he has never encountered anything remotely eerie in real life—and wants to keep it that way. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, the actor revealed, "I have never experienced the supernatural, and I don't even want to, as it would be very problematic. While doing horror comedy, you can react for a long time, and you can show fear etc., but if it happens in reality, I will faint (laughs).' The actor, who has become a familiar face in genres that flirt with the mystical and bizarre, admitted that he draws a strict line between reel and real when it comes to the paranormal. When asked whether he believes in nazar (evil eye), Kartik shared a candid anecdote involving his mother. 'No, not really anything for nazar. But I remember back during Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, I was falling ill regularly, so mummy ne woh mirchi ghuma ke jalayi thi. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Someone had told her that shayad nazar lag gayi hogi, as things had started going well for me. At times people do become superstitious—but hopefully not to that extent. My parents are doctors after all.' Still, despite the rational upbringing, the actor admits faith plays a role in his journey. 'Yes, we are religious. We go to temples for prayers. Like, we go to Siddhivinayak when something big is happening in life.' Kartik is amidst two films right now one is with Sreeleela , directed by Anurag Basu and the other being with Ananya Panday which has been titled as Tu Meri Mani Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
