Katie Thurston believes surrogacy will be 'best option' amid cancer battle
Katie Thurston has admitted surrogacy is now the "best option" for her to have a child. The 'Bachelorette' star recently revealed her breast cancer - which was diagnosed last month - had spread to her liver and is now classed as stage 4, and she and new husband Jeff Arcuri have been discussing the best way to move forward with their plans to start a family amid her health struggles. Responding to a fan on Instagram who asked if she'd now have to use a surrogate, she replied: 'I never like the word 'have to' with anything medical related. 'Kind of like 'never say never.' However, yes, Jeff and I discussed the importance of my health and that when the time comes, surrogacy will likely be the best option for us." The 35-year-old beauty urged people not to judge those who opt for surrogacy as a way to have a child. She added: 'A friendly reminder to stop judging celebrities who pursue surrogacy because you don't know what they have going on in their personal lives." Katie also explained medication Zoladex would 'play a role in fertility preservation during treatment.' She explained: 'I'm basically putting my ovaries into a temporary menopausal state (I like to say hibernation), to protect them from chemo. 'It will also reduce estrogen production, which is particularly important in hormone receptor ER+/PR+ breast cancer, as estrogen can fuel cancer growth. I iced my stomach for three minutes before they did the injection. Painless all things considered. No symptoms that I noticed either.(sic)" Earlier this month, Katie explained she had undergone IVF treatment ahead of starting her chemotherapy. She told Us Weekly magazine: "Chemo does impact your reproductive health. It does raise the risk of you not being able to conceive. " Knowing that we wanted kids in the future, we thought, 'OK, let's do IVF just to have that option.' We dedicated two weeks before doing anything else breast cancer-wise to doing IVF... "[Some] doctors almost frown upon it or they want to put fear in you and say, 'No, you need to take care of this cancer.' So a lot of women don't even realise that you can take 10 days to dedicate time to your reproductive health and your future family plans. We were able to retrieve 17 eggs and of those 17, six became embryos.' Thurston praised her partner for supporting her throughout the process. 'He's been to every single appointment with me so far. He's done every single shot that's involved with IVF,' she added.

Is Paradise season 2 releasing in June 2025? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on June 9, 2025, 17:30 IST Last updated June 9, 2025, 11:45 IST Hulu's hit dystopian thriller Paradise has fans eagerly awaiting news about its second season. With its gripping plot and stellar cast, including Sterling K. Brown, Julianne Nicholson, and James Marsden, the show has captured widespread attention. But is Paradise Season 2 releasing in June 2025? Here's everything we know so far. Paradise Season 2 Renewal Status Hulu officially renewed Paradise for a second season on February 20, 2025, before the first season's finale aired on March 4, 2025. The announcement came via the show's Instagram account, with Sterling K. Brown sharing the exciting news in a video responding to fans clamoring for more episodes. Creator Dan Fogelman also celebrated the renewal on X, thanking fans for their enthusiasm and theorizing about the show's twists. With the renewal confirmed early, production moved quickly, ensuring fans won't face a long wait for the next chapter. Is Paradise Season 2 Releasing in June 2025? As of June 9, 2025, Hulu has not confirmed a specific premiere date for Paradise Season 2, and a June 2025 release is highly unlikely. Series creator Dan Fogelman has stated that production began in April 2025, with scripts already written. In interviews with Deadline and Variety , Fogelman expressed frustration with long gaps between seasons and aims to release Season 2 in early 2026, potentially aligning with the January 2025 premiere window of Season 1. While some sources speculate a possible early 2026 debut, no official confirmation points to June 2025. Fans should expect new episodes between January and summer 2026, depending on production timelines. What Will Paradise Season 2 Be About? Paradise Season 2 will pick up where the Season 1 finale, 'The Man Who Kept the Secrets,' left off. The first season revealed that Paradise is a city-sized underground bunker in Colorado, housing survivors three years after a catastrophic climate event. The finale resolved the mystery of President Cal Bradford's murder, identifying Trent (Ian Merrigan), a former construction leader, as the killer seeking justice for workers poisoned during the bunker's creation. It also disclosed that 55 million Americans, including Xavier's wife Teri, survived the apocalypse outside the bunker, a secret kept by Sinatra to maintain control.
