Brandon Graham recalls one of his standout moments from the Eagles vs Cowboys rivalry
To everyone in the Philadelphia Eagles organization, locker room, and fan base, they were known as the core four: Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, Fletcher Cox, and Lane Johnson. These were four long-time veterans who had been around forever and played their entire careers in Philly.
These are legends. Each one is the author of a unique story. Tales about these guys could take hours to tell. Jason, Fletch, and B.G. are the only Birds who played for Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Doug Pederson, and Nick Sirianni. Lane joined the nest during Chip's coaching era.
Graham, the first player Howie Roseman drafted, finally called it a career after 15 seasons and a second Super Bowl win, leaving Johnson as the lone remaining Core Four member. B.G. recently joined the highly popular Good Morning Football show. An Eagle through and through, when the conversation shifted to one of his favorite moments, his thoughts turned to bringing down a Dallas Cowboys signal-caller.
Brandon Graham shares a standout memory from the Eagles and Cowboys rivalry
As days trickle off the calendar and we move further away from the most recent NFL Draft, we've spent time thinking about this new ten-man 2025 draft class. We've also thought about the undrafted rookie free agents that were added and some of our favorite memories of past selection meetings.
Two of those memories involve troll jobs by former Birds B.G. and David Akers while introducing new Eagles draftees. One of the many reasons Graham endeared himself to Eagles fans was that he embraced the magnitude of Philadelphia's rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys. So, when asked about playing vs. one of Philly's top rivals, it should surprise no one that he mentioned an opportunity to bury Dak Prescott.
We have many fond memories of Eagles wins over the Cowboys, but B.G. is right. This one is a classic. While seeing Philly play without 55 will undoubtedly take some getting used to, we can offer him enough thanks to last a lifetime.
Nothing will ever top seeing him strip Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52. This one warms our hearts, though. Every victory over Dallas and the moments that helped those wins occur will always hold special meaning.

Dak Prescott makes clear what his Cowboys priority is: ‘Be damned if it's just for my legacy'

Dak Prescott wants a championship ring, no matter the cost. Prescott told reporters on Thursday that it is his primary goal, regardless of the legacy he leaves in the NFL. 'Yeah, I want to win a championship,' Prescott said. 'The legacy, the things, whatever comes after I finish playing will take care of itself. I want to win a championship. Be damned if it's just for my legacy, or if it's for this team, for my personal being, for my sanity. Yeah, the legacy will take care of itself. I have to stay where my feet are.' Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is entering his 10th season with the Cowboys. AP Prescott is getting ready for his 10th NFL season, and only Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman has had a longer tenure in Dallas while starting under center. While Prescott, 31, has led the Cowboys to five playoff appearances, those trips have always ended before the team reached the NFC championship. Prescott has recently faced some tough injury luck, missing games in four of the last five seasons due to different setbacks. Last season, he missed nine games due to surgery on his hamstring. Now, as the 2025 season is approaching, Prescott seems to be feeling good about things in Dallas, with whom he signed a four-year, $240 million extension before last season, which has already been restructured. 'These OTAs, just the way that I've been seeing minicamp, the communication with [coach Brian Schottenheimer], with the quarterbacks or the quarterback room, just a lot of good things,' Prescott said. 'A lot of really good things that have me in a great place. I'm healthy. Excited as hell.' First-year head coach for the Dallas Cowboys Brian Schottenheimer AP With a new head coach in Schottenheimer, maybe they can complete Prescott's goal and bring a Lombardi Trophy back to the Lone Star State.

Bald Eagle Area softball falls short in PIAA championship

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WTAJ) – Bald Eagle Area's softball team entered the PIAA Class 3A Championship Game on Friday hoping for revenge against Pine Grove Area, who handed the Eagles a loss in the title game back in 2019. However, the Cardinals got the best of them once again, winning 4-3 in the 13th inning at Penn State's Beard Field at Nittany Lion Softball Park. Addisyn Burns gave Bald Eagle Area an early lead in the third inning with a two-run double. Steelers unfazed by Watt's absence The Eagles saw a strong pitching performance from Sierra Albright, but errors allowed Pine Grove Area to take control of the game early on. In the bottom of the third inning, Callee Leffler hit a triple into right field but was able to score the Cardinals' first run of the game due to a throwing error. In the fourth inning, Jamie Dinger tied the game at two with an RBI double but would advance to third base on another error. Pine Grove Area capitalized on that as Tailyn Bohr would give them the lead with an RBI single. Trailing 3-2 in the seventh inning, Bald Eagle Area played small ball, using a sacrifice bunt and sacrifice fly to help force the game into extra innings. After each team had opportunities to win it in extras, Dinger was the hero in the 13th inning, winning the game with a bases loaded sacrifice fly. The loss drops Bald Eagle Area's record to 2-6 in the PIAA Championship Game. The Eagles finished their remarkable season with a 22-4 record. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
