The Celebrity Beauty Brand Products People Actually Swear By
We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page.
Far from being low-quality cash grabs, these products from celebrity brands are vouched for by people who have used them.
If you keep up with the beauty industry at all, you might've noticed a number of celebrity brands cropping up in the makeup, skincare, and hair care landscape over the past few years. This trend has understandably been met with some skepticism and criticism from consumers, who are adept at recognizing cash grabs when they see them — leading to some of these brands ultimately falling flat.
Still, that doesn't mean you should write off all beauty products associated with A-listers. In fact, a few are really, really good, and could even reach 'holy grail' status. To find out which stars pass the test, I asked people who have used makeup, skin, and hair care from celeb brands for their favorites. Their responses ranged from affordable drugstore finds to luxurious prestige products.
Check out their recommendations below, and save yourself the trouble of spending a ton on a product that relies on its name and little else.
1. The TikTok-viral liquid blush from Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty
Sephora
Shopping writer Haley Zovickian, senior life editor Lindsay Holmes, and operations associate Alexandra Niforos can all vouch for Rare Beauty's quality, with Zovickian and Niforos specifically highlighting the brand's Soft Pinch liquid blush. "The liquid blush went TikTok viral several times over the incredible color payoff and the gorgeous shades," Zovickian says. "A little goes a long way, so it's sure to last!"
The tube comes with a doe foot applicator, so you can easily apply and blend one or two dots (that's all you need!).
Get it from Sephora for $15+ (available in two sizes, two finishes and a variety of shades).
2.
Sephora
Wellness reporter Jillian Wilson put forth a recommendation for the Eaze Drop blurring skin tint by Fenty Beauty. She was backed up by Niforos and news reporter Sanjana Karanth, who have also used and loved it. (Fenty Beauty also appears to be a popular choice over on Reddit, as celebrity brands go.)
The skin tint is light coverage with a natural finish. The formula is sweat- and transfer-resistant and can be applied with your fingers, a sponge, or a brush to buff it out. There are 25 shades available (the two shown here are 1 and 25).
Get it from Sephora for $36.
3. And Fenty Beauty's ultra-popular Gloss Bomb
Sephora
If you love a high-shine lip gloss, look no further. Managing editor Marquaysa Battle swears by the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb universal lip luminizer, saying, "It's the longest-lasting lip gloss on the market, 100%." Karanth agrees that Fenty's glosses "never miss."
These glosses contain shea butter to moisturize the lips, and the formula is designed to be non-sticky. It has a peach-vanilla scent and comes in eight shimmering shades.
Get it from Sephora for $21.
4. An exfoliating scalp scrub from TPH by Taraji P. Henson
Target
Battle says this sugar scalp scrub from TPH by Taraji is a "lifesaver," noting, "It's really helpful for removing product buildup and/or dandruff from a dry scalp."
Aside from sugar crystals for exfoliation, the scrub contains apple cider vinegar, coconut and peppermint oils to help cleanse and moisturize the scalp. It also has a scrub to balm formula, making it easy to rinse out after you massage it in.
Get it from Target for $12.99.
5.
Walmart
Copy editor Shonitria Anthony is likewise a fan of TPH by Taraji's products, and shouted out the Twist and Set cream for how well it works on natural hair. This cream can soften and moisturize hair thanks to shea butter, mango seed butter and nourishing oils. Made for curls and coils, you can apply the cream to wet hair and then twist or otherwise style the hair as you wish. The cream can help reduce frizz and shrinkage and have a lasting hold on your curls.
Get it from Walmart for $13.97.
6.
Target
Anthony also said her boyfriend likes the face products in the Papatui line, which is sold at Target. Our editor's pick is this daily moisturizer, which is marketed toward men like the rest of Papatui but is unscented and has pretty neutral packaging. It's lightweight, absorbs quickly into the skin with a matte finish and boasts 24-hour hydration thanks to ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and ceramides. The hydration can also lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, so this is a good option for mature skin as well. Best of all, it's just under $10, one of the cheapest products on this list.
Get it from Target for $9.99.
