‘Arjun Chakravarthy' set for release

Vijaya Ramaraju plays the title role in the sports drama 'Arjun Chakravarthy'. Directed by Vikrant Rudra and produced by Srini Gubbala, the film has already won 46 international film awards. Its release teaser and songs have received an excellent response. The film will hit screens on August 29. On this occasion, producer Srini Gubbala shared details of the project at a press conference. Background 'We are from West Godavari Tanuku. My father Gubbala Rama Rao is a social worker. I went to the US when I was 18. I have always been interested in creativity. We also do creative work in software. As my passion grew, I entered films,' said Srini. How the project started 'I was introduced to director Vikrant through my cousin. I really liked the story he told. After traveling with him for about six months, we decided to begin the project. We gave the director complete creative freedom.' On choosing a sports drama 'The joy of doing something new creatively is unique. A few stories have been set in the backdrop of Kabaddi, but no film has taken it this seriously. We wanted to make it a benchmark.' About the story 'Nagulaiah, a Kabaddi player from Nalgonda also known as Arjun, is an excellent player. The film is made with 60% true events from his life and 40% fiction. It also has good commercial elements.' Casting choices 'The story demanded many transformations in the hero's character, which required full commitment. We wanted authenticity and international recognition, which we achieved. The film received appreciation at festivals.' 'Director Vikrant is very passionate and has made the film wonderfully. Vignesh Baskaran, who worked as sound engineer for 'Vikram Vedha', has composed the music, which is receiving great response. The heroine's role runs from beginning to end, and she even won Best Actress at one of the festivals. The hero trained for six months, and we recruited real Kabaddi players from state and district levels.' Producer Srini Gubbala concluded: 'There has never been a film like 'Arjun Chakravarthy' set in the backdrop of Kabaddi. The film will definitely connect with everyone.'

Shah Rukh Khan Played His Role In Yash Chopra's Darr. Now, His Son Is Making A Comeback

Suraj Berry, son of Sudesh Berry, returns to acting after years away. Despite early setbacks, he's now auditioning for TV, OTT, and films with renewed zeal. Suraj Berry, son of Bollywood veteran Sudesh Berry, is all set to return to the acting world after spending years away from the industry. He was supposed to make his Bollywood debut in 2011 with The Little Godfather. Despite being completely shot, the film was stalled due to differences between producers, Suniel Shetty and Ekta Kapoor. After experiencing early setbacks in his career, Suraj moved to a very different path, but his passion for acting never faded away. Sitting down for an interview with a media portal, Suraj revealed that he is ready to give his passion another shot, auditioning for roles across TV, OTT and films with much more zeal. Suraj Berry's Early Life And Shadow Of Stardom In an interview with ETimes, Suraj said, 'Born in Mumbai, I was always a shy child. I completed my schooling at Arya Vidya Mandir and graduated from Mithibai College. My father was extremely busy during my growing-up years, and though I missed spending quality time with him, I never blamed him." 'He was one of the most sought-after personalities in the 90s, working back-to-back and earning immense love and respect wherever he went," he added. Suraj Berry's Love For Acting Speaking about his love for the craft, Suraj recalls being inspired by his father's career. 'From a very young age, I was fascinated by acting, especially after seeing the warmth and admiration my father received. I made my debut in a film called The Little Godfather, jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor and Suniel Shetty, based on the 7/11 Mumbai train bomb blasts. Unfortunately, even after completing more than 90 per cent of the shoot, the film was shelved for reasons unknown. This was heartbreaking for me." He added, 'Even after that, I signed 2–3 more films, but none of them made it to completion." Suraj Berry's Shift To A Different Profession Disappointed by the unpredictable film industry, Suraj decided to move abroad. 'Disheartened, I moved to Australia, where I completed my Master's in professional accounting and also pursued an acting course to hone my craft," he shared. For the past few years, he has been working as a prison officer in a maximum-security prison in Australia, an experience he describes as full of 'real-life drama and human stories." Suraj Berry Is Ready To Face The Camera Again Now, Suraj feels the time is right for a fresh start in the entertainment world. 'I feel the pull back to where my heart truly belongs, acting. I'm currently auditioning for various projects across TV, OTT, and films, trusting my instincts to guide me toward the right opportunities," he said. Sudesh Berry's Acting Career Talking about his father Sudesh Berry's career, the actor has carved a niche for himself in both film and television. He is known for iconic roles in films like Border, Army and Sanam Teri Kasam, as well as TV shows such as Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Suraag: The Clue. I was off the screen for three years; I have no regrets: Suraj Gowda

After his directorial debut Ninna Sanihake, Suraj Gowda took a three-year break from the big screen. That hiatus ends with his upcoming romantic thriller, by Gururaj Kulkarni, in which he stars opposite Sharanya Shetty . It was the strength of the screenplay, he says, that clinched the deal. 'CHOOSING TO STAY REAL IN A WORLD OF GLAMOUR' 'In those three years away from celluloid, I kept reminding myself to stay grounded. As actors, we have a responsibility to portray the raw and real side of life—not just its glitzy surface. Until you become a star, staying afloat isn't always easy. Work doesn't always come as often as you'd like, and there were moments I wondered if the wait would go on forever. But it's important to snap out of such thoughts and stay rooted in reality. To keep my spirits high, I began writing scripts for my directorial and committed to a rigorous fitness routine. Because when you're working out, you have to be fully present— your mind can't wander. That discipline has paid off; this role required me to bulk up, and soon after, I plan to start my next directorial. In the end, it all worked out for the best,' he observes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Diversify your portfolio with Edelweiss NFO Edelweiss Mutual Fund AMC Undo 'CHOOSING THE WRONG PROJECT CAN SET YOU BACK SEVERAL STEPS' The industry has its priorities right—films run on numbers, business, and a winning horse. Until you become someone people are willing to bet on, the key is to keep yourself motivated. I'm not the kind to sulk and ask why no one is picking me. Choosing the wrong project can set you back several steps, so I decided it was better to wait than accept something that wasn't right. The industry is simply doing what it must—it's up to us to keep pace,' Suraj tells us. 'SU FROM SO IS A MOTIVATION FOR SMALL INVESTORS' Small films need to win for investors to gain the confidence to back actors who aren't yet stars. Su from So didn't have big names, but it had great content. I'm so glad it will now encourage investors to support smaller films, giving emerging actors the platform to prove their worth. In a climate where the industry is hungry for hits, successful small films are the best motivation. I hope more people step forward to help aspiring actors realise their dreams. That's my biggest takeaway from my three-year break,' Suraj says. "Get the latest news updates on Times of India, including reviews of the movie Coolie and War 2 ."