7. A gel eyeliner from Halsey's af94
Ulta
While shopping writer Tessa Flores was initially skeptical of this gel eyeliner pencil from Halsey's af94 line, she says, "When I ran out of my regular eyeliner, I decided to just give it a shot and I was shocked at the formula. It applies with the ease and control of a traditional pencil eyeliner but with greater opacity than you would expect and no skipping or dragging on the skin. It actually feels more like a cream than anything else.
"I like that I'm able to smoke it out a bit into a wing with a fine eyeliner brush to get that soft cat eye look and because it's a gel formula, it really doesn't budge once it dries down. I've even worn it to dance classes and it doesn't move. You also don't need a sharpener because it's a twist-up pencil that automatically sharpens with each turn."
The eyeliner comes in six shades.
Haus Labs
Senior director Greta Geiselman has had success with a few products from Lady Gaga's cosmetics brand, Haus Labs. Haus Labs has also gotten a lot of praise among makeup fans on Reddit, held in similar regard to Fenty Beauty and Rare Beauty.
Our pick is the bestselling Triclone Skin Tech medium coverage foundation, which has 4.7 stars across over 12,000 ratings on the Haus Labs site. Available in a whopping 48 shades, the foundation is noncomedogenic and hypoallergenic, and the fermented arnica in the formula works to reduce redness. It has a natural finish and medium coverage.
You can use the Haus Labs shade finder to identify your best match.
9.
Amazon
Karanth called Pattern Beauty "amazing" and uses three of their products in her routine: the Palo Santo leave-in conditioner, the Palo Santo curl mousse, and the curl gel pictured here. The gel works with fine, medium, and thick hair and can define and hold curls without making them crunchy or flaky. It has a sweet floral fragrance and contains aloe vera, coconut oil, and cacay oil to show some extra love to your hair.
Get it from Amazon for $27.89.
10. The cult-favorite matte lip kit from Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics
Target
According to Zovickian, "Kylie Cosmetics is don't-shoot-the-messenger level good." She added, "The lip liners and liquid lipsticks in particular are the comfiest and longest lasting on lips I've tried." You may have heard of Kylie Cosmetics' lip kits, which contain one of each, as a major celebrity beauty breakout of the 2010s.
The products in this lip kit deliver a matte finish, with the lip liner being waterproof, smudge-proof and able to last up to 24 hours. The liquid lipstick, meanwhile, has an 8-hour wear time and a slight vanilla scent. You can get a kit in nine different shades.
Get it from Target for $35.

Women Are Sharing The Everyday Things They've Had To Teach A Grown Man, And I'm Both Cackling And Crying
In light of Sabrina Carpenter's new track "Manchild," where she cheekily laments the frustrations of dealing with emotionally — and maybe intellectually — underdeveloped men, a TikTok video on the topic has gone viral. In the video, while lip-syncing to the lyrics, "Stupid / Or is it slow? / Maybe it's useless? / But there's a cuter word for it, I know / Man-chiiiild," user @JJKNNDY poses the question: "What's ur favorite everyday thing u had to teach a man?" The responses were equal parts hilarious, exasperating, and painfully relatable. Naturally, I had to share some of the best: 1."My ex had a superiority complex about his music taste and when he showed me a new super unique song he found it gave me so much joy to tell him it was actually the kardashian theme song." 2."that Gnomeo and Juliet was actually based on a Shakespeare play and wasn't an original piece of media." 3."That if you have twins you're not pregnant for 18 months 🧍♀️." 4."That babies do not in fact grow in the stomach of a woman and instead there's a whole organ for it called the uterus." 5."That I can't just 'hold it in' when I start my period." 6."I taught my first boyfriend how to make a cheese toastie and he said 'you've changed my life.'" 7."The difference between your and you're. And guess what his major was? Journalism." 8."That liquids can in fact have calories. He literally thought that juicing fruit removed the calories 🤦🏻♀️." 9."that women don't all have their periods at the same time every month ?? (he thought we all had it from the 1st to 7th of the month) 💀." 10."He thought that me dying my hair was permanent. As in he thought it'd keep coming out of my scalp as the dye color 💔 had to carefully explain to him that it grows out." 11."That he did in fact need to attend a job interview to get a job. He said it's fine because 'he knows he's capable' — yeah okay but they don't??" 12."Which order to use shampoo and conditioner..." 13."that bedsheets and towels aren't self cleaning and do in fact need put in the washer… he didn't realise his mum had been doing it for him for his whole life and moved out and let that shit rot for a YEAR…." 14."to wash his hands after going to the toilet💕." 15."I had to teach a man that the title of his own job was in fact not 'soup chef', but 'sous chef'…" 16."he asked me if the eggs come out of the chicken with the shell or they put the shell around it in the egg factory.." 17."That it's 'out of the blue' and not 'out of the bloom' (while I was breaking up with him)." 18."had to explain the concept of other people having emotions different than his step. by. step. with multiple examples... 'how would you feel in that situation?'... 'i'm not in that situation, what do you mean?'" 19."How to use a colander. He was washing the blueberries individually under the sink and laying them in the colander." 20."boil water 😀." 21."That you have to brush your teeth in the morning AND night (no doing it for twice as long one time a day is NOT THE SAME THING???)" 22."what misogynistic meant, he said, and I quote, 'can you guys stop using such big words? i don't understand.'" 23."That you should say hello to people who greet you at the door. How to cook pasta, how to spray cleaner on a table, how to have a basic conversation, basic words, how to stick food in an air fryer. my ex lol 💀" 24."The word 'no.'" 25."That the plural of woman is women…" 26."said he knew the 'science stuff' behind periods, when I said about bleeding he was shocked and asked where we bleed from, do we just get loads of cuts on our skin that bleed... what?" And lastly, amongst the many comments, someone asked, "where are y'all finding these social experiments bruh🙏." To which another replied, "They walk amongst us." Le sigh, that might just be the scariest part. Sabrina Carpenter may have delivered the "Manchild" anthem, but clearly, we have provided the evidence. Now, I turn it over to you: What's the most bafflingly basic thing you've had to teach a man? Drop it in the comments or share anonymously via the form below.

Iconic '90s Sitcom Star, 60, Celebrates Major Milestone With Rare Appearance
Iconic '90s Sitcom Star, 60, Celebrates Major Milestone With Rare Appearance originally appeared on Parade. As David Puddy — better known as simply "Puddy" — on Seinfeld, Patrick Warburton uttered some of the iconic sitcom's most unforgettable lines, from "You stole my Jesus fish" to "Gotta support the team," to "Ask the 8-Ball!" Over 30 years later, the beloved actor is still making fans laugh — but now he's cracking jokes live onstage. Warburton, 60, took to TikTok this week to celebrate the one-year anniversary of his first stand-up performance with a clip from the taping of his debut stand-up special, "Still Catholic," on June 7 at the El Portal Theater in Los Angeles. "Thanks to everyone who came out last weekend to help celebrate my one-year anniversary," he wrote in his caption of the video montage, which showed the actor performing in a backwards baseball cap for an enthusiastic crowd (but didn't reveal any of his material just yet). In an interview with The Wrap last month, Warburton opened up about his recent foray into stand-up comedy, calling the last year "one of the most amazing years" of his life. 'It's just been a wild ride this year," he said, adding, "I have been touring non-stop and I had never done this before. I wrote and I performed and it's been an incredible year. I've never known this kind of autonomy. I've always been told what to do and what to say, how to say a word, and that all changed.' 'There's a part of me that's like why did you wait 'til now?" Warburton continued. "But there's another part that's like where are you going with this at the age of 60? But then there's another side of me that's just like, at this point, it doesn't matter because it's been one of the most amazing years. So much fun,' the comedian went on to say, joking that he's "really enjoyed throwing everybody under the bus" as part of his act. "You know, my family, they're all up for it. They love it," he said, explaining that his routine revolves around "fun dumb things. There's great perspective stuff on societal things, there's a lot of family stuff. I feel like, to a degree, I'm relatable. I'm on stage for 70 minutes, I don't really talk about Seinfeld apart from references in regards to my family that might have something to do with that. But at the end of the day, it's standup.'Iconic '90s Sitcom Star, 60, Celebrates Major Milestone With Rare Appearance first appeared on Parade on Jun 13, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 13, 2025, where it first appeared.
